Sasuke is a show car and in his first three shows this year has brought home 2 awards. 1st place Best Custom Camaro & 2nd Place Best In Show. He's also been on an 1/8th mile dragstrip where he brought home 3rd Place. That same track day was my first time ever on a drag strip and together we managed a .0069 reaction time with a run of 9 seconds. Other SS's were capable of 8's but for my first time I felt a 9 second run in a manual while still getting use to launching was pretty damn good. smile Sasuke is a proud member of the Central KY & Music City Camaro Club.

Me and Sasuke's first time on a track. smile Im a member of Camaro5 and my handle is Heaven_is_Inferno_Orange and JeffsWhiteSS is the club member I beat. razz This run was my .0069 Reaction time. It was only my 3rd run of the night, 2nd run in competition.

Vertical doors talk2hand

What you need are a set of ARH headers and X pipe and a tune, my friend. Much better investment.

I already have a carburated vehicle (1985 El Camino, heavily modified by my father as a show car and to run 1/4 mile on the track). One is enough. I prefer my fuel injection.

@Raven- Sasuke is a show car not a track car. He recieves mods for show and nothing else. When he runs the track it's usually for fun or a club event. Right now he is brand new and still under a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty that I dont want to break since my husband paid extra for it. The end goal is to make him a 1000 point show car and pick up a few sponsorships in the process.

Today we drove down to Nashville becuase the Music City Camaro Club was chosen to be apart of an upcoming episode of Cale's Garage. With Sasuke in the body shop getting the color of his ground effects repainted, we drove down with Red Blaze and she got to be apart of the photoshoot as well as the taping. Apparently our club is to be apart of a pilot episode for Speed Channel. biggrin So if anyone happens to see the episode (not sure about air date yet) watch for the Music City Camaro club and look for Red Blaze between two blue camaros. blaugh

Been busy. Will post up pics later. This month had the ground FX on the Camaro repainted to a brand new color. They are now Carbon Flash Metallic and they look stunning. Both the front and rear bow ties have been painted as well in Carbon Flash Metallic and Inferno Orange Metallic and a set of Oracle Dual 15" Scanners have been mounted in the grill. Custom engine cover is almost completed. I just sprayed the Carbon Flash Metallic on it tonight and tmr I'll be spraying the Inferno Orange Metallic. Been working on it in my spare time for months now fabricating panels and everything else so will be glad to see it completed and lit up for the first time. Also have started the arrangements for the interior over haul in september. New custom orange and black leather seats, floormats, and airbrushed dash and door panels will be going in. 4laugh

Sasuke's custom engine cover was finished wednesday and thursday we headed off to Indianapolis for Camaro5fest III. Sasuke drew lots of attention. Team Camaro from GM Headquarters came over and signed both strut towers friday. Friday night John Fitzpatrick came over with his entourage to see my custom engine cover at night and praised my work and then gave me his card and a job offer working for GM. Saturday Al Oppenheiser and Scott Settlemire came over and awarded us with the Team Camaro award Al Oppenheiser's Pick and Sasuke was taken to sit in the winners circle. For those that don't know Al Oppenheiser is the Global Vehicle Chief Engineer of RWD and Performance Cars for GM. He is the reason we have the 5th gen Camaro and someone I highly respect and admire. smile

Sadly I've never been a big fan of seeing these cars being treated as show cars. I take my Trans Am ( plate says Sasuke) to the track and out to car clubs but never to show off, more so to race it. when I finish the H/C/I swap I'll let you know what we are running in the 1/4 mile. Hoping mid 11's nos to high 10's
