User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The room was silent, save for the even flow of the waterfall, and the slow swinging from the seat he had chosen to sit in.

Eventually, Xun Jiang had noticed the need for furniture, through like the rest of the room, his choice of seating was not exactly traditional. Many basket-like shapes hung from the seemingly ancient trees from ropes, framed by all sort of creeping plants, loaded with sweet-smelling purple flowers.

The Dragon King was trying to meditate, but so far had not achieved much of anything beside relaxation. He did not seem to be able to empty his mind, clear the bustle of his thoughts out. It did not help that something had come to mind, in fact...

Even through neither of them were actually here all that often... Well, sharing rooms with Glyph would make quite a few things easier.

At least he thought so... But maybe it was just the heart speaking.

When there was a knock on the door, long ears angled toward it. Yes, it seemed like meditating was not going to happen right now, through Lindita was already going for the door, so he saw no need to get up and tend to it himself.

User Image He had something to ask Xun, something important and something he wanted to see the reaction to personally. Ankou's request was a serious one and required nothing less then his determined effort to see the question through.

Thus, he stood at Xun's door, grinning impishly with a potted plant he'd bartered for in the marketplace. It something he'd recognized from Teldrassil and while he had no idea how it had gotten there, he was most keen on purchasing it. And the merchant had known it. Still, the payment had been a trade of sorts and Glyph hadn't minded providing a few resources to the woman.

"Xun? Are you there?" He called through the door.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Xun Jiang had recognized his lover's voice before Lindita got to the door to open it, and he grinned to himself. "No." He called out loud enough to carry, clearly in good spirits and happy to see him.

The plant he recognized quickly enough, and bright blue eyes went wide - and the dragon king was out of his seat and on his feet in a flash. "Where did you find this ?" As far as he knew, this plant did not grow here...

Yes, from closer inspection, he was now certain that this was a mageroyal bloom. In good condition, too. "These do not tend to do well in pots... Did you go find this for me ?" He could not help it - cheeks flushed a deeper purple at the thought.

User Image "Then I clearly have the wrong door!" He answered in kind, merriment dancing in his eyes. "A vendor in the market had it... I don't know how it got there. But it's for you!" Forest grinned, utterly pleased with the other's reaction and leaned in to steal a quick kiss, "You're handsome when you blush. What're you up to? I'm not intruding am I? I have a very important task to perform."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. The compliment, of course, only seemed to make him blush more. Drat. One finger ran softly on the soft. pink petals. "This is mageroyal... It is most often used as an ingredient as alchemy, since it is rather had to substain one in a pot or in a garden." The plant would certainly thrive here, however. Everything he had planted here had so far held on, no matter how illogical it would be for them to thrive in a closed space.

The trees were actually the best examples. That little plant would be right at home, through... Maybe this had been one of Whisteria's plant, that she ended up bartering away ? He could not see Elik having taken mageroyal here, of all things.

"I was just relaxing, so if anything, you are cutting my laziness short." The dragon's tone was light and amused. "Oh ?" A task ? Hopefully that did not involve yet more deserts...
PostPosted: Wed Jun 27, 2012 8:47 pm

User Image "Mageroyal? I remember seeing it in Teldrassil, growing wild." He chuckled at the other's quip and rolled his shoulders, giving a bit of a shrug, "Indeed. It seems our dear friend Ankou has been most naughty. He's spawned. Three lovely godlings! Can you imagine?"

Forest stepped in further and flopped down in the grass, sinking his toes into the soil as he gazed up at the other, "But that's not all... he asked if we would be Godfathers. I confess, I don't quite know what that means, exactly, but he wanted guardians and guidance for his younglings as they grew." He tilted his head to the side, "What do you think? Yes or no? Either way, I intend to spoil the darlings rotten."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Yes... It is actually somewhat rare on Teldrassil itself, through these seemed to be more growing there than there used to be when we visited." It was usually easier to find it in Darkshore... but perhaps when the worlds had started to recover, Creation's influence had spread differently.

...Wait.

What ?

Ti Lung gave his lover a rather skeptic look. That was surely a joke. Glyph trying to pull his leg. Right ? Ankou and children had not been anything he had even remotely thought in the same sentence.

...Glyph looked completely serious. Uh. "...Is it breeding season or something ?"

Dang.
PostPosted: Thu Jun 28, 2012 12:32 pm

User Image Glyph laughed at the other's expression and nodded, "Apparently. I'm not going to complain, however. I love children and they're rather taken with me. I took them for a walk in the woods - that was most well received." Forest was perfectly smug about having so impressed the little ones.

"So shall I inform Ankou that we accept the position of Godfather?" He crossed one leg over the other knee and bobbed a foot, expression full of mischief. "Strange, isn't it? Ankou and parenthood. Cosine, yes... but Spirit Guide? He must be quite naughty behind closed doors." Glyph chuckled and looked to the ceiling, amused by the entire thing.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.It was not hard to see how Glyph could be well-received by young children indeed. Friendly attitude paired with a very good chance of candy being involved ? The thought made him smile. "Certainly. A godfather is... Well, it depends if it is the same for the humans of Azeroth than for the humans here... But it involves helping take care of the child, yes. Kind of like uncles, but different." His own understanding of it was a little vague, really, but he figured that was the context in which it made sense. It had most likely been Cosine's idea, he felt - Ankou had seemed rather distant from human needs, like sleep and eating. But then... perhaps Underworld's absence had something to do with it. From his understanding, Nergal would have been the one to end up with such a role...

But then he had never expected the Spirit Guide to end up being a father, either, so who knew for sure ? The important part was that he had asked, and that they would accept.

"I never expected it either, I admit. But he is so secretive... There is probably a lot of him I do not know." They had only met while on this trip, really. They had grown to get along - he found the Spirit Guide's calm nature soothing - but he often did not quite understand what Ankou was doing. He figured it likely worked the other way around, as well - with them being near polar opposite, as far as influences were concerned. "How many are there ? What are their influences ?" This was the first that Xun Jiang heard of little gods, truly new lives, and it was evident that he was very curious about them - and very delighted, fact betrayed by the excited wagging of his tail as he headed back toward the lake and the set of swings.

He sat once more into the large seat he had been sitting at prior to his lover's arrival, legs folding in a way that was rather feminine - but the body's shape certainly did not help that comparison. The mageroyal was carefully set down next to the tree while it's new owner decided where to plant it, and the Dragon King let out a chuckle. "You know, this was probably Whisteria's... She probably bartered it for something as an alchemical ingredient and the merchant decided to keep it as a pretty plant." He pondered a moment - should he tell ? Well. He figured Glyph would know sooner than later. "Whisteria is expecting, as well... Ence the breeding season comment. Looks like I will be quite busy."

User Image "The Aurion had no Godfathers, or anything similar, in their culture..." Glyph murmured thoughtfully, "Just contracted guardianship should the parental units fail in some way... Not precisely the 'guidance' Ankou spoke of." Absently, he rubbed his forehead where the residual bump of Malh'reth was and sighed. He rather liked the nob now that he thought about it.

Again, Forest nodded, "Indeed. I know him better then you do but I suspect I know only to facets he chooses to display. He and Underworld alike. Do you suppose it has to do with being death deities? Maybe it's their 'thing'." He chuckled and shrugged, "Oh? There's three, like I said. Crows, Augury, and Funeral. Fresh, new faces... still learning the words and names for things. Caelia - that's Augury - is extremely inquisitive. Kyrie has a lovely way of speaking and is feathered. Isidore is much more quiet, more observant." It was obvious he was fond of all of them even after just one encounter.

"Maybe I should have said I got it myself..." Glyph laughed, rolling over onto his stomach to take in the sight of his lover, "Bartered goods sounds less romantic. She's....? Really? By whom? I wasn't aware she had a lover!" Gossip, it seemed, was the deal of the day and he grinned, bobbing his head from one to the other, "I wouldn't mind children of our own either, to be honest. Little saplings and dragonlings running amok... You think the Pantheon could handle it?" He winked, chuckling.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."Oh..." That seemed... very strange. Not exactly something he could directly relate to. "The night elves have a similar custom... To name someone who is to take care of the child should something happen to their parents, since it was rare for a couple to have one than one child." More than one child usually meant twins... Cases like Ilthilior and Whisteria - older and younger - were indeed very rare. "Usually such a task would fall on the grandparents... or a close friend."

But it was very likely that the lost of the night elves' immortality would change that. It was still to early to tell, but Xun Jiang figured multiple births would become much more common.

"Maybe..." He let out an amused chuckle, swaying a bit to get the swings gently rocking back and forth. This was no great throne, really, but he would feel a little silly sitting in one. "Maybe he is just very private ?" He saw no use in such a thing, but...

Well. They were indeed rather different.

"Three, hm ? That could be quite an handful." Extra help made all the more sense. Heavens knew running after one child was time-consuming, but three ? "I will have to go and meet them soon..." They sounded very bright, and each of them different.

"It isn't the how that is important, but the why." He winked at his lover. The next question, however, was a little more delicate. "Aska. The man she left the party with." That was not the problem, through. "He... is an host, which makes the whole thing rather complicated." None of them even knew if Aska would live long enough to see his own child...

The matter of children did catch him by surprise - not so much that the matter was brought up, but that he was brought up right now. He certainly had not planned on any more children after Elik... The idea of being pregnant again had turned Illisia off the idea of more children completely.

But well... this was a completely different matter, with no being near useless for months to come along with it. "Im am not quite certain it could." He said, grin impish. "But I figure they will have to learn how to deal with it, because that is quite a lovely idea... Through that brings me to the idea I had..."

He paused, just long enough to tease his lover and get his curiosity going. "I figured I could move in with you ? This..." He looked around at the large span of greenery around him. "Seems too empty when you are not here with me."
PostPosted: Fri Jun 29, 2012 8:23 pm

User Image"Ah... well, I think the gist of it is to offer a shoulder or an ear when needed, to steal them and wind them up with sugar and activities and send them home for the parents to handle." Glyph chuckled, winking. "Ankou could be private but I think that's only half the story. You should meet them! They're delightful!"

He blinked at the name of the father and tilted his head, "Ooh? Interesting... I can certainly relate." It truly seemed that people would be involved regardless of the trouble involved. Had Love had a hand in it? "He can only be there as much as he can... it's not impossible but it's not exactly easy either." Glyph sighed. He'd been on both sides of that equation - first with Mal and Phae then he and Illisia. A tangled situation, certainly.

Glyph rose then, laughing as the other spoke of the world just having to deal with children. It pleased him that the idea appealed to Lifewater. Padding over, he slowed the swing to the point where he could wrap his arms around his lover and kissed his head. "Oh...? Idea....?" His curiosity was indeed piqued and when Xun finally decided to speak he, grinned and planted another kiss. "Move in? I'd love that! You think we could merge our rooms? There'd need to be space for expansion and for our entourage alike..."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."That sounds like a plan..." Oh, the Dragon King's grin was quite telling on the subject - he planned to do some extensive testing of that particular scenario.

"To be fair I am uncertain if she knew when... Well. It happened." He certainly had not asked. "But I can tell that she cares deeply for him..." Figures. She would finally find someone... and well. "I know she will pull through... But it will not be easy." And he would be there for her. That much was evident.

For all that he'd been involved in a similar tangle, he had no idea how to deal with the true loss of the other.

Well, it looked like swinging was now out of the question... through cuddles was certainly superior, so he certainly could not complain. "Merge ? I have no idea if that would work..." But it would be handy, really. Many knew how to find him by the designs on his door, and to lose that... Well. Could be a little bothersome. "We could try it ? Did you have anything specific in mind ?"

Greenery and water would be all over the place, of course.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 05, 2012 1:50 pm

User Image Glyph nodded, "Tell Whisteria I am here as well, if she needs the support." Forest laughed, "Yes, merge. I think if I moved my door, I'd have an uprising from my Aoide as well as those trying to find me. I'm hard enough to locate as is. Specifics.... space. An open area, maybe a balcony like the Night Elves employed. A kitchen and a bathing room... I rather enjoy my observational area as well. Did you have a preference? The pillars could be Everwood, as they are now."

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show."I will let her know." He nodded. Whisteria might very well need it.

"They certainly have enough to deal as it is, with you stealing all the sweets on your out." Xun Jiang teased his lover gently, unable to keep a giggle from escaping.

"I like these swings." He gave a little tug on the looped vines for emphasis. These certainly were better than chairs, took up less space, and he had been known to curl up inside the wider ones for a nap in occasions. "And the waterfall." Really, this was not an especially hard guess. The waterfall and the lake had to stay, and that much was definitive.

"I like the balcony." He did not have one, and while he could shift and perch on the roof, it was not the same, not really.
