xxxxxxWelcome to the Central Wasteland, where you can see what remains of the New York metropolis and the surrounding land. It is here in this unforgiving wasteland that men and women struggle to survive. Some seek shelter from the horrors of the wasteland, only to be swallowed up by it. Others take gun in hand and carve out their own destiny. What you are makes little difference. Either you take charge and discover your destiny or it finds you. It has been ten years since the completion of Project Purity, but the world seems to have scarcely changed. There is free clean water for others, but not within this wasteland. A branch of the Commonwealth control the distribution of water in the Central Wasteland and for all purposes, seek to crush the common wastelanders while raising up the wealthy and powerful in their vain attempt to create a new government. The southern region of the Central Wasteland remains mostly free from this tyranny, however it has become a nest for mercenaries and raiders. The north is far less plagued by these wasteland vagabonds, but is viciously controlled by the Commonwealth who employ their own policing force known as Black Company. In this place of danger and uncertainty, you can become many things. Will you be a hero, a villain, or will you be neither? Your choices are your own, as are the consequences of those decisions.
