History: Mirize was born at a mine-hold beholden to Benden, to a miner and his wife. He was the oldest of four children, and it was only natural that he follow his father into the mines.

He was a decent miner, and he gained journeyman status after turning 18. His specialty was working with jade, and he was sent to a jade mine in Lemos to work.

A few years later, at a gather, he ran into a visiting Wherhandler, one who had been sent to seek out new recruits. What he was talking about interested the miner, and after consulting with the master of the mine he was working at, applied to join. A wher would be of use in the mines, and Mirize felt that he could be of better use as a miner with a wher, than he was without one.

After a fast pace bit of training, and a trial where he and other potential handlers hunted down a large snake in the lower part of Benden, he was permitted an egg from a clutch, which then hatched a green wher.

Description: Mirize stands 5'9, with pale skin, and a lean wiry build. He keeps his black hair cut short, short enough that it spikes up naturally without him having to use any sort of oil in it. His eyes are a dark blue, and almond shaped, and he has a hawk type of nose.

Personality:
If there is a job to be done, be assured that Mirize will be there doing it. He doesn't trust others to get things done, and consequently, does most things alone, as he finds that that is the best way to make sure things get taken care of. He knows that he can do it, even if everything that can go wrong does, as he is willing to adapt to any situation necessary. This does lend itself to him overworking himself, as he refuses to delegate any work to others, and it is not an uncommon sight to find him in the infirmary due to that.

He is not the type of person who goes about telling their every secret to the world. In fact, unless you're a very close friend, it's unlikely that Mirize will confide even the least bit of information to you. However, despite that, he is the soul of courtesy, and enjoys being around others. After all, how are they supposed to know how amazing he is if he never spends time around them.

He is surprisingly vain for someone who works in the mines, and spends alot of effort on keeping his body neat, and his clothes nice. He adores jewelry, and tends to be dressed incredibly well when he is not working.

Personality: Mirisk is calm and easy going, tending not to get excited over anything. She is calm even in the most extreme of circumstances, and there are few things on Pern that could ever get her riled up. No matter what insult or excitement is thrown her way, Mirisk will respond with a serene and even temper.

She does enjoying having fun, though in a more sedate manner than others, and that only comes after the work has been done. No exceptions. She is much like her handler in that respect, but with the two of them working together, they will find that they can accomplish more.

Mirisk would rather be the hero than the princess, and if someone is in trouble, she'll be there to be their knight in shining armor, whether they want her there or not. This can lead to amusing circumstances if the person she's trying to help doesn't actually need to be rescued, because she won't give up until she is sucessful.

She doesn't care what you think, since she knows that she's right, and there's very little in the world that will change her mind. Her handler might have a chance, occassionally, but for the most part, even he is unable to get through to her.
