Its my first year in marching band and Im worried I'm gonna fall while we march during contests. Is this normal and any advice?

It's not unusual to trip or fall, but it won't happen too much as long as you stick to your fundamentals (Especially 70/30, high toes)

1.) Stick to your bands specific marching style (If they have one) 2.) Trust that the people behind you will be watching you so that you do not run into them (psst, you should watch the person in front of you if you are both moving backwards) 3.) Tie your shoes (yes I've seen someone trip because of this) 4.) make sure you pants/uniform is not sagging (yes it happens) 5.) Just trust yourself, most people will never trip I've only seen it twice in 3 years.

This is my first year to. My band teacher aways tells us to look to ur right in out of our the corner of our eyes...of course all we do is march in parades and we dont do shows...so i dont know how helpfull that is in a show sweatdrop
