There’s a new firmware upgrade available for the 3DS. It’s nothing major though, simply making the system more stable, while also adding more character options when setting a password in the eShop (the password you create while storing credit card information). There’s also talk of a few flash carts being blocked. That’s not something Nintendo has specifically confirmed though.

here.I also think it changed one more thing: When you look at retail games on the eShop, it used to say "Not available in the eShop." I think it's been changed to "Available at your local retailer."
