Fireheart hadn't been to the border of her pride in a long time. She had been there a few times as a cub and then had been promptly scolded for doing such. The rouge lands could be dangerous and were no place for a royal cub. Now that she was older and had enough training to join the ranks of the lions that protected the Kizingo'Zaa, she figured she could take another trip to the borders of her mother's pride. Tilting her head a bit, Fireheart glanced around. There really wasn't much to see. Just more trees and open space. It was honestly kind of boring. As a cub she had always imagined wild lions running around and fighting each other constantly and bones everywhere. She had never heard such stories from the rouges that joined their pride, but her imagination had always run away with her when she was younger. Now, of course, she was more grounded in reality and...it was pretty boring. "Well. Not sure what I was expecting but it wasn't this," she muttered to herself, eyes scanning the horizon for anything that might be of interest. Nothing. Oh well. She turned and headed towards a small pool of water just inside the Kizingo'Zaa border, deciding she'd lay there for a bit and see if anything happened.

 Anga stumbled through the thick forest and caught his back leg on a vine, sending him rolling the rest of the way to the clearing. Stupid son of a-! Anga huffed and fluffed out his mane as he quickly jumped back up from the fall. He glanced around to make sure nobody witnessed his glorious entry. A muscle twitched in his jaw from annoyance. Damn forest was suppost to be pretty and luscious. Anga, walking forward, paused to do a mock pose of "luscious," which, in his mind, had him with his paw over his head in a swooning motion. He quickly lashed out his raised paw, communicating his real answer to the forest he just passed through. He padded forward and was surprised to see a field full of beautiful flowers. His inner male pride told him they were stupid, but he couldn't help but get excited. Which...was kind of weird. Whatever, Anga didn't do a lot of soul searching since that would ruin the surprise. He came over to the nearest patch of flowers and simply rolled over them. It was weird... but he had an impulse to get their scent all over his body. He'd smell pretty, which wasn't something a male should do...at least... he didn't think so. Too bad~ his body wanted to roll over the flowers, so he did.

Fireheart lapped up a few sips of water from the little pool before deciding she should move on. There was nothing to see here beyond the jungle and the flowers and the lion in the flowers...maybe she should head down to the beach to see if there were any cubs trying to swi-
Wait. Lion in the flowers?
She turned her gaze back to the field of flowers where an unknown lion was rolling around. She crouched low to assess the situation before charging right in, even though her gut told her to run now and ask questions later. A good warrior didn't let her heart rule her head, though. She had to see if the male presented a danger. She was large for her age, but this was a full-grown male. He was probably almost twice her size and weight. If she was going to attack, it would have to be strategically.
After about three minutes, she lifted her head and snorted. He didn't seem like he was trying to scope out the pride. He just really, really wanted to roll in those flowers. She knew better than to let her guard down, though, and headed towards the dark lion with a slow, cautious gate.
"State your name and your business here," she called out from a safe distance. This was the first time she had come across a rouge on her own, and she didn't want to mess this up. He could just be passing by, or he could be looking to join their pride. She didn't want to scare him off. Unless, of course, he was neither of the above and was a spy from another pride.

Oh, yeah...that's the spot. Anga rubbed his shoulder blades in the flat flowers. He pretty much demolished his little patch of paradise. Oh, well~ they're grow again. A little sigh escaped his lips as he lazily closed his eyes. This was a perfect time to take a nap. The flower's scent seemed to have unraveled his stress from earlier. Yeah, this was a lot better than some stinkin' forest. He'd thought he'd travel around. You know, become more knowledgeable on his explorations. A worldly lion was better than a dumb one. Plus, Anga wasn't dumb, he was just... selective about his information. Yeah, that's it. He smirked at his little speck of brilliance.
Anga's thoughts of peace were interrupted by a squawk from behind him. He tilted his head back to see an up-side down kid yelling at him. Well, this sucked. He was almost asleep. "Beat it, squirt. I need to catch some Zs." He wiggled back into his original position. Hopefully, she'll leave and Anga can get back to thinking about nothing. He'd hate for his moment of happiness to be ruined by a little brat.

Fireheart's ears pricked up in surprise as the lion didn't so much as give her the time of day. Instead he called her squirt - she was not a squirt! She was nearly an adult! - and told her to beat it. That was not how she was used to being addressed. In the pride most lions treated her with respect, and if they didn't they were cubs that didn't know better. And here the was a fully grown lion acting like a cub!
"You are dangerously close to my pride's borders, sir," she said firmly, not backing down. Her tail twitched in agitation and she had to try very hard not to just pounce. Patience. Watch and wait. "I need to know who you are and your intent."
She couldn't believe a grown lion was rolling around in a field of flowers. Was she dreaming right now? Maybe. She had had odd dreams before, due to her brief time having a muse. Now that was gone, though, and she was quite glad for it. It left her mind more clear than it had ever been.

Anga's tail played with a few flowers that were still standing. He flecked the end of his tail across the flower, trying to knock one petal off at a time. It was like he was training to become a martial arts master, one petal at a time. Of course, he was still laying on his back, so only his tail would be the master...the rest of him was still lazy.
Some more screeching started to filter through his iron wall of concentration. He flicked his tail under the pressure, completely flattening the flower because of his lack of martial arts discipline...and this kid. He huffed in annoyance and tilled his head back to address her. "The name's Master," Anga emphasized Master with a deadly, legs up in the air pose, "Anga! And I am here to hone my deadly skills~" He finished his announcement by making a bunch of fighting noises with his mouth. He was still on his back, so he had to resort to noises to show off his deadliness. Hopefully she'll leave now that she knew how much killer instinct he had.

Fireheart narrowed her eyes as the large lion continued to ignore her. He technically was on the pride's land, but she was still waiting to pass judgement. He wasn't a threat for the time being, but that could certainly change. She snorted quietly as he began making odd noises and flailing his legs around. He certainly did act like a cub.
"Well, 'Master' Anga," she said, her voice full of sarcasm as she twitched her tail again in irritation. This guy wasn't taking anything seriously and it was starting to rustle her jimmies. "Your skills need to be honed elsewhere, deadly or otherwise. Unless you plan on meeting with the Queen and becoming part of this pack, you are not welcome here."
He might not be a physical threat, but this Anga guy seemed kind of crazy. A few too many fermented fruits that had gone straight to his head. The pride still had a few 'insane' members...they didn't need any more.

Anga stopped killing his invisible foes. He could tell they have had enough of his awesome strength by how they begged him to let them go. He will comply, for now. Those invisible foes better be lucky he wasn't on his feet. Then they'd get the taste of his teeth! ...wait...or he would taste them? Whatever, he'd still kick some major a**. The squirt mentioned something about a queen and called him Master Anga. All right~ seems she was getting the message. Maybe Anga could see what this pipsqueak had to offer. He rolled over onto his belly and folded his paws in from on of him. He looked rather dapper, considering he laid up straight and his arms where crossed in that "I'm listening and lets make a deal" kind of way. At least, he'd hope it'll come across that way. "Sooooo~ I hear you got a Queen and a pack. Does this pack have a free buffet cuz if so, sign me up!" He was completely a rogue at heart, but wouldn't mind somebody bringing him some food.

Fireheart pressed her ears flat against her head as Anga rolled over to look at her. She narrowed her eyes at the rather flippant reply and bared her teeth in frustration. This lion was really getting on her nerves. "No, there's no free buffet. If that's the attitude you're going to have you are not welcome here. Now get out before I make you!" The threat wasn't completely empty. A simple roar could summon lions Anga's size that could chase him off. If she ended up in a fight with him, though, she doubted she'd come out on top. He was much bigger than her and stronger and, while she might have more willpower, she doubted that would help in this situation. "Beat it, 'Master' Anga," she growled, lowering her head to let him know she meant business. She might be young, but she wasn't about to let some rouge make fun of her Queen - her mother at that! - and her pride.

The tone and ridged body language of Anga's new "friend" had his smile disappearing within seconds. His brows wrinkled in frustration. What was with people? Seriously, all he was doing was rollin' around in some flowers and this kid gotta problem with it? What? Is she like...the flower police or something? Jeeze, can't do nothing anymore. Whatever, with all his fancy talk, Anga wasn't a fighter. Fighting cost too much energy. Yeah, he was more of a, economist when it came to fighting.
His new thought had the smile plastered back on to his face, that is, until he looked back at little miss guard. He fluffed his mane out in defiance and stood up to his full height to address her. "Fine, whatever. No need gettin' your tail tied in a knot. I was just chillin' in the flowers, but I wouldn't want to ruin Miss Sourpuss's precious border. Oh, no." He turned to continue walking along the meadow. Nothing in the world was going to make him walk through that forest again. She would just have to put up with him until there was another clearing away from the stupid border.
He turned back before he could get too far way. "Besides, your border smells like dung. I wouldn't want to cross over it anyways." He swatted his tail to drill home his point, then padded away.

Fireheart held her ground, her claws digging into the dirt beneath her paws as Anga stood. God he was big...but he didn't seem in the mood to fight. She sent a quick prayer of thanks to the gods as he strolled away and, giving an annoyed snarl at his parting comment, turned to head back to her pride. She had had enough of the border for today.
