It had been months since Leto had patrolled. Months since she had powered down and walked the Earth as Quinn Bennett for more than a few minutes at a time. Months since the night in the alleyway that she has never quite come back from.
She was sitting on a rooftop over-looking Destiny City tonight; her legs hanging over the edge, swinging them ever-so-slightly as she stared at, well.... Nothing. She had an entirely blank look on her face. The spark that she once had was gone, and she wasn't really sure how to get it back.
So she sat. Alone. It seemed like she did a lot of sitting alone lately.
She felt tingles at the nape of her neck every once in a while, of Chaos and Order alike, each and every one of them passing her by. Leto knew very well that at some point, someone will come for her. Friend or foe, someone would be curious about the Eternal's energy signal. In the mean time, she would sit and wait and stare at nothing.

Lesath hadn’t been out and about as much as she would have liked to for a while, and now that she was back in the patrolling gig, she was eager to cover any ground she might have lost. She was making some rounds, deciding to take the rooftop way instead of her normal mirror flitting, when she felt it. An aura that was both familiar, and very welcoming. It had to be one of her own…and an eternal…maybe it was Remarque? Or someone else who had made it to eternal?
She went to investigate, and blinked when she saw Leto, breaking into a smile a few moments later. The blonde senshi slowed herself to a walk then sat next to her friend looking at the brunette. “Hey…where have you been? I haven’t seen or heard from you in the longest time…I was starting to get worried…”
She had been worried, to tell the honest truth…things had just gotten so busy…she was starting to think that herself, Jett and Kestrel were the only DMC’s left working…though, even Kestrel didn’t seem to be doing much lately.

Leto's fingers gripped the edge of the roof she was sitting on when she felt the Chaotic energy signal approaching her. When Lesath sat down next to her, she released the breath she didn't even realize she was holding, her grip loosening. She didn't turn to look at the other girl, only continued to stare out at the city before them.
"I've been.... Around." She said quietly, which was very unlike her. It was quite obvious that Leto wasn't the loud, brash, confident girl that she had been when she last saw her teammates. At this particular moment, she was a broken version of herself.
"Mirrorspace, mostly." She added.
She felt bad that she was worried, and worse that Lesath likely wasn't the only one. She had up and disappeared on Lydia, her roommate and best friend, and Veer who she was... dating? Maybe? Who knows now.
She finally broke her gaze and turned to finally truly acknowledge Lesath next to her. "How have the rest of you been? I've heard no complaints from Ares, so I assume all is well with everyone in the Court?"
She forced a half-smile at the other girl.

“What were you doing in Mirrorsace all this time, Leto?” Lesath was looking at her friend and mentor with obvious concern. She wasn’t sure it was a good thing to spend all of one’s time in Mirrorspace…it wasn’t a very cool place, and she knew it messed people up sometimes…at least the ones in the mirrors. Or she figured it did. That one girl she had trapped there had seemed messed up.
“The rest of us have been okay, I think. Thule has moved in with me, and Remarque and I are still dating…” She glanced out over the city as well. “I haven’t really seen much of…well, anyone…but Thule and Remarque…so I can’t really speak for any of them, I guess…I hope they’re doing well.”
She fell quiet then looked back to the brunette. “What’s going on, Leto? Did something happen to you? You seem so down in the dumps.”

"I'm glad you've all been well. That's exciting! About Thule, I mean. And it's great that you and Remarque are doing well."
Leto's expression saddened when there was no mention of Lydia or Veer. Had they fallen off the grid as well? She'd have to go home to her apartment and check in on her roommate sometime soon... And maybe brave Veer's disgusting apartment, if she was willing to face him.
She cringed slightly when Lesath asked her what was going on. She knew very well that it wasn't something that she should or could keep a secret. Eventually word will get out that a dead Page was found in an alley in Destiny City with starseed still in-tact.
She scratched the back of her head for a moment before dropping her hands to her lap. Her fingers toyed with each other nervously while she chewed her lip, stewing over how to bring it up.
"Something did happen, yes... Well, not to me. I mean, I'm fine, physically. I didn't get beat up again, which is good since that seems to happen a lot!" She laughed nervously, her speech speeding up as she spoke.
"Y'see I made a promise to Navi after Camelot nearly killed her that I would get revenge. And uh. Well, I've started doing just that. I'm hunting down Knights, Lesath. We can't save them like we can the Senshi, they just get in the way. And they hurt someone I consider family. So I hurt them back. I killed her. I killed a Page and then I went to Mirrorspace and had a breakdown."
She was staring out at the sparkling lights of the city as she spoke.
"I've never done that before. I mean, I've killed. I was in the Blood Moon Court Nega-Torture-Session. I've been in huge battles and I'm sure I've ended lives. But never like that. Never one on one. I didn't really know how to deal with it. I still don't."

Lesath gave a sigh of relief when Leto mentioned that she hadn’t been attacked or beaten up again, though the relief faded from her face and she began to frown heavily. “You…you’ve been going after knights…? Camelot…” She paused, thinking heavily, then her frown deepened. “Nearly killed Navi…? When did this happen? Why didn’t anyone tell me?” Rage was beginning to build inside of her. Camelot…he was that guy that had the shield, right? The one that had had the scuffle with her when she was draining that green haired bimbo…
“And…you killed a page…?” She hesitated, then shrugged. “Well...It’s…it’s all done now, Leto…” Lesath put a hand on the girl’s shoulder and gave it a little squeeze. “Did you go in there meaning to kill her? Or was it…an accident?” The senshi had to admit, she was rather taken aback by her acceptance of the situation. Hadn’t she gone after Bifrost intending to kill her? She saw knights as the enemy too, but, only really had a personal vendetta against that one.
“I’m glad you’re back now though…out of Mirrorspace. I think being back with your DMC family will help more than anything, to be honest.”

Leto shrugged her shoulders slightly at Lesath's question about Camelot. "I dunno... I didn't want to make it a Court-wide issue. I know not every one of you has issues with Knights, and I know a lot of you are much more passive than I am." She offered Lesath a smile.
"No point in dragging everyone into a personal vendetta, right? Either way, it happened a while back. We've had quite a few encounters with him since then. He's got that damn shield and a crystal so he's going to take a lot of work to get rid of. In the mean time, I'll get back at him by taking care of the rest of his useless ******** faction."
She had to take a deep, shaky breath to try and steady her temper; somehow just thinking about Camelot got her blood boiling.
"It wasn't an accident. I absolutely cannot try to reason with myself and see it as an accident. It was one hundred percent intentional and it's just taking some time for me to accept that, I think."
Turning to Lesath, her smile broadened. "You're right. It's good to be back. I almost think staying in mirrorspace made things worse rather than better, y'know. Holed up by myself, with nothing but my thoughts to torture me. Having a social life again is kinda weird though," she added with a laugh.

Lesath smiled brightly at her. “Well, I think you should get used to having a social life. I miss hanging out with you and Navi…honestly, the only one I really ever see anymore is Remarque, and you know. Sometimes he’s annoying as hell…but then again, what boy’s aren’t?”
She gave Leto a hug, then drew away. “You should come talk to us when stuff like that happens…I mean…you might have felt guilty, but sheesh, if she deserved it, then you had to do it. She shouldn’t have come up against you in the first place, right? And you’re right. We can’t save knights, so if we get into a scuffle with them and they don’t survive…well..”
The blonde shrugged. “Then they should have been stronger. At least that’s my thought on the subject.”
Lesath sighed softly and stretched, standing up and holding out a hand to Leto. “Look, at least now, if you do ever disappear again, I know I’m going to look in Mirrorspace. But, call me or something first. That’s why I’m here. That’s why we’re all here. We’re not scattered around…we’re united. We’re a family. And now, you and I are going to go get some ice cream. I’ll make you nice and social again in no time, Leto. Just trust me.”

"Remarque is annoying? No way!" Leto said with a roll of her eyes and a laugh. She sure as s**t didn't see whatever it was that Lesath saw in him.
"Thanks for being so understanding. It's hard to remember friendship and compassion when you're in a war like this. I get a little too caught up in things sometimes, y'know?"
She took Lesath's hand and pushed herself to her feet. "Ice cream sounds pretty ******** amazing, not gonna lie," she grinned. She was so ridiculously lucky to be a part of a group as amazing and tight-knit as the Dark Mirror Court. She never once felt this good about a group of people when she was a White Mooner.
With a deep breath, she shimmered and henshined down to be left as the civilian Quinn- something she didn't do very often. "I figure the ice cream shop won't want terrorists all up in their business," she winked and made her way towards the door on the roof to take them down a hallway and to the elevator to get back to the ground and reality.
"Thanks again, I really needed that."
Time for Quinn to take her life back.
