As far as Fleur knew there was no old man snoring nor did she want to meet them.
She didn't like it when it rained. She actually hated it when it rained. She didn't mind it as much when she was in a den or under a tree hanging out spending her time not in the middle of the rain. However she was in the rain, she was caught in the middle of the rain and it had been raining for a while. The rain caused her to leave foot prints in the saturated ground. She was in the grasslands but not anywhere in the grasslands, the part that appears to have no shelter for ages. She wasn't that sure of how she ended up here or why she couldn't find anywhere to hide out for a while. She was getting really angry at the moment.
She didn't even see any males to trick into letting her join them for the night. Nothing. She felt like it had been all night she was wandering and it was getting closer to the morning, the sun wasn't up but she knew that it was going to be up soon. She paused for a moment and looked up. It appeared there was a tree up in the distance. There was one thing that was good in the grasslands that was that when she found a large tree she knew that it was oging to be big enough to keep the rain off of her. She picked up her pace heading toward the tree as quickly as she could. She wanted the rain to stop but she kenw that it was goign to be enough shelter to keep her dry while she slept. That was going to be really nice. She knew it was going to be and she was excited for that. She was just hoping that no one was going to be tehre to see her when her coat was this damp.
There might not have been an actual old man, but the lion taking shelter in a little hollow underneath the tree's roots was the match for three of them in grumpiness. He had reason to be grumpy, sure--it was raining, after all, and he wasn't entirely sure that the water wouldn't just decide to join him in the shelter he'd stumbled upon. Or into...damn thing had nearly wrenched his leg when he'd stepped in it. In any case, he might have had a reason, but he didn't need one. That was just the way Chungu was. Sour, grouchy, prickly, all of it applied to him. Bad things just made it worse.
