 It was spring the time of the singing of birds had come upon the land and it was indeed a glorious day for a walk. Thesh-ah looked about this way and that for landmarks. Thanks to Brakckenhide and his teaching her to stop and smell the flowers so to speak she found that she did not find herself lost nearly as often or at least not nearly as bad most of them time. anything was an improvement from the way she used to be. "so far so good." she said to herself spying a familiar rock formation. She had been walking for an hour or two and she was now about halfway to Lissa's new heards territory. Lissa had come so far and done so much it seemed like every time Thesh-ah paid her a visit she had done something else that was in some way more amazing than the last thing she had done. In a lot of ways she felt that lissa was everything thesh-ah could have been and what more she felt that lissa was the daughter she never had . . .and at the rate that she was aging never would have. Flicking her ears forward suddenly she heard the distinct sound of hoof beats. Repetitive hoofbeats not like running but more like that of a decided and practiced movement. "odd . . " she said to herself as everyone that she knew in this area would surely be somewhere else at this time of day or year. unfortunately Rodrick was off eating so she couldn't just send him to go take a look so she moved toward the sound in curiosity.

Alexi stood still in the clearing for a moment. Eyes closed, he took deep and steady breaths as he envisioned foes moving towards him. Jumping to the left, he dodged a blow from an enemy that didn't exist - at least not where he was now. To the right, duck, back. Keep moving, don't stop; don't give them the chance to land a strike. His movements were precise and calculated, as they should be after years of training and practice.
Suddenly he stopped at the sound of someone arriving. "What luck," he grinned. "I was getting bored of fighting imaginary foes." He calmed himself and moved into the starting position; guarded but still threatening. This is how it had been all his life, even as a foal. He was always on the look out; always weary of strangers.
No one would blame him if they knew why; if they knew the truth. If they knew even a small bit of what he'd gone through. Alexi shook his had, banishing memories that threatened to taunt him. He wasn't helpless anymore. He was strong and could protect himself. Digging his hooves into the ground, he strengthened his pose and waited.SummedUp Tag! Sorry for the delay. Stupid flu. x_x;

Thesh-ah stepped into the clearing her bones creaking with age and her back swayed with time. To find a stallion of unicorn blood looking at her with a defensive stance. He seemed so young and eager ready for anything itching to prove his skills. He reminded her of her brother for a moment. Her glowing green eyes held a smile. "Excellent stance." she commented her tone pleasant, ears pricked forward and head held aloft then stepping completely out of the trees but no closer to him. She didn't want to make him feel threatened by any means after all she didn't exactly look trust worthy by any standard. Skull mask, tattered armor, glowing eyes, and scars of plenty.

Alexi watched as the mare stepped from the shadow of the trees abduction into the clearing. He tensed as his eyes took in her appearance. it seemed fate had not been kind to her. for what reason, he did not know and he wasn't sure if he wanted to. As she spoke, he relaxed a little. Her voice was soft and gentle and he no longer felt threatened.
"You're a fighter, I presume?"
Normally he wouldn't make such an assumption; especially when a female was involved. But his stance was perfect and she knew it almost instantly. that want something someone without experience would pick up on with a single glance.
"And an experienced one at that," he noted as he once more.looked over her scars. His gaze held no pity or disgust. Instead his eyes shone with admiration. No unskilled fighter could take wounds like those and live to show the scars.

It wasn't often she encountered another soquili who could read the sighns of experience let alone appreciate them. Whoever had been his trainer had done an exceptional job on both mind and body. She nodded her head politely. "That is a majority of what I do yes." She replied as she looked him over more closely as well. Now she knew a fair amount of soquili in the lands these days but she couldn't place him as anyone she had encountered before. "i apologize if this is rude but I don't believe I have met you before in this area. I am Thesh-ah."

Alexi shifted his weight, relaxing completely - or at least as much as his trained mind would allow him to relax. Shaking his head, he gave a smile. "It's not rude. We've not yet met. I'm new to these parts. Alexi." He gave a slight bow of his head, a sign of greeting.
Straightening up, he raised a brow. "Do you still fight?" An odd question, maybe, to those who didn't understand him. But he was simply curious. He'd met many who had stopped fighting and was always curious as to why, seeing as it was something he would never give up.
