Finding out who was in the trance was worse than finding a specific pumpkin in a pumpkinpatch. Vaith didn't know who oversaw Skylar or Ava and asking around for something like that wasn't Vaith's style. Although being in a trance and synchronizing with Zeke's feelings .. Vaith almost wanted to find them. But he also really wanted to find Zeke's book in the library. Unfortunately, Vaith's memory wasn't all that good as to how or where it was in this whole library.
Did they dump library books in the years that passed? Had they found it and thrown it away?
Was his search about to become redundant?

After having gone through trance, it was hard to forget everything she had seen. She hadn't even considered what had gone on before she had joined Amityville, and now..she couldn't stop thinking about it. Many familiar faces she had seen then..Red, Byrn, Avery, and many other teachers and ToTers. The trance had only given her one student's point of view at that time, but she had seen enough to know a lot of what was going on at the time. Ava..that was the ghoul who's eyes she had seen through. She was curious as to who everyone else had seen through. Especially those who watched through Skylar's, Vic's, and Zeke's eyes.
Zeke..what had he been stashing in the library? Was it that book he had always been carrying around? Only having caught a glimpse of it when Ava snapped out of her little daze after the cave incident, Mei was curious if it was still there. Hidden somewhere in the library.
So off she had strode to the library. It was kind of empty and dark inside. Only books and dust inside at the time. She knew that somewhere, lurked Avery and Hayden, the librarians. But she didn't see either of them at the time. There was one boil, however, that she did notice.
"Vaith?"

Vaith was distracted, opening books up in his palms to flip through them quickly. He had been so intent on looking through them, he hadn't even noticed Mei behind him. He was startled, to turn around to her cracked features and bright crimson hair.
"Oh! Mei, right? It's been a long time." Vaith would have held his hand up for a wave, if it wasn't already carrying three books at once. Zeke had stashed it behind several books so Vaith needed to check the shelf lining. It was a pretty thin notepad ..
"Did you go with the trance as well? I think half the school did it." Vaith tried to mention, in an offhand manner, but it was no surprise that his tone had dulled a bit. Everything about the horsemen and Amityville was a sensitive topic, it seemed.

Vaith's reaction was quite amusing to the doll. This wasn't the first time she had startled someone, but it never did get old. Pleased to see that he remembered her name, she nodded in response and strode towards a table close by. Dusting it a bit, she wrinkled her nose at just how much dust had gathered, before taking a seat upon in. "It has. I think the last time we chatted a bit, was during that whole hunter issue in the forest." Shrugging, she could be sure.
Just about everyone she knew, save for a few who were unable to join in, had gone through the trance. As much as it was an interesting 'trip' and she herself, or the other students hadn't received any injuries this time around, it was painful to watch what had happened to the students prior to their enrollment.
"Yes." She answered, brushing a strand of hair over one shoulder while she scanned the room for possible locations of Zeke's journal. "Actually, its the reason why I'm here."

Avery was indeed in the library. But what Vaith and Mei didn't know was that the behemoth was closer than they thought. In fact, he was on the opposite side of the shelf, silently re-organizing the misplaced books that students hastily stuffed back onto the shelf. Or at least he was, up until he heard the two conversing on the other side.
He paused, book in hand, about to slide it back into its proper place when he overheard the mention of the trance class.
Now, being the notorious eavesdropper he was, he had heard other students mention it before now; talking about events revolving around that cave and those hunters. Hunters whom he believed to be reapers at the time. How naive he was. But what had brought these two to the library? Surely they weren't looking for the entrance to the cave. The hunters saw to it that no one would be able to enter there again. So why were they here and why was the reaper boil looking through the book shelves?

"Oh. Are you here for the entrance? I doubt we could find it now." Vaith flipped through the books as he spoke, finding none of them to be Zeke's notebook. How useless. But he reminded himself, he better put the books back properly or suffer the wrath of Amityville's guardians of the library.
"Or maybe you're here to see if the event's been recorded in Amityville's history books?" Vaith suggested, the sheer coincidence that Mei was here for the same reason only brushed fleetingly against his mind. He couldn't even imagine that kind of coincidence, considering the dozens of students who took the trance. He couldn't seem to think of how to bring it up either, with there being such a small chance .. But he could bring up the topic of Ava, actually, when Vaith thought about it.
"Actually ..You know people, right? Do you know if anybody knew a student named Ava?" Perhaps, Mei was even friends with someone who had tranced Ava.

Mei shook her head when he asked about the entrance. "No..I'm sure they would have seen to keeping that section sealed off or something. Just so us meddlesome brats won't go snooping around. But its not why I'm here, no." She was curious to know what it was that Zeke was searching for though.
"Um..well..I'm looking for a book. But like the entrance, I'm not sure if it will be here anymore..It looks like the library was moved around since when our trance partners were here." She shrugged, still oblivious to the fact that Avery was ease dropping on their conversation. Her gaze landed on the book shelves again, scanning for all possible places that Zeke's book could be. But with the library being as large as it was, locating the book would prove to be difficult.
Looking to Zeke when he spoke up again, the doll's eye widened a little when he brought up her name. "W-what? Ava? She was the ghoul that I was linked with! Was your trance partner a friend of hers?"

Avery continued to stand silently on the opposite side of the shelf as the two went about their conversation. As he thought, there was mention of the cave and that trance class. But apparantly neither were looking for it. So what were they looking for?
His lips pressed together in a thin line at the mention of the name 'Ava.' The same ghoul who persistantly bothered him day in and day out before--
He stuffed the book back into place and pushed the thought to the back of his mind. He didn't need to think about this right now. That was a long time ago. They were long gone. He had no clue as to what book she spoke of, but given how long it had been since that time, the book was probably long gone as well. Besides he had looked all through this library, more than once. He was sure he would have seen it by now.

"Well, not so much a friend as .." Vaith trailed off, wondering how to phrase it. "Well, even though Ava was pretty fine, as long as you know I only have a thing for a certain white haired ghoul, I guess you could call me Zeke's .. trance partner?" He grinned, pointing to himself.
In all honesty, Vaith thought Zeke was a pretty good, if not perfect, trance partner for Vaith.
"Since you're Ava's partner .. I guess we could safely conclude, we're both looking for our old friend's diary. Dark gold, with a little white hyena mask drawing in the corner .. man, that guy knew how to make his notebooks distinct." Of course, if they were looking for a book, there was no other book for the two of them. specifically..
Besides, there was no need to rehash that again.
"You think this library dumps out their lost pile? It could be in a old .. shelf or something?" Vaith mused out loud, only seeing books in every other color instead.

Mei grinned as he spoke of Mai. She had seen the ghoul around the school before, but had never really had the chance to speak to her. She looked pretty cool in her opinion though. When the name Zeke was mentioned, the doll's brows went up, shocked to find that Vaith was his trance partner. "Your kidding! Wow! That's pretty cool!"
She knew that someone might have been linked to Zeke, but she never would have guessed it to be one of the students she knew. Maybe Madea had purposely linked everyone with friends that were familiar with? Who knew? But things just got a little more interesting. For one, maybe they would have an easier time locating the book together? She could only hope.
"Yes. That is exactly how I had seen it." Shrugging, she had no idea what the librarians did with everything in this library. "I honestly have no idea.."
A small smile appeared on her features, thinking of the visions of Zeke, Ava, Skylar, and even Avery--Avery. "Do you think Avery might know about it? He was there with them, after all."

Avery blinked in recognition of the two names. To think of all the students they could have witnessed the events of, these two had been linked to two old friends of his. Or, sort of friends. He never did know what to call his relationship with the others. Though because of the mention of his name, the book he had been shoving back into place on the shelf was shoved too far. As a result, it ended up forcing another book on the opposite side off the shelf completely, where it dropped--right ontop of Vaith.
"......."
Well that was something he hadn't planned for.

"OWOWOWOW--" A hit to the head was one of the worst bitchiest things one could do, since one usually didn't do it for reasons other than pettiness. Or accidents. But Vaith hadn't realized this was an accident when he suddenly went dashing off to the next aisle, with a accusing finger raised.
"HEY MAI SLASH TYBALT SLASH REN, I KNOW YOU PLANNED THAT---"
(Apparently, Vaith had a lot of friendly enemies.)
He might have been ready to yell a storm, if it wasn't Avery standing there in front of him. Vaith didn't know Avery personally but Zeke did, hence, the conflicting relationship of old slash new meetings. For now, Vaith was going to do this in the Vaith-way, meaning, he didn't know Avery well.
" ...I'm going to say dropping a book on me means you owe me a favor, or at least, an answer to a question."
Dropping books was a painful painful accident, after all.

Mei could only watch as the book fell of the shelf, and fell straight for Vaith's head. She didn't even have time to warn the boil as the book gave a loud THUMP and then fell to the floor. Covering her mouth, it was all she could do to keep from laughing. Glancing about the library, she was curious to know who it was that had stealthily attacked the poor boil.
She had expected one of the three names Vaith mentioned to show, but instead..it was Avery. "Whoa..speak of the devil." The doll blinked, staring up at the behemoth boil, wondering just how long he had been ease dropping on them.
"What do you say, Avery? Care to help us out? We know you were listening just now, so its not like we need to fill you in on what we're talking about. Am I right?"

Avery silently cursed at his clumsiness, but didn't make a move to hide. Why should he? He was the freaking librarian for Jack's sake. He was supposed to be here! Though when the reaper came around the corner, yelling, Avery couldn't help but stand there in mild shock. Though by the time the it wore off, the behemoth was glaring back at the boil with an expression that clearly said--
'You're in the library. Be silent!'
At that second part, however, he didn't know how to respond. Did dropping a book on the kid really mean he owed him? If so, did he even want to, or bother to? Unlikely. It wasn't like he had to answer to a kid simply for the sake of 'You owe me.'
"You weren't exactly making it a secret." He answered the broken doll, before he shoved another book into place onto the shelf. If they really didn't want anyone to know, they shouldn't have come to the library, where the librarian was known to be an eavesdropper.
"Why ask me?"

Vaith's expressions went through various stages.
First. accusing. Second, shocked at the mention of eavesdropping. Third, slightly chastised over his behavior. Fourth, regretting such humble emotions and thinking it wasn't his fault. Fifth, casual because secrets weren't really secrets.
"Who do you think made me yell?" Vaith grumbled, rubbing at his head for a tiny bit of effect. But it really did hurt .. although the pain was subsiding for the moment. He did lower his voice though, taking Avery's rebuke with a silent acknowledgement.
"Why not ask the librarian, who would probably know all the books in here? Who else but the librarian-- Oh wait, I think the janitor knows a few things, doesn't he?"
He realized something late, after his show of sarcasm.
"Oh. So this is Avery. You know, your looks are cooler than the rumors say. It's actually a lot more than I expected but man, do all those muscles come from shoving books into shelves everyday?" Vaith had underestimated the power of books!
