Alexandre hadn't seen Painite, or even Gently, since that big meeting two months ago. It was odd to go so long without seeing, or in some way communicating with, her but he'd been busy with the ending of school exams and other things. He could only assume she was busy as well, though last he knew she wasn't working or at least not doing the same thing she had been when he'd first met her.

Finally though things were slowing down, and picking up a bit, and he had time and wanted - no needed to see her.

Looking at his phone he checked the text message he'd sent her again, he'd texted her earlier in the evening telling her he wanted to see her nd giving her a location and time. It seemed the movie theater that Remarque had mentioned to him would be used for a good many things, meetings and training plus meeting Leto and now Painite. Yes, this theater would see a lot of things as time went on.

The old second floor theater he stood in, was without light save for the candles he'd taken the time to purchase. He'd leave the jar candles here for whenever they had meetings as the light would certain be needed, unless he wanted people being treated for broken bones due to tripping on various things. Being who he was the candles were scented, jasmine and yalang yalang, filling the air with a heady scent that was only intensified by two merlot scented candles that he'd tossed in to be different.

Fingers moved through his hair as he paced the dimly lite theater, moving back and forth alone the isle that separated the front row seating from the upper level seating. Checking his phone again he eyed the clock on it, it wasn't yet midnight but it was nearing the witching hour slowly but surely.

General Painite had been making some changes in her life. Gently Ponsonby as well. She had a lot of things to think about, to strive for, and she was willing to work hard for them.

Regardless of the world around her.

Whatever changed, she remained the same, and that was the most important thing to her. As long as she was true to herself, her beliefs, and her goals, then the world could do what it wanted and she would adjust her own little sphere of it to fit her needs. There was never really anything she ever feared, and certainly nothing in existence yet that could slow her down when she set a goal in her head.

She was delighted to get the text message from Alex, as she was determined to do right by herself but that in no way meant she wanted to lose contact with her friends. She loved them endlessly, and needed them in her life just as much as she did her career of choice, and her duties to her night job.

She arrived at the location, not thinking it strange because nothing surprised her any more. She accepted things as they came and had learned a long time ago how important improvisation was. She assumed it had something to do with the negaverse more than it did a social call, and so she had no problems showing up at an old building alone at midnight. She saw him pacing and waved.

"Love what you've done with the place!" She called, noting the candles and enjoying the scent they created.

"I thought you might appreciate the extra effort, rather than just a dark screening room." He spoke as he turned to face her, a smile stretched it's way across gentle features. "Though this place, and my hope for it's future use, was not my choice. That belongs with a dark mirror senshi I'm acquainted with." Honest in his words, he would not take credit which was not his to have. He'd gone with his hair down tonight, even if it was hot against the back of his neck outside. It seemed the theaters was nice and cool, without air conditioning to be had.

"I wish I could say this was a call of a social manner, but it's not." How he wished it was more social than business. Even as he wished this, and simultaneously dashed the wish, he approached the General and embraced her. Drawing back then he glanced around the dimly lit up room, it really did help with seeing and the smell was certainly nice if not a bit heady.

"You were at the meeting the same as I was and like myself and Leto, when I spoke with her, I'm sure you see some dangers in these changes for our newest members and our allies who I found out were unaware of these changes." He spoke slowly, pacing himself and seeming to measure each word before he spoke, deciding upon which words to say and how to word himself.

"In order for an alliance to flourish, and be was useful as possible for both sides, we need to have better communication with our allies and we need to be able to assist them and assure their safety as well as that of our lowest ranked members. It was this which I spoke of with Remarque and together an idea formed between us. We will be using this theater as a meeting place for members of the Negaverse and our allies. Together we will train, to assure members will be able to defend themselves until help can come if they should find themselves in a situation. I would...like your assistance if it is possible. But more so I need a personal lesson from you, a lesson which is of great importance...." Trailing off here he looked over the General.

She nodded her head, smiling. She was eager for this, whatever it was, because it would give her something to do. She liked that. feeling like she was doing something, a least.

She hugged him tightly, as most things were social in her book, even when they were all business.

When he spoke of the changes she shrugged her shoulders.

"I've spent a very long time and made quite a few decisions on behalf of the people I serve with all my heart. The cause I serve with my utmost loyalty and devotion. I will continue to serve in a manner I think befits me, my honor, and my... own purposes." She grinned. She rarely spoke like she was now, usually much more relaxed and calm. She shook it off pretty quickly, though, chuckling.

"I think alliance and communication. I like training. I'll help you both, and everyone else, whatever you need me to do! I want to make sure we remain strong. But what personal training do you need? Looks to me like my little man is all grown up."

She grinned at him, canting her head to the side. She was ready for some fun, but more than that she was ready for some purpose. The more things changed, the more they stayed the same. Even if she had to forge her own path, she would find her way.

Her words they rung in his head reverberating and bouncing about as they played out in his head over and over again. Was she planning something? Was there some big thing she'd had to decide? Something struck him and he wanted to question her about it. "What things have you decided upon and what decisions have you come up with?" Did he even want to know? Yes, his mind quickly supplies the answer to his own unspoken question. He needed to know. That was what he had discovered over the course of the past year, a need for answers to all things he became involved in. He needed to know about this and not simply because she was a fellow agent but she was a friend - family.

"I need to learn to bring someone into the Negaverse, as I was and you were. I know as a General it can be done but how I know not." If she didn't get what he was saying, about his own promotion, as he had been a Captain for that meeting, he showed it moments later as he powered up himself. Every day designer clothing changed into a more elegant uniform and a cape. His long hair remained unbound, as it seemed would be his curse from now on. It was a curse in some ways; getting in ones face while fighting and such as it did.

"Can you show me this while I give you purpose by helping to train those who need it most?" He asked, knowing she would agree and yet still waiting with baited breath for her answer. Things had changed, she had made decisions and he knew not what they were nor what they pertained to. Had she changed from the General he knew and called friend? Would she refuse him this lesson? He doubted it and yet he questioned and waited as he did.

She gave him a very teasing, but devilishly knowing and secretive grin. To top it off she winked at him sweetly, in the way that said she was not going to reveal her magician trade secrets.

Unless it seemed fun to do so.

"You want to learn how to corrupt someone?" She smiled at the question, feeling pride swelling in her chest once more. She nodded her head. Her first lesson had come from Tanzanite. Second, she supposed, following her own corruption. Since then, she had plenty of practice in the art.

It was one of her favorite things to do.

She smiled as he powered up and did so as well, simply compelled to feel his new energy and bask in it. She took his hand and held it for a moment, looking him over and nodding her head approvingly.

"This looks very good on you," she said tenderly. He really was all grown up.

She nodded her head, offering him her hand respectfully.

"It would be my pleasure to help you, General Benitoite." She smiled and seemed very much herself, as she ever was and probably always would be. His friend and ally.

Smiling he watched his friend, and his second teacher, power up as well. It always was a comfort to feel her power and know it was her, for there really was no way to tell who each power signature belonged to at a distance.

"I thought you would approve of this new look. I find it comfortable, though with summer upon us it's rather hot, It's easy to move in." And elegant and the designs had him pleased. He liked how they looked on his coat and his shirt, the colors were appealing and the addition of blue worked very well with the other colors already involved in his uniform. "I think...if their is fate that it must have a good sense of style when it comes to our side." As it certainly lacked where the senshi counted, though that Princess he'd met still reminded him of an angel.

Taking the offered hand he gave a light squeezed. "Thank you, General Painite. I owe a lot of this, this growth, to you. Your teaching has helped to shape me and my path." And he hoped she would remain a guiding force in this war torn world of his. How could he go without such a force and such a friend.

Painite smiled, but didn't believe him for a second. She may have helped him and guided him, but everything he accomplished was his own doing. She knew he would do it, as well. She bowed slightly, just to be cheeky but with some amount of respect and love in the movement.

Then she looked around, taking a wide step from him and laughing.

"So! This is our new station, our place of action and planning. I like it. It very much appeals to me, but I hardly think you chose it because you know I like movies," she grinned, "this Dark Senshi of yours, you're sure they're not trying anything weird? Taking the place we're leaving? Not that someone shouldn't."

She hummed as she wandered around, taking everything in. Everything she saw, everything she didn't see. It was always key, regardless of circumstance, to know everything there was to know. About everything. of course it was impossible, but it never hurt to try.

"And we need to find you a target. Someone to bring in. Or someone to destroy. For your lesson, of course." They could make a new Lieutenant, or they could create a monster. It did not matter to her, either way, really. She grinned at him.

She was going to enjoy this. All of it. It got her energy right up, and her mind turning. She'd needed that.

"No, not that I am aware of. I've spoken with him before, answered questions of his. it seems others of our faction have attacked him by mistake, including a certain ninja of ours. Leto herself feels similar to me on the issue of danger and information lacking the flow it should have." He spoke while casting his eyes around the place and inhaling deeply, the smell really was nice and completely calming.

"If Remarque is trying to take our place he hides this plan of his. No, I don't think so, he was unaware of the new stance we have taken."

A typical theater with a small stage, it seemed, right in front of the screen so they could even use that and then fill in the lower level seats. The theater would fulfill their needs and keep them hidden, it had been abandoned for years and no one seemed prepared to demo it.

"I agree though, someone needs to take our place. I dislike the senshi and the knights equally." And not being able to fight them but having to talk to them, not to say he never spoke with senshi before as he had done that....and a little more, but he didn't want to have to talk to them and convert them. With how so many of them seemed so loyal to their side he found it an idea that would fail in the long run. "I would prefer to bring someone in, rather than create a monster. I doubt the higher ups would appreciate us creating a monster for our side." He really didn't think they'd like that at all, and he wasn't willing to find out if the thought was true, he also didn't want to see what punishment might be dealt if they angered their leaders.

"We'll need a target to bring into the Negaverse."

Painite nodded her head.

"There will be," she said with a smile. The fight would not just end. Not if she had anything to say about it. She was not sure what course she would have to take, but she was preparing regardless.

Every possible outcome. Every piece of information.

Painite wasn't ready to give up all she had been fighting for. How she had been fighting for it. She had developed herself, her style, her beliefs, all around a set of things she had learned from the Negaverse. Things she would never forget. Orders she had not yet fulfilled. Kill them all. The thought remained with her, as strong as ever in her head.

And her own hatred of the Knights only fueled her more.

"Alright then," she said, nodding her head. "So you need to pick someone. I have my own qualifications to look for. Of course, you pick based on what you believe will best aid the Negaverse, but there are so many targets out there. Sometimes it's hard to narrow it down. Do you know what you might look for?"

"First off I want someone loyal and I also want someone intelligent, not just some sheep to be lead about by their nose. So a mind of their own as well. Someone strong, who can handle this - war. I don't want them falling apart completely, I can't seek perfection and a person who will never fall apart in any way. That would be impossible and while a lot of formally impossible things have been proven otherwise to me that is still impossible."

And he didn't work in the impossible. Moving around the theater, slowly, his boots thunking softly on the carpeted floor as he moved around. Turning, he did not spin, as he tilted his head ceilingward. "Do you think those are good things to look for?" Tilting his head as far back as he could, in an attempt to see the other, he had to lower his head at the same time as he turned to see her.

"What else should I look for - What do you look for?" He asked curious now. He was sure she could add to his list and he wanted that, he wanted and felt her opinions was in fact needed and necessary.

Painite listened, nodding her head. She agreed. Loyalty, or the capacity for it, was important. So was intelligence and drive. The ability to grow, to become more than they started at. Being given great powers was easy. Using them properly was another. And growing with them?

That was something only the special could do.

"You can't seek perfection from someone from the get go, no, but you can find someone you think you can guide toward it. Someone who will not stop working toward it."

She smiled.

"I think you know what you're doing, without even doing it yet. But you can never tell from the outside. Inside, of course, you get to play with things a bit. Holding someone's starseed, sharing our Chaos with them, is something you'll pick up as well."

She looked thoughtful.

"I look for similar things," she said with a nod. "That spark. That usefulness. You know, that something special that says there's more than meets the eye. Sometimes I take risks, but I see the soldiers they can become. Their unique skills, how I might use them. And how they might use them for themselves when they become powerful in their own right. I try to find people who will go all the way, and beyond."

"Indeed, someone who will work toward what is impossible to obtain. No one can ever reach it but we can always strive for it and get close before we find ourselves distant from it and rushing for it again. I want someone who will do that, try for it even though they will never get it and won't be brought down by it being torn away when they are close to it." Perfection for each person was different and it changed as people grew and developed. it changed as they gained the things which made up the perfection they strove for. It never remained a single unchanging thing. It could discourage one and he wanted someone who it wouldn't discourage. Someone who would keep working and serving.

"I've held a starseed before, it's...like nothing you can put words to. You can but they will never fully define it." Listening to her speak he found himself nodding along with her words. Her words sounded so much better than his own but he knew his own were worthy and had merit. They both looked for useful people and those would would do well in such a setting as the Negaverse, and a war.

"Do you wish me to track someone on my own or to observe people with me?" He asked smiling at her while he stood still, his weight shifting to one side so a hip jutted out to the side. "And the first meeting here will be Saturday night. I told Remarque to tell his people who are coming to do so as civilians and trickle in so nothing is odd about a single person coming in here. I told him five minutes after midnight, but being late is good, perhaps even a good idea. To keep us from all arriving at the same time and attracting attention."

Painite smiled at him, nodding her head. She had held a number of starseeds. She had corrupted a few Lieutenants now, and had pulled the starseeds from the chests of civilians. From a squire. She grabbed them just to cause pain, just because she could.

It was a power trip, certainly, but why not thrill in it? She was at the apex of her power: she would use it as she saw fit, and for the benefit of her cause. To the defense and strength of her friends and allies. That was why she had gotten this power in the first place, after all.

She felt he had the proper reverence for that kind of power. Some did not notice or understand how truly potent it was. Others took it too far, or the wrong way. But he understood, maybe not exactly like her but close enough that she felt his respect for it.

"I want you to pick out some targets, take some notes, learn about them. Then we'll check them out together, and make the pick," she nodded her head. This was his first, after all. It needed to be special. She made a mental note of the first meeting, and told herself she'd be early. Her theatre training made it impossible for her to be late.

But she understood his point. Take all necessary, and some unnecessary, precautions. Be prepared. She was looking forward to this thing.

A power trip without a doubt but it was one he could avoid being sucked in by. After assisting in the killing of a civilian and killing two senshi he'd had a lot of issues, a lot of nightmares, from it and he wasn't into the idea of killing again. While now he could talk about it and wouldn't hold back if a situation called for it he was unlike his fellow General. He didn't enjoy it or do it for no reason other than his own pleasure. If he ever killed again it would be due to a need for that death, and he would do it without regret and likely without remorse as well.

"Alright. I'll start my hunt between now and Saturday night. Next week at the meeting." The second gathering. "I should have information gathered in a sufficient amount for us to properly review and narrow down the list of potentials." He was looking forward to it, to helping the cause by bringing another into this war. he knew he should feel bad about it but they were fighting for their freedom and that of everyone else. Anyone able, who could handle it mentally and physically, should help in this war after all it was their freedom as well which was being fought for. He knew he'd rather fight for his own and fail than have someone else fighting for his freedom and fail. To blame himself and know he tried rather than blame someone else because he hadn't tried or been involved. It would make it his fault and no one else's. It was why he fought and why he'd joined. It was this which kept him from feeling guilt for wanting to bring someone into this, and thus shatter and rearrange their life, they should fight for their own freedom. But also he knew he wouldn't pick someone who he didn't think could handle it, both mentally and physically, he would not pick someone who could be broken and shattered by this and never be made whole again.

Bringing himself back to focus on the meeting to take place in a few evenings time. "I will see you Saturday evening then?" Smiling as he knew the answer. he was happy about this, about getting his plans underway and getting people to come. They could do this and they would.
