Ivy stared at the setting, grumbling and fidgeting as the light slowly vanished. What was this pack supposed to do? Without a leader the pack was slowly drifting apart. Tensions were rising and fighting went on all the time in an attempt to win the title of alpha like the barbaric wolf packs. The older wolves, the one's who have been here longest, know that unless they find a leader soon, they will be the only ones left.
Ivy turned around and looked at the wolves around him, he could easily pick a leader, they would respect his decision since he was raised by the first leader of this pack and because he is a high ranking wolf. But even though that would be an easy solution, he had a feeling it would never work. Was it because of the prophecy? He snorted quietly to himself. That stupid prophecy could never work, in all his life Ivy had never once seen a wold with golden fur. Or anything gold for that matter.

Okami, Rairai, and Hibari all sat down next to Ivy and watched the sun go under the horizon and the sky start to turn dark. yet another day was passing and the new Alpha was still not found. Okami sat there wishing Midnight had never passed away and caused this search for a new Alpha. Sure anyone could pose as the new Alpha but it wouldn't be the same as a true Alpha ruling over a pack.

"Alright so shall we hunt or try and go through tonight without food?" announced Hibari as he stood.

((Well this is awkward... I typed up a reply yesterday but apparently I did not post lol))

"There's just so much that is happening, I don't know what to do anymore..." He grunted as he laid down and placed his paws over his eyes. "The pack is fighting each other and falling apart... Winter is coming soon and prey will be scarce...." Looking over at Hibari, he nodded and stood up. "Yes, it will be best if we hunt." He said while looking over in the direction he had seen two wolves run off to. "Hopefully it will keep us from FIGHTING!" He shouted loudly into the distance. He looked around and nodded to his pack mates. "Let's get all the hunters and go out but I want two warriors going out with them. Just in case a cougar shows up... Everyone else can stay here."

Ivy looked over at Cloud and shook his head. "Sometimes I doubt that it will...." He grumbled softly. Even though he was pretty pessimistic sometimes, he couldn't be happier that Cloud was there to keep him going. He often wondered how he would manage without her. He doubt he could.
"Yes alright, I'll lead the Hunters, Cloud you can flank us and keep an eye out." He said scanning the area briefly. They still needed another Warrior to go with them though...

Ivy nodded. He heaved a sigh before forcing himself forward. "Well we best be going then, the prey isn't going to wait for us now is it?" He asked as he stared back at his dwindling pack members. Looking up at the sky, he wondered if things really were going to get better. Sometimes it seemed like life supposed to get ten times worse before it even got once percent better.
He looked over at Shadow and smiled. "Yes that would be great since it seems like we have some lazy paws standing back over here."

Ivy stuck his bottom jaw out in a pout. "I don't want to be like Midnight, she got kinda crazy there towards the end." He chuckled. "Anyways, that's not important. What is important is feeding the pack. We can't let our pups go hungry because we don't have an Alpha now can we?" He trotted to a nearby tree and sat down. Sniffing the floor in front of him, he smiled, then looked up. "Well I'm ready when you're all ready."

Shadow nodded, standing also and going to one said. "I think we are all ready. Let us be on our way?" She suggested, a wolffish smile on her face. Shadow looked toward Okami. "Be a little more excited." She snorted.

Cloud stood, spreading her white wings before shaking the dirt from her fur before re-closing them. The small wolf trotted to the back of the pack of hunters, her ears perked and ready.
