Andreios was enjoying a nice leisurely walk through a meadow that was sprinkled with wildflowers. Blossoms of blue, pink, purple and yellow painted the ground, nestled in long flowing green grass. Rei often found it comforting to walk through this particular meadow, it was as peaceful as he wished his soul would be. As of late, the stallion found it difficult to sleep at nights and spent a many in this very same spot under the stars. He shook his head. "Oh sleep, why must you evade me?" He asked to no one, his voice carrying on the wind.

The rainbow music patterned female was prancing through the forest, on her way to a pretty meadow she had seen awhile back while traveling on her way to.. well anywhere with music. She hummed a happy little ditty that was currently stuck in her head as she carelessly strolled through, unaware that with times as they were she should be on the lookout for evil azrein that might hurt her, just because she was there. Her humming turned into a full out song with words after a little bit of the refrain of humming. "I heard that you've... settled down.. that you've found a girl and you're.. married now-ow..." Her voice was pretty, obviously created for music as her melodic tune drifted, as if making its own background music.

Almost like the meadow was speaking back to him, a musical voice drifted on the wind, a song or line, as it was, was carried to his ears perking his interest as he started off at a trot towards where he thought was the origin of the melody. "Hello?" His low-ish voice carried on the wind just as easily as the high pitched one he had heard on the wind.

Melody stopped, her ears perking up at the sound of a small voice. Shocked and scared she may have stepped on whatever was speaking to her, she lifted up her hooves, being careful to inspect each one before setting it back down. "Hello?" She called back unsurely, gazing around, trying to find the source of the voice.

Hearing the voice again, Rei turned towards the forest, walking just inside a little bit, he saw a very intriguing looking mare. "I believe it is your beautiful voice I heard on the wind, Ma'am?" He said valiantly with a dip of his head.

 Melody cocked her head, unsure of what the winged being meant. "How can my voice be in the wind if it's in my mouth?" She asked with an air of bubble-headed-ness. She eyed the male's strange wings and markings. He was pretty, and she wasn't ashamed of saying. Her multi-colored tail flicked as she smiled at the male.

"The words you had spoken drifted on the wind to me." The patient male explained to the multicolored mare. Andreios, seeing her smile, returned it. "So what is a pretty mare like you doing out here all alone?" He wasn't trying to be creepy, but normally mares of her caliber were already mated.

Melody gave a musical chuckle, accepting his explanation, though she didn't understand how the wind could 'carry' anything. Yes he was pretty... Her golden eyes took in all his markings. "Alone?" She looked around. Yes... She supposed she WAS technically alone, though the songs of the earth were always with her, as well as the birds in the sky above her. "I don't think of myself as alone, but I was just wandering and singing." She flipped her mane just a bit, the fringes were getting in her eyes and bugging her. "You're really pretty... I like your feathery things and your pretty swirly-ma-bobs. Whats your name?"

Andreios chuckled, she was an interesting one. "My name is Andreios, might I ask what your name is?" He didn't quite know what to think of her, was she just a little...slow?

Melody grinned. "My name is... uh.." She stopped and looked down at her hooves as her eyes squinted together as she tried to recall what it was that everyone called her. "Oh! It's Melody! That's what everyone calls me!" She stomped her hooves happy that she could remember. She cocked her head to the side. "Andreios.. That's a neat name!" She moved to inspect his wings better, sniffing them slightly and sneezing because the feathers tickled. "Can you fly?"

A soft smile was given in response to the mare forgetting her name. "I can." He answered simply, chuckling when she sneezed. He stretched his wings out so she could get a better look.

Melody shook her head and ducked to look at the underside of his wings. After a moment she backed up, a red blush coating the sides of her white face. "I'm sorry.. I feel as if I am being terribly rude..." She said softly, her deep musical voice dropping with shame. She felt as if she was acting like a child, though it wasn't her intention. She smiled shyly at Andreios before looking up at the sky. "Can... Can I see you fly?" She asked softly.

"It's not a problem, Melody. And yes, if that is what you wish, I can fly for you." The stallion tucked his wings back in and walked the short distance to the meadow. Rei took a deep breath before starting off at a run for a few steps and then snapping his wings out. He felt the thrust as the wind was captured under his wings forcing him upward. Strong even strokes, carefully controlled, let him hover in one place, in front of melody but just above her normal line of vision.

Melody gasped in delight as he led her to the meadow and seemingly jumped into the air. "That's so wonderful, Andreios!" She called out. At that moment a song began to pop into her head and she struggled to suppress it, but only succeeding in humming instead of fully singing it like her body wanted her to.

The flying azrein beamed at the praise as he landed just in time to hear Melody start to hum a song. "What song are you humming?" He asked kindly.
