Ma Chao had seen a couple of glimpses of Sima Shi while spending his time alone in the Pockettu shop. There seems to be a lot of thing that are new to the young man, seeing all kinds of monsters, half breeds, pairings of human and otherworldly creature he thought he'd never see.
"Sometimes I just long for something familiar." he said outloud and shoved his hands into his pockets. That's why he's been drawn towards the Sima family. Despite being part of enemy faction, those lines didn't concern Chao anymore. They were familiar to him, and he could want nothing more at this moment.

In a strange and bizarre world the Sima brothers, Shi and Zhao, were lucky enough to be shipped together. It was filled with oddities and things unknown to their nature yet they had managed to adapt well enough without their father for some time. Although they were talented boys, it was because they had each other to fall back on if anything went wrong. As lazy and careless Zhao seemed to be, he cared for his older brother. Family was the most important thing to Zhao most of the time. Shi on the other hand, although ruthless and harsh towards his younger brother, meant well and sought to guide him through the scoldings. Together they were well enough to establish a small fortress which they secretly dubbed 'Jin'.
Sima Yi, the father of the boys, had arrived on a later date. He was impressed at his sons ability to work together despite their differences. It was reassuring to know that the family would not crumble in his absence if that were happened to be the case again. He had raised his boys well - he had raised them right.
Presently though, Zhao had been kicked out of the fortress by one of his brother's fits of rage over his precious meatbuns being eaten again. Their father was attempting to calm Shi down... with little success. Zhao scratched the back of his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Well.. no point in crying over it... he'll come around, eventually..."
Slowly he strolled forwards, walking down the path to give his brother some time to clear his thoughts. It was on his stroll he stumbled across one of Shu's people, Ma Chao. He smiled and waved over to the man. "Heeeeyyyy! Ma Chao!"

Not really a man built for heavy thoughts and long periods of pondering, Ma Chao was simply walking and doing a bit if exercise before he realized he was yet again among the present of the esteemed Sima clan. This time, it was Sima Zhao, the younger brother, who approached him. He smiled and waved back. Chao couldn't be more grateful to Zhao, the only Sima to not count him as an enemy at the moment.
He waved back and walked towards the younger man. "Hello there, Zhao! I hope I'm not intruding on enemy territory now," he chuckled, making a reference to a previous encounter he had with Shi. Just a few steps in and he was chased out by the stricter brother for invading their space.

Zhao shook his head. "Nope, well... kinda. But I won't tell." He laughed and placed his hands on his hips after scratching the back of his head. "Were you looking for my brother? If so... now isn't the best time. I kinda made him angry." For years Zhao had been stealing his brother's meatbuns and one would think he would eventually learn. That wasn't the case. Both brothers were beyond learning to change their ways.

Looking at the expression in Zhao's face made Chao chuckle. He knew that Zhao was probably at fault for that, his face said it all. Crossing his arms, the blond gave a pondering look. "Hmm, that's fine really. To be honest, I wasn't looking for anyone." He offered Zhao a shrug as he smelled the delicious scent of pork delicately wafting from the taller man.
"So, pork meatbuns huh? I wonder, if I can lure Shi out if I provide some of my own to him." he laughed.

Zhao blinked, "Huh? How'd you guess? Shi loves Charsiu bau and Ba Pau. He has for as long as I can remember. Do you know where we can get some?!" The brunette couldn't help but look hopeful, his eyes lightening up. If it meant stopping his brother's rampage long enough to be able to retreat to the safety of his room it was worth a shot. The more time Zhao spent with Chao he realized the other wasn't so bad. It was a shame they were normally on opposing sides.

He couldn't help but laugh more and roughly patted Zhao's arm, shaking his head. Chao was known to get a loud and rough among both acquaintances and enemies. "Zhao, I could smell the Charsui bau all over you!" he said and soon crosses his arms to think of his next question.
"The man that I know can make these meatbuns isn't here now. Or at least, I haven't seen him, he's probably hidden off somewhere as far as I know. Although, we can attempt to make these things if you're willing to cooperate with me." Chao had seen how Lord Zhuge Liang made these special type of buns and figured they weren't too hard to make.

"...Is it that bad?", Zhao stared and soon checked his breath. He didn't think he smelled too much like Charsui bau but then again maybe he was just immune to the smell. He offered a small smile then began laughing himself at his foolishness.
"Zhuge Liang made them?! No way... I'm surprised Father let's Shi eat something made by the hands of that man." Baffling wasn't the word to use in this situation. There was no words to describe what was going on in Zhao's head. To think that his father's greatest enemy had made something his brother loved and considered a treasure. It was truly beyond words.
"Huh... well if you're sure. But wouldn't it just be easier to go find some and buy them?" His lazy nature never missed a chance to shine through. Ever.

"Yeah, it is" Chao remarked and pretended to wave away the offending smell off of Zhao, but ended up chuckling. "It's not too bad, though. I'm sure with a change of clothes it'll be fine." he shrugged and saw that Zhao was working out something in his head. Zhao seemed like the type of person to get easily confused, but Chao knows he has a good head on him. Therefore, this baffled expression was rather new.
"Yeah, Lord Zhuge Liang made them since they'd be easier to carry around for troops." he said.
Chao couldn't remember if he had seen the fan-donning strategist any time soon, nor any one else he knew that could make those buns for sale.
"We can buy them if there is anyone you know that makes them." Chao said simply and shrugged. "Or we can search for the strategist himself. Maybe if you just ask your father if he's seen Lord Zhuge Liang? I have a feeling you father has a sixth sense dedicated to just him..." Chao laughed slightly, a bit scared since it might as well be true.

Zhao frowned a bit. Maybe he should go change his clothes. He rarely cared about anything but if he smelled that wasn't good. A chuckle escaped his lips and he thought for a moment longer. "Uhm... Well I did manage to find a place with a guy called Yukimura the last time this happened..." His voice trailed off. "But uh uhm... let's go ask my father!"
In all honesty, it was a looonnng walk from where they were to that shop. Zhao wasn't in the mood to go for the trek. Instead he turned around and lead Chao off to the last place he saw his father brooding over some strategies and at times peering into a herbal book or two.
Now... the would be easy if---
"OW!", Zhao stumbled back and held his head. He looks down and saw the rock he was pelted with. "What on Earth--- OUCH!" Again, he was pelted.
Sima Shi stood before them with a few more rocks in his hands. His expression was not kind nor welcoming. Instead he had the intention written all over his face. He meant to harm them and not let them pass. Without much warning Shi directed his attention to Chao whom, just like poor Zhao, would be pelted with rocks too. "Turn back and retreat. Neither of you are welcome here!"

"Very well, I hope your father- Zhao...!" Chao was about to rush to the aid of his comrade when he too was pelted with rocks, careful of shielding his face from the attack.
"Augh..!" He groaned as one particular rock landed on his head. Shaking off the pain, he looked up and noted their attacker -- Sima Shi.
"Sima Shi...! I request a truce of sorts. The lines between Shu and Wei are blurred, we do not need to be enemies any longer! At least, let's establish an accessible route for trade and exchange, if you don't have a penchant for peace..." Chao offered to the handsome and scorning general. While Chao knew he had no real power as an ambassador of sorts, he wanted to at least give the thought a shot. He can't exactly woo Sima Shi if their every encounter will be violent.

Zhao rubbed his arm where the majority of the rocks hit. He was not looking forward to whatever else his brother would throw his way. Between speaking with the enemy and now all the meatbuns stolen, his punishment would be severe later. The younger prince of Jin shuddered at the thought. His brother could be down right terrifying if he wanted to be. That pretty face of his was all an act.
"Huh..." Zhao spoke offhandedly. Just like his father.
Shi on the other hand was already readying a rock to throw at them but paused when Chao spoke. "Oh? You wish a truce?" He lowered the rock but still stayed at the ready. "Why doesn't it surprise me? That is just like Shu. The moment you lose any advantages you coward in fear and seek aid from the very oppression you face." His words were carefully placed, the venom laced deep in each word.
Zhao listened to his brother and sighed, his hand coming up to scratch the back of his head. "Haah... Brother, perhaps we should hear them out? I'm tired of all the fighting."
