.: Kavanna :.

The day was warm on the continent of Soudul. Walking along the dark grassy planes of Soudul was something that was weird to her. The feeling she had from passing the dark trees was one of anxiety. The last time she was on Soudul's sands, she had fought a Ysali dragon and won, the time before that she had fought a crazy Oblivionite, one that she wished she never met.

It was time to find the place the people called, Koralifel, a dark lake with unknown powers. Kavanna wanted to feel what these powers were exactly.

It was said in the legends of old that the lake gave a dark mystical power to anyone with a magical aura. Kav didn't know what she would find there, but she hoped it would be something to make her stronger. The healing lakes of Serenia were great, but something about this dark lake intrigued her. Kav wanted to feel the powers that the legends talked about. Were the legends true? Or were they myth? That was the one key that she wanted to find out.

It was hours upon hours of walking, and just being on the continent of Soudul gave Kav an eerie feeling like something bad was going to happen. She pushed the feeling back and kept to her journey. This trip was definitely going to be an interesting one.

Kilian had set out on another journey to battle a dragon. Having failed at his last three hunts and lost to Elleth he was set on proving to himself that he could actually win a battle. There was no quitting for him. It wasn't even an option. It seemed like he walked for what seemed like hours through the forest, searching for any signs of a dragon. He'd had no luck, so far and it seemed like he had wandered deeper into the forest than ever before.

Soon, Kilian had no clue where he was. He took a deep, shuddering breath and looked around, reaching out with his senses, he tried to determine where he might be. No luck, though. It seemed as though he was lost. Nothing to do but to push forward and hope that he found his way back.

Ah, Soudul. It had been some time since Samril had been here, with his last trip being a sparring match between himself and Elleth. He was rather hoping he'd run into her and they could spar again, perhaps even both with weapons this time. His new clawed gloves, having been oiled repeated and worked soft, were tucked into a pocket. If nothing else, he wanted to show them off to his friend.

The Dovaa paused for a moment, frowning. He'd made a wrong turn somewhere. This wasn't familiar or even near where they'd met up the last two times. Well, the only two times they'd met up. But still. Samril wasn't entirely sure where he was, even. He thought briefly about turning around and going back, but decided to push ahead. Why not, after all? He might as well look around some more. Plus, if he got too lost... well, surely he'd find someone to help him out, right? ... RIGHT?

.: Nayal :.

An Oblivionite girl walked through the forests of Soudul mindlessly looking for more dragons to battle. She was determined to find the next dragon to kill. Her determination led her straight to Koralifel, the dark lake of Soudul.

It wasn't too far away that she saw another Oblivionite boy basically standing there looking rather lost on the forest's floor. With a quirked head, she slowly approached the boy. "You there, what are you doing all the way out here away from Obsidian City? Dragon hunting I presume?" Nayal asked curiously. She looked at him and then shot a glance at the surrounding area to be sure she wasn't seen, finished by fixing her gaze back at the boy. The girl stood tall and proud, crossing her arms as she made her way towards the boy.

So lost in his thoughts was Kilian that he didn't hear the other Oblivionite approach him. Jumping a bit, he turned and took a couple of steps back from her advancing form. He may be green at battling and such but he was no fool. Never trust a stranger in the middle of no where. He eyed her warily as she talked to him. "I was...yes. He let out a frustrated breath. Or he would have been if he had actually found a dragon. It really did seem like there were none to be found that day. As she looked around, he did the same. When his attention was brought back to the girl he rose his eyebrow. Why was she so interested in him? "Are you out here for dragon hunting too?" He was curious about the girl and why she would be out here. Was she lost too? Though he'd never admit to being lost.

.: Nayal :.

The Oblivionite girl raised a brow. "Do you not know who I am? I am Nayal Lynn, the only current descendant of Draco Verrano." she said. Nayal just expected everyone to know exactly who she was. Whether they did or not, was something completely different. She felt that she deserved better treatment, but that was never the case. If anything she was looked at in a harsher light, for she was expected to 'take over' the business of caring for the Oblivionites in case anything ever happened to Draco.

Nayal gave a glance around once more, actually taking note of someone she felt the presence of lurking nearby. She wasn't sure if it was a dragon or another Oblvionite, but she kept herself under control anyway. "I actually was out dragon hunting when I ended up here at Koralifel. We should probably head back soon however, we don't want to be caught in a dragon ambush after all." she said. She began hearing the footsteps of something however, and decided to finally speak up. "Show yourself!" she called to the trees, readying herself for a battle if anything were to pursue.

.: Kavanna :.

Kavanna stepped out from behind some trees, feeling the power of Koralifel. "Finally!" she called, then she heard the voice of a girl coming from nearby. An Oblivionite? Oh how she hated the Oblivionites. She couldn't stand them honestly. If this was an Oblivionite, who knew what would happen. Her last encounter with an Oblivionite ended up turning sour right away with her overly righteous attitude. Kavanna couldn't stand the sight of them already.

Kav walked towards the calling voice to find not just one, but two Oblivionites standing together chatting. "Hey, why don't you shut your mouth and stop yelling, damn Oblivionite." she called to the girl, who this time she was starting the fight with. Kav could just tell that this girl thought she was the s**t, and already Kav couldn't stand her. Were all Oblivionites this sanctimonious? Her first thought was probably, for she hadn't seen an Oblivionite yet that she liked. This girl seemed proud just by the way she stood. The other boy didn't seem as self-important as this girl did, but he probably couldn't be trusted either.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.: Nayal :.
Nayal turned to view the Dovaa girl. What was she doing? Was she really telling her, Draco Verrano's heir, to shut up, AND on Oblivionite soil? Draco would never stand for such rude behavior in all of his life. "How dare you speak to me that way! I am Nayal Lynn! The Verrano's last heir! You should really learn respect, Dovaa, or it's going to get you into a lot of trouble! Especially on the land of Soudul. You don't come here and act like you own this land!" she said. Nayal's blood was beginning to boil already. Any more of this ignorant Dovaa's lip and she may have a battle on her hands. For the moment, she kept assessing the situation, and wondered if the boy would speak up in the Oblivionite defense.
Samril heard noises... voices... from a distance. Too far away to hear what was being said or by whom, but if there were people, that meant he wasn't COMPLETELY lost, right? He almost turned and went in the opposite direction, but maybe they were yelling for help. It could be a young Oblivionite... or even a young Dovaa, stuck and dying at the claws of a dragon. He couldn't just walk away from that!
Samril started crashing his way through the forest in the direction of the voices, not bothering to think that maybe his imagination was wrong and this was something else. Nope, he was charging ahead to save the poor young soul from an early (and messy) death.
Kilian scratched the back of his head as he listened to Nayal tell him who she was. He knew who Draco was, of course. What Oblivionite didn't? Her, however? He thought maybe he had heard her name somewhere before but he wasn't sure. "I'm sure I've heard your name somewhere before. I just can't remember." He shrugged slightly. "I've just recently relocated to the city. Before that I'd been living in a small village away from Obsidian City." Kilian winced as he mentioned his ruined village. The pain from it's loss was still rather fresh to him.
Just as he was about to agree with her about heading back to the city, a female Dovaa burst out from behind some trees. Kilian gulped and couldn't take his gaze off of her. He had never thought to see a Dovaa on the Oblivionite island. He shook his head, dislodging the spell she seemed to have cast over him. He wasn't sure what he should do in this situation. As it was, he was scared as hell he'd get caught in the middle of a battle. It was obvious that Nayal and the female Dovaa hated each other. Whether they knew each other or not. Awkwardly, he stood beside Nayal, not really know what to do. His ears twitched and he looked over towards the distant trees. His enhanced sense reaching out, he heard faint footsteps. As he listened, they became stronger, more intense. Kilian was completely unaware of Nayal waiting for him to join her in defending the Oblivionites. "Someone else is coming..."
.: Nayal :.
Nayal clenched a fist at the girl Dovaa's words as yet another Dovaa entered the scene. "What are these Dovaa doing on Oblivionite soil!? You're supposed to stay in your own damn plane, not continuously spread your filth to this one!" the Oblivionite woman yelled at the two Dovaa. She took a few steps back quickly to even herself out with the other Oblivionite. Nayal hissed at the two Dovaa coming on the scene. This was not a place for them. Her grandfather would be extremely displeased with how they disrespected the Verrano name.
.: Kavanna :.
Kavanna rolled her eyes at the Oblivionite girl but before she could rebuttle, she heard someone coming up behind her. She turned to see who it was only to realize that it was a friend of hers. "Samril!?! Is that you!? How have you been!?" her face, lighting up more with each continuous question. Oh how she had missed him. She hadn't seen him since their spar what seemed to be many months prior. The thought of this Oblivionite's loud mouth totally escaped Kavanna's ears as she focused solely on her friend.
Samril broke into the clearing only to be immediately greeted and insulted by two of the people standing there. He didn't see a dragon, just the two Oblivionites and a friend. "Kavanna!!! HI~" He made his way to his friend's side, unaware of the tension that was in the air. "I picked my clan! It's so much fun! How have you been? Busy? I haven't seen you much, though I've been busy too."
Samril glanced around quickly to see if his other friend Elleth was here. Nope, just two other Oblivionites, neither of which he knew. "Hi, I'm Samril," he introduced himself with a smile.
Oh Samril, so innocent and naive...
Kilian was stuck to the ground, his feet unable to move from their current position. Despite the new Dovaa's seeming lack of intelligence when it came realizing it wasn't the best of situations, Kilian knew that this wasn't good. He could feel the energy coming from Nayal and it wasn't pretty. He was startled into animation as Nayal moved back closer to him. He planted his feet, ready to fight or run. Whichever came first and easiest.
There was a slight hesitation in his movements though. He didn't exactly hate the Dovaa. At least not like Nayal seemed to. Sure he didn't like that they were associated with the dragons. Of course, Kilian didn't like dragons, so that was to be expected. But he had never been wronged by a Dovaa. Not personally at least. His stance was weak. Doubts about what he should do coursing through him at that very moment. The last thing he wanted to do was upset Nayal. He also wasn't sure he wanted to fight the Dovaas either. Afterall, they looked so much more powerful than him.
.: Kavanna :.
Kavanna smiled when Samril had told her about his clan choosing. "Yeah, I've been really busy with dragon hunts and everything. I'm really working hard to get stronger. But I'm glad to see you've chosen your clan." she said, her voice a little less excited when she realized that the other two were still there, staring them down.
"Don't introduce yourself to them, Samril. They aren't worth the time. These little pipsqueaks need to learn that they should be hospitable to their guests." Kav scoffed, rolling her eyes when she looked at Nayal and Kilian.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

.: Nayal :.

Nayal growled. Did this Dovaa really want to fight? It wasn't going to be a pleasant one, but she was certainly not going to give up if a fight were to break out. She wasn't sure what to do, this other Oblivionite didn't seem to do anything but stand there. Maybe it was just best if she left, told her grandfather, and had him deal with the Dovaa.

"I should just let my grandfather deal with you two. Hospitality isn't for the Dovaa or the Orderites. You should learn your place, scum." Nayal said. This wasn't looking good. Nayal was almost itching for a fight, but she didn't want to start anything for fear that she would be beat. After all, these Dovaa had both chosen their clans by the looks of it, and she hadn't even obtained her weapon yet. Today was going to be a long day.

"Huh?" Samril turned from introducing himself to the two Oblivionites to his fellow Dovaa. Then his gaze turned back to the two younger Oblivionites. What was going on here? Kavanna was acting so mean and so was this other girl!

"S-scum?" Samril frowned, pouting. He'd just wanted to make friends and now this girl was calling him names. That wasn't nice! He sniffled a bit. "That's not nice, you know. Calling people names hurts them."
PostPosted: Wed Jul 11, 2012 11:28 am

Kilian crossed his arms and listened to Nayal and the Dovaa exchange words. He wasn't sure he liked either one of them. The Dovaa seemed intent on hating anything Oblivionite and Nayal just seemed cold no matter what. He didn't want to fight, that was for sure. And he'd let it be known too. "I'm not looking for a fight." He said a bit weakly at the same time he put a little distance between him and Nayal. After all, she may very well lunge for him at this point and he wanted to be ready to bolt.

He jumped a bit at the other Dovaa's words. He had almost forgotten he had shown up. Was he really worried about being called names? Kilian wasn't sure what he thought about this one. Though he seemed strong Kilian wasn't entirely sure he was bright.

.: Nayal :.

"Hahah! You think I'm trying to be nice to you, Samril, was it? You think I actually care if it hurts you that I called you a name? If that's the case, the Dovaa are a weaker race than I initially thought. Get out of my sight, both of you, before I have you turned to dust by my grandfather's hands." she scoffed angrily. She then turned to view the other Oblivionite scooting away from her. Really? Did he really just defy her wishes to uphold the Oblivionite name? The traitor...he should have been executed on the spot. Yes, a bit harsh in other's eyes, but not in Nayal's. She was ruthless and would definitely hold grudges if people didn't obey what she had commanded.

Nayal clenched her fist tightly before spouting more anger off the top of her head. "Are you really just going to stand there and allow these idiotic Dovaa to come here and put the Oblivionites down? How dare you back down from a fight. A true Oblivionite would never dare do such a disrespectful thing. You're a weapon, and that's all you are. Don't dare think otherwise."

The Oblivionite girl spat on the ground towards Kilian before glaring at him and then everyone else, then turning to leave. "I'll see you later, Oblivionite. Don't expect our next meeting to be too peaceful either. You and I have unfinished business now." she said, flipping her flowing long black hair behind her as she walked along the water's edge. She would definitely be reporting to her grandfather the occurrences of today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.: Kavanna :.
Kavanna watched the scene unfold before her. What a b***h this Oblivionite girl was. She even began to turn on her own kind. Maybe this Oblivionite wasn't as bad as Kav had initially thought. He had already gained some points in her eyes for making the other stupid Oblivionite leave. It was time for her to officially apologize to this other boy, who she initially thought was with this Nayal girl from the beginning. Apparently she had assumed and was wrong.
"I'm really sorry for the things I said about the Oblivionites, though I haven't met one Oblivionite that I like yet. I'm Kavanna. I just thought that you were with the b***h over there and figured I wouldn't give you a chance either. So, I'm sorry. It was good of you to speak up though. I wasn't looking for a fight either, though if she had pushed me much farther, I'm sure it would have turned out to be that way. And I'm sorry to you as well, Samril. I shouldn't have said what I said to you either. Getting under her skin was all I cared about at that point." she said.
She finally gave a chance to the male Oblivionite, hoping he wouldn't take what she had said about the race to heart. Though, she was still skeptical of all Oblivionites, she realized that maybe not all were bad, but who could know for sure. It took time and patience to see.
