Arthur swished down the stairway halfway flounce, halfway frustrated trot. She wasn't used to taking the stairs in her skirt yet and though she was trying to adjust to this brave new world, there was something about it that bugged her, tickled her finely honed detective senses.
After all, she certainly hadn't spent all that time reading up on Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, and various other sleuths and authors of detective fiction to not pick up on their craft.
"Something's afoot," she muttered, inspecting the hallway at the bottom of the stairs, "And I intend to find out what it is."
Nevermind that she had no idea how she was supposed to do this-- with all the greatest sleuths, the mystery came to them through a series of clues. Arthur figured if she waited long enough, something was bound to fall into her lap.

Violet had only recently gotten back from town where Black Jack had shown him how to obtain clothes with no money. While he was glad for this he had to admit these pants were a little tight on his ..um..bottom. But these were the type of jeans he remembered seeing Arthur in and Arthur was a boy, a boy that had a nice checkered shirt just like his new one! Only, Violet had chosen a black and grey checkered shirt to go along with his dark denim skinny jeans, underneath that was a nice clean white short sleeve shirt. These new sneakers felt a little weird to but Violet had to admit he kind of like the way they made a strange squeak against the hall floor.
Given his watch was still on, Violet looked...just like a normal boy, hair still green however but instead of looking spiky and like it was actually waving the watches hologram had it short and neatly presented on his head in a stylish cut.
"Hmm.." Violet was slowing making his way down the hall towards the libarary since one of his first thoughts when getting back was to check up on Ava and Arthur. Then try to figure out where that loud boom came from, maybe that after a nap since he still wasn't to convinced this wasn't some strange human illness.
"And I intend to find out what it is."
He had just passed the stairs when he heard a voice coming from their direction. Pausing Violet tilted his head towards said stairs and blinked softly at the female standing there. She..looked strangely familiar but he was certain he had never seen her before. Odd. Then again this whole planet was odd. Smiling a little towards the girl he turned back to look at the library sign just a few feet ahead. Finding out what something was, maybe he should talk to this girl first and then go see if Arthur was in the library? Just in case she needed some kind of help like Black Jack had needed when Violet first met her.
Giving in with a soft sigh and bite to the inside of his cheek Violet turned to look back at the girl, calling out to her in a slightly deep voice, "...Hello..are you alright? "
