Melody walked in, closing the door behind her. Her mouth fell open at the sight before her. "Oh, wow...." she whispered. Setting her things aside, she went straight to a window. "Look at this, Flame!" he hummed at her again, pecking at her hand. "Oh, all right. Here." she set out a bowl of water and some fruit. She explored the mini-apartment thoroughly, then chose the room with more windows for Flame's freedom. "The things I do for you." she told the phoenix, moving her stuff out of the way and into her room. She laid out some pictures and started unpacking her clothes while Flame flew in and out of the window. She turned on her mp3 with the portable speakers and started singing, not caring if anyone heard anymore. She was home, for now.
Almost two hours later, she lay on her bed reading. Finally deciding either she wouldn't have a roommate or they weren't showing up anytime soon, she decided to go explore.
