 Long ago, and far away, a beautiful pale queen sat at her window sewing while staring at the snow that fell from above. While adoring the fluffy white flakes that rested on the window sill, she accidentally pricked her finger and three drops of ruby red blood fell onto the white blanket below. She looked out of her window and stared at the beauty.
"How happy I would be if I had a child as white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair as black as the wood of the ebony window frame," she murmured softly.
But to the kingdoms happiness, the queens wish came true. She indeed had a child white as snow, lips red as blood, and hair as black as the wood of the ebony window frame. With a smile on her face, the Queen named her child Snow White.
However, the happiness was short lived. The queen suddenly and mysteriously passed away, two small holes in the side of her neck. The king had to raise his daughter on his own, sadness trying to overcome him. Eventually, he found love in a beautiful woman who seemed to come out of nowhere. He married her instantly, due to his blindness and stupidity. This young lady was a vampire. One night, on the full moon, the queen murdered each and every one of the castles attendants and the king, leaving the poor young princess Snow White to be a human prisoner and a peasant to hide her beauty from the world.
Ruling alone, the queen used her vampiric beauty to take control of her kingdom. She knew there were other vampires out there, but as long as she had mere humans around the palace she knew things would go fine. How?Well, she had a magic mirror that foretold her everything. But the queen didn't care about those things. For each day, she would go to the mirror and ask the same question:
"Mirror Mirror, wise and grand. Who IS the fairest in the land"?
The mirror would reply the same:
"You, my Vampiress, are the fairest of them all".
And so, the queen was contented. Because the mirror was sworn to ALWAYS speak the truth.

Snow White
The Fairest of Them All
Due to the nocturnal schedule she was forced to live by, Snow White walked to the courtyard to begin her nightly work. She had to scrub the steps of the stairs that led to the ballroom, get water from the well and sweep the cobblestones. While she worked, she was very lonely. Her only companions were the bats the hung around the castle, all of which frightened her. But she was able to amuse herself by doing one of the things she did best: singing.
Here voice was of angels, pure as the light.

Dimitri The "young" prince Dimitri stood alone in the courtyard under a massive old oak tree, basking in the freedom of the night. His aversion to the sun was a pain, considering it hampered his ability to feed, but he didn't care much. His main preference for blood were young women, and it was much easier to feed on them and get away with it in the cover of darkness, anyway. Plus, his responsibilities as prince rarely required him to do much, so he had no reason to put on his family's special cloak to protect him from the sun.
His sense of relaxation was increased by the sudden addition of music, sung by a heavenly female voice. The vampire became curious, then followed the trail of the voice using his keen hearing. A few minutes of walking led him to stumble upon a young girl, working. The prince grinned, ready to work his casanova charm on this beautiful, soon to be midnight snack. He clapped for the girl, a seemingly warm smile on his face. "Bravo! That was quite the performance!" He said, already imagining the warm feel of her blood running down his throat.

Snow White
The Fairest of Them All With a sudden gasp, Snow White turned around quickly to see who spoke to her. To her surprise, she saw a handsome prince (it was quite obvious by his way of dress and demure) smiling at her. Oddly though, his complexion reminded her of the queen her stepmother. Without a word, she grabbed the folds of her ragged dress and curtsied. "Thank you, your highness". Her voice-much like her singing- was so pure and innocent sounding, almost like the ringing of the bells.

Dimitri Dimitri smiled at the girl, his act already in motion. "Please, my dear. We are alone. You may simply call me Dimitri. Might I know your name as well?" He asked, his tone kind and inviting, but let me tell ya, if this were a movie, I'd be the guy in the theater telling the innocent girl to get the hell out of there, only to be deafened by the fourth wall....and thrown out by a guard soon after. Dimitri was always prepared when it came to women. He always knew what to say and do, after a thousand years of devouring them...in more ways than one. His voice was charismatic, but his words had an unseen venom to them, making him a dangerous one indeed.

The innocent girl stood up straight.
"My name is Snow White," she said with a smile, "I would be a princess but....". She looked up at the highest tower where her stepmother resided.

Dimitri Dimitri smiled. "A beautiful name." He thought out loud. He looked up at the large tower himself along with Snow White and nodded. "I understand. Royalty can be a frustration at times. Sometimes, I'm kept inside at night, and I get anxious." He said. Being a free roamer who loved to scout around for a quick bite, Dimitri disliked it whenever he was made to stay inside at night. He knew it was for safety from hunters, but the vampire was rather certain he could take on one or two. There was this one fellow by the clan name Valkenhayn, however, who had recently become a local legend in the kingdom. No one has ever seen him, and no vampire so far has survived him. Dimitri, being a bit cocky, would welcome such a challenge.

Dimitri Dimitri gave a nod, smiling at the girl. "I appreciate your words, my dear. However, I tend to look at the positives. A silver lining, if you will. My restrictions keep me from going out at night too often, but I was lucky enough to find such nice comapny." He said in a flirtatious tone. The vampire would get his meal soon, but he was much more patient than most of his kind. Some of them usually just jumped their prey like animals. Dimitri meant what he said about silver linings in life. He was a free roamer, but he was cooped up inside a lot. He used his time of freedom to its fullest, doing whatever and WHOEVER he wanted.

The Fairest of Them All Snow Whites pink cheeks went red at his flirtatious complement to her. " Th-thank you, your highness". But then a roaring voice came from the window. " SNOW! Get up here this instant"! Snow White's eyes turned to a fearful yet sad gaze and she looked back at the prince. " Can I...see you again"?

Dimitri Dimitri flashed Snow White a kind smile. "Of course, my dear. I usually show up here at night, so I'm easy to find." The prince told her warmly. "You should get going. I shall see you another time." He urged. If she was punished, he wouldn't be able to feed on her for a while. He needed to get a meal. Sure, he cold just drain a local harlot, but taking the blood of such a pure thing of beauty was much better, in his opinion.

The Fairest of Them All Snow White smiled innocently as she walked to him. "I hope to see you again soon". She stood on her toes and kissed his cheek softly before turning on her heel and running inside, where her evil stepmother the queen was waiting for her.

Dimitri The prince gave a wide grin as the girl's warm lips touched his cold cheek. The vampire already had the pretty young thing in the palm of his hands. All he had to do was wait and meet her here again at some point. Dimitri was more than eager to turn the poor girl, and maybe have a little fun while he was at it, provided nothing unforseen happened. He knew no hunter was brave or foolish enough to break into the castle, but there's a first time for everything, and existing for so long made him very good at expecting the unexpected.
