I was dueling a person playing Rabbit a few days ago when he summoned the Rabbit I activated a Forbidden Chalice that I had facedown to negate his effect before he could activate it. He told me I couldn't do that and I said I was going to google the ruling. After that he quite on me. I tried to find a ruling but I couldn't find one online. Anybody know if you can activate Forbidden Chalice on opponent monsters?

forbidden chalice will negate the effect even if it leaves the field, since it activated on the field. same with effect veiler.

Wind-Up Pickpocket Oucyan forbidden chalice will negate the effect even if it leaves the field, since it activated on the field. same with effect veiler. Cool! So I can use it on opponent monster? yes, since ignition priority is gone, you can chalice or veiler a rescue rabbit before it can activate it's effect. and it can still activate the effect afterwards, but it wont resolve, so the rabbit will be banished as cost and no monsters will be special summoned.

Thank you so much! your welcome. jsut remember, this only applies to monster effects that activate on field. if you chalice or veiler a sangan, it wills till get it's effect, because sangan activates in grave.
