Some time had passed and Samril felt that it was safe to travel to the Malro Desert once more. Perhaps that crazy season was over now and he'd be able to find a Kiandri dragon alone. He had spent his downtime well, practicing more and trying to find a less silly hat to wear. He hadn't succeeded in that, nor had he remembered to look into clawed gloves, but he would do that later. If he remembered.
For now, his attention was upon the desert before him and the hot hot sun overhead. And the hope of finding a Kiandri dragon to beat into dust. Yeah, that was definitely on his mind as well!
As he started his way into the desert, Samril noticed that the groups had disappeared... in fact, he hardly saw any Kiandri. A few were flying high overhead and he did see one small group in the distance of perhaps three or four dragons, but for the most part, he saw lots and lots of sand and rocks. And the occasional small lizard or snake.
But he wasn't going to give up. Samril continued on, looking and searching. He'd find a Kiandri to beat up, grab the soul orb, and brag about to family and friends. Yup, he was going to do just that!
The Dovaa lucked out and nearly stumbled upon a Kiandri sunning itself upon a large rock. As he hadn't been noticed, Samril slowly and quietly backed up, looking around to make sure that this time, there was no other dragon around. He looked left, right, and up as well. No dragons around that he could see!
Grinning, Samril took a quick sip of his water and charged in. He was going to win this, no problem!
The dragon was attacked several times before it even had the chance to fully become aware of its situation. As it hissed and turned its head about to try and figure out what exactly was going on, Samril kept moving, striking here and there with his fists and sending a bolt or two at the dragon as well to keep it confused.
Samril's tactics did not last too long as the dragon spotted the small Dovaa darting about and launched its own attack upon the annoying thing. It slashed and swiped and stomped at Samril, but he didn't let it stop him. Kiandri Dovaa were fast and Kiandri dragons were faster, so it was inevitable that he started taking damage, but he was determined to finish this fight before the dragon could deal too much to him.
Samril's tactics seemed to work as the dragon bellowed again and again in pain and anger as it tried to kill the small thing hurting it. But Samril's lead and fast fighting soon led to a victory for the Dovaa as the dragon gave a last roar and stumbled once before collapsing.
The Dovaa stood, catching his breath, as the dragon turned to bones and dust. The yellow orb caught his eye and he grinned. Now he had two Kiandri orbs to show off!
