Not to far in the distance the small cabin lay hidden amongst the trees, the only hint someone lived there was the path leading to it, however there were still traps floating around, however being the one who set them she easily avoided them all with her injured mate in tow, though he seemed to be doing much better now than when they had begun the long trek home.
Katsumi didn't quite realize how happy she was when that cabin came into view, Katsumi had found it hard once they started going to maintain that much slower pace she did want to be home as quick as possible, knowing full well that wasn't going to happen, she had magic to get home but knowingly chose not to use or mention it due to her mates dislike of it.
She grinned "Still hanging in there?" She asked Roy as she continued toward the front door of the house.
Rion, on the other hand was running from his auntie, heading for the front door, he crouched and leaped for the handle grabbing it firmly and the door swung open, Rion's eyes brightened as he saw two kitsu approaching from the road.
"Mommy and Daddy are home!" he cried through the house, letting go of the handle and running out the door. Mommy had found daddy and brought him home. Rion couldn't hide his excitement, as he ran out to meet them.
Vynn laughed as the kit ran outside, they had been just as much trouble as Katsumi, constantly playing tricks and vanishing one way or another, but it still had been fun, to a point. Frustrating the rest of the time, but she still smiled, she had guessed something like that had kept them, "Alright kids outside," she called to all the kits "No hiding this time."

Roy had honestly not thought much of his aches and pains since they had trekked back to the cottage. His eyes had subtly glanced from where they were going to Katsumi constantly the entire time. She was very capable of using magic, yet decided to walk the entire way with him. At first he was puzzled by that. He could not fathom why she would 'stoop' to his abilities and simply walk with a limping Kitsu back. However, as they progressed back to the cottage it became more and more obvious she had done it for him. He had stated that he hated magic, that he thought it to be a cheap trick.
Most he still was slightly too prideful to bring to her attention, and figured she would not want it pointed out (seeing as they seemed to be along the same state of mind). But the thought was quietly appreciated by the thief.
"Still? *tch* Gonna take more than a bruise to make me fall." He grinned to back his claim up. It still was quite sore, but again he wasn't going to make a deal out of it. For the most part it was much better than it had been.
Chizoku came barreling out right after her brother. The two had been inseparable during the absence of their parents. Chizoku looked up to her little brother, admired him as a younger brother. Of the four he seemed to be the one to understand anything and everything. To Chiz, he was the smartest being aside their parents.
Ah, but the admiration could wait. The parental were finally home!
"Daddy! Mummy!" She called behind her brother with glee.

"Good to hear, because here they come," even as she spoke two of the kits came barreling out the front door toward them Vynn standing in the door way. Katsumi stood beside Roy as the youngest was the first to arrive, Katsumi nuzzled her son in return when he approached her, and she grinned back at him.
"Welcome home!" Rion called running as fast as he could toward his mommy and daddy, he grinned up at her "I thought you were getting a herb auntie Vynn said so," he nuzzled her before running over to his father and jumping on him, "This is much better Mommy." he smiled and nuzzled his father holding onto him tightly "We missed you! Don't ever go away again OK," he said looking up at Roy, he was holding back small tears.
Katsumi's grin widened "you bet I found something better than a herb she said rubbing his head, she cast an almost apologetic look to Roy. She could get the herb some other time, this felt far more important.
The little kit knew his sister was behind him and didn't have to look back to check, he fully expected her to follow they were an inseparable pair and not much would change that.
"Families stick together Right Daddy." Rion said looking up at Roy.

Roy could only swallow hard as his son and daughter came barreling through the door and displaying all kinds of affection for their parents. Not to mention hearing that even in a rage she did not make him out to be a monster to his own kids. His fur puffed at the thought as he slowly gave Katsumi an endearing side glance. He mouth the words 'thank you' to her before turning full attention to his near to tears son.
"Uh... yeah, it was... .. yeah... families stick together. A wonder your mother is very good at making sure of that." He laughed nervously before nuzzling his little kits affectionately. Roy couldn't help but feel a little prideful at seeing his kits again. They were stunning, the most beautiful things he had ever see second only to one other. Another thing he may or may not admit to.
Chizoku barreled into Roy's legs and stayed long enough to receive affection before she was off again to receive affection from her mother.
"Mom, we played lots and lots of games... but auntie Vinny doesn't play all of the games very well..." She squeaked happily to her mother. All tails flailed around behind her wildly.

The kits had made it very hard to stay in a rage, it wasn't their fault the two had fought, Katsumi had found herself unable to involve the kits and decided not to, and she didn't regret it. She smiled softly seeing her kits welcome their father back home, she gave a quiet nod back to Roy. ' your welcome' she mouthed softly in return.
Katsumi welcomed the kit as she ran over "No I don't expect she does," she laughed a bit on the thought, no Vynnessia wasn't very good at those types of games "She was never good at the games I played either..." she whispered to Chizoku giving her an affectionate nuzzle, Katsumi gave chiz a wink. "I hope all of you did your best and kept Vynn on her toes." she ginned down at her kits.
Rion looked between this parents glancing back and forth for a minute before determining everything was alright, something was different but he was still too young to be able to tell what, he could just feel something had changed between his two parents and it was a good change. he ended up smiling happily beaming up at both his parents.
His tails wagged happily still to small to hug both of his parents but it wouldn't stop him from trying.

Roy heaved ha heavy sigh before he begun to make his way to the entrance of the cottage. Despite his pride and willing to pretend everything was just fine with his body, his body protested otherwise. The thought of laying on the soft couch was nice. Not that he didn't mind curling up alongside Katsumi while they were trekking home, but perhaps he could get the same while on a more comfortable surface.
With that thought in mind, Roy gently nuzzled Katsumi as he passed by her. His entire frame made contact until he completely passed her by. He couldn't help it. The reactions from his children made the motion all the more worth it. They seemed happier to see them not apart or bickering. That was more to say what Roy had received when he was young.
He had always said he would never be like his parents... Roy was a man of his words.
Chizoku nodded slowly to her mother's words. Of course they played 'those' kinds of games. Hide and thief, magical tag, the works. But it wasn't as fun playing those kinds of games with Auntie. She didn't really seem to understand the concept of thieving.
"Of course we did!" She assured her Mother before watching her father walk by.
Something had changed in the two, and it was nice being able to see both Mother and father in the same place at the same time. None of this sneaking about. Even if that was just a game...
