Gunji had conjured up quite a bit of money from his job and bought himself a nice place. The inside has a modern yet renaissance theme to it and it is recently updated. The place becomes a mess pretty quickly because of Gunji but he has maids and butlers to take care of him and the place. The windows are always open for cats to come inside because Gunji is always feeding them. A stray dog comes by every now and then as well and Gunji was feed it as well.
In the house, he has plenty of rooms for his new pet to use but he prefers his pet uses his, which is the master bedroom There's a pool in the back along with a rather large garden. You could get lost in that thing. There's a ball room with a piano and other instruments although Gunji can't dance or play any instruments.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ It was...it was that fast? Asten didn't even get a chance to say anything before she was being clipped to a leash - a leash?! - and had to walk quickly to keep up with her new master's long strides. That was it? Money was handed over and she was...well, not free, not even close. But free of the slavers, which was all she'd dreamed about for four years. It was curious, he hadn't even asked what she was, why she was wearing a velvet collar. She'd understood it meant she was 'exotic', being a shapeshifter, but he didn't seem to care at all.
An odd expression came across her face when he asked about removing the leash. That was...no one had offered Asten the chance for freedom before. And she had a feeling if she did choose to run, she wouldn't get very far. A glance at those claws made her blink. "Um, no, no, I won't...I won't run away. I promise," she said, not even thinking of being 'funny' and flying away instead. She stayed still as his hand came near her neck, still nervous about anyone touching her, or coming close to touching her. Realizing she'd yet to answer his question, being in a bit of a daze, she blinked and nodded.
"If it's all right, please, I've just got what I'm wearing," Asten admitted, gesturing to the red dress and flats she was wearing with a shrug. They'd bought her it and forced her to put it on to be 'pretty' for the new marketplace. Maybe it had worked, after all. It could be her lucky dress, if she could consider being bought like a pet lucky. "And, uh, I'm sorry if I should know this, but what do I call you?" she asked curiously, having to tilt her head to look up at him. Maybe if she was good, he'd let her shift and fly. Not fly away. But just to be in the air again would be marvelous.

Gunji smiled as she agree not to run away and unclipped her leash so that they could walk. Dropping it on the ground since he wouldn't need it anymore, Gunji took her hand instead, grinning childishly as he held it and walked to the closest shopping district since his pretty new pet wanted to get some new clothes. Gunji had brought enough money for a whole new wardrobe. He'd asked the maids to prepare a bedroom beside his for the girl but hoped she would sleep in his room instead. Gunji always liked to have someone to snuggle with while he slept. Cats were nice to snuggle with but they often got up and left once they were done sleeping, leaving poor Gunji all alone.
When Asten asked what she should call Gunji, the blond thought for a moment then smiled. "Well, just call me Gunji. You can call me master if you really want but Gunji is fine," the blond said. The maids and butlers called him master enough so it would be nice to hear someone say his name, especially Asten with her pretty little voice. Gunji didn't really have anyone to call him by his name other than the people he worked for but that didn't count. He didn't like any of them... Always bossing him around but they paid him and gave him a job he liked so it didn't matter.
"Here, we've arrived," he said as they got to the mall. Gunji didn't live too far away but he could always call someone to pick them up and drive them home since they were going to have bags of clothes and possible shoes to be carrying home. "Alright, cutie, other than clothes did you need to get anything else? Are you hungry?" Gunji asked, wanting to take good care of his new pet. He realized that the people t the market didn't put much effort into keeping their slaves well fed. They only showered them and dressed them well to make a profit.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ You could have knocked her over with a feather - ironically enough - when he just dropped the leash on the ground and started holding her hand like a kid. Asten stared up at him silently as she followed down the street. Slaves must be common here, or at least common enough that the people they passed hardly spared a glance at her collar. The shifter wondered if all masters treated their slaves like this here, or if she'd just gotten incredibly lucky. She liked to think it was the latter, if only because it meant her life was taking a turn for the better. Not that she wanted the masters here to be cruel. It was just...it would be nice to think things were looking up.
Asten didn't say anything on the way to the mall. She was enjoying being able to stretch her legs. Even the confinement of him holding onto her hand wasn't terrible like she had thought it might be. It would take some getting used to, wearing this collar and hearing the charms clink together every once in a while. She wasn't even sure what they meant, to be honest, they'd just asked her some questions and put them on the collar before putting it on her. The names he called her were funny. They were better than anything else she'd been called in four years. Maybe one day he'd used her name. It'd be nice to hear it from someone other than a slaver. And that was only to fill out paperwork. Maybe one day, she'd have the courage to ask him to use it.
Taken aback by his question, Asten stammered for a few minutes as she looked around. Growing nervous with so many people around after being secluded for so long - usually she loved to people-watch - she gripped his hand a little tighter. "Um, I guess, uh, yeah, I'm hungry," she admitted, giving him a nervous smile and brushing hair from her eyes with her free hand. She needed bathroom stuff, like a toothbrush and the like, but had a feeling there might be spares anyway. People who could afford slaves seemed to keep spare things around. If not, she'd have to go without until she could get some. It was too embarrassing to ask. "And, Gunji, I don't know if you know, but I feel sneaky not telling you. I'm a shifter," Asten said quietly. It felt odd to use his name.

Gunji glanced down at Asten when her hand gripped tighter around his. Blinking in confusion, he smiled and noted when she decided she was hungry. He happily lead them to the food court, ignoring the suspicious glances he got with the claws clanking together with his every step. People carried tasters and guns around... Couldn't he carry his claws? It seemed perfectly normal for Gunji. What if he ran into... Into a robber? He would need to defend himself of course. And by defend, Gunji usually meant kill the smallest threat towards him. He was pulled out of his thoughts when his pretty pet spoke up again, eyes widening as she spoke. He'd bought a shifter? Not that he disliked the idea. Gunji smiled at the idea. "What do you shift into?" he asked as if he were a child finding out that their toy did more than they thought.
Gunji was simply human. He didn't have any special powers of anything so he was interested as soon as the idea of Asten shifting into something. Maybe it would be something fluffy that he could cuddle with! Although he could cuddle with Asten even if she had only been human. If she didn't want to cuddle, Gunji would probably do it anyways. He always fell asleep holding onto one of the strays that come into his house and never let go until he woke up. By the time he woke up, he's be covered in scratches and bites from the cat. Gunji didn't really care when that happened though. He slept like the dead and never let go of whatever he was cuddling. If it got away from him, he'd wake up in a cranky mood and possibly throw a fit or tantrum like a child.
When they got to the food court, he found a table for himself and Asten. "What do you want to eat?" Gunji asked as he looked around at the fast food places the food court had. Gunji would probably eat too. Hopefully Asten wouldn't mind. When Gunji ate he are savagely, using his hands and dangling things above his mouth before swallowing the food whole. It was almost scary to watch Gunji eat and people often watched him eat anyways. The people that worked in house household didn't seem to care that he ate like some starved animal. They'd learned to act as if it was completely normal since for Gunji... It was completely normal. Living with Gunji, Asten would probably find a lot of strange habits and traits of Gunji. Sh'e probably realize just how crazy he was. Hopefully it wouldn't cause her to run away. Gunji had taken a liking to Asten and wouldn't deal with his new pet running away very well.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Asten was getting used to listening the claws smack together with that odd metallic clank. It was oddly...not quite comforting, but she'd never lose him in a crowd at least. Not that she thought it was possible to anyway, he'd stand out everywhere but the toughest crowds. And even then...no, he'd still be easy to find. That was the comforting thought, the claws' noise just gave her brain something to focus on. He asked what she turned into, but before she had the chance to respond, he was pulling her over to a table and setting her down, tucking her away like a toy he was trying very hard not to break. And then he asked what she wanted and she looked around, a bit overwhelmed.
It had been years since she'd been able to choose what she wanted to eat. At a bit of a loss for the moment, she looked up at her master and tried to think of an answer. "Maybe, um, do they have pizza?" she asked, looking around curiously. She didn't care what was on it or anything, but she'd missed all that grease and cheese. If he wanted something else, she was sure he'd just ignore her and go get it. But she didn't want to sound like she was being demanded, even if he had asked. She was still worried he'd want to get rid of her, or something, and wasn't sure how to behave. There was a fine line between behaving as herself and trying to adjust to do what she thought would please him. And as she barely knew him, Asten was only confusing herself.
Remembering he'd asked her a question, she twisted her hair over her shoulder nervously. "I shift into a, uh, a swan," she said quietly, waiting to hear laughter, mocking or otherwise. Most shifters she knew turned into a predator - a wolf, a tiger, a hawk - something deadly and impressive. And while swans were pretty, and could get very nasty, they were hardly the most intimidating of animals. Maybe he'd have a pool she could swim in, if he let her shift at all. Or maybe he'd keep a leash on her again, now that she knew she was able to fly from him. "But I won't fly away, I promised not to leave!" she added quickly, before he could accuse her of trying to trick him. That had happened one time - she hadn't even made it out of the building before she was thrown back in the cage with a broken leg as punishment.

Gunji looked around for a place that served pizza, glancing back at Asten when she said she turned into a swan. Gunji frowned at first, realizing he couldn't cuddle a swan but the smiled. "Of course something as pretty as you'd turn into a swan," he said as if just realizing something. It wasn't unexpected for Asten to turn into a swan at all to Gunji. She was pretty, quiet, and fragile looking after all. Gunji blinked when she suddenly added that she wouldn't fly away or anything. "I didn't say you were going to... But I'd like to see you fly around sometime. Usually I don't see many swans at all so it'll be okay if you change every now and then. If you flew away, you'd have to come back anyways, right? Like the pochies and tamas at home... They leave me but they always come back when they get hungry. I hope you stay and keep me company though," Gunji said, seeming a lot more serious than usual for once but suddenly he stood up and smacked his hands on the table. "You're hungry right? I'll go find you some pizza. Stay here," Gunji said, his thoughts suddenly taking a change of direction.
The man got up and looked around before he lined up for a pizza place. He looked over the menu as he waited, turing and looking around when something behind him started to cry. The mother had a shocked look on her face as she stared up at the towering blond. Gunji just knelt down and looked at the baby in the stroller with a smile, waving at him and talking in his baby voice as he tried to make the baby smile. He made a few faces at the baby but it only made the kid start crying even more. The people around him just stared at Gunji and Gunji watched as the mother stepped backwards a few times before simply heading the other direction, leaving Gunji squatting there awkwardly. The blond blinked a few times then just stood up and moved forward in line. He just wanted to make the baby smile.
When Gunji got to the front of the line, he acted like nothing happened and ordered a large cheese pizza. If Asten couldn't finish, he could help her. Usually Gunji are more than one pizza any was. As the thought crossed his mind, he got two boxes instead and paid. Gunji returned to the table shortly and placed the pizzas on the table with two plates although Gunji wouldn't use his. He'd just eat out oft he box. "There you go princess," he purred as he sat down and opened a box, taking a slice. Gunji didn't seem to care where he was, dangling the slice over his mouth and practically eating it whole.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ When he frowned, Asten's heart almost stopped, afraid he'd forbid her to ever shift. But when he said he wanted her to fly around for him, she almost fell over onto the floor. That was...that was too good to be true. She tilted her head in an almost bird-like manner as she listened to him. His tone had seemed to change, just a tiny, tiny bit. Jumping when he smacked the table, she nodded at his order and remained seated, her head whirling a bit. She had a master who not only didn't mind, but wanted her to shift. Asten was so happy at that moment, she felt the ridiculous urge to cry. Shaking her head, she kept her golden eyes on the man she called master - well, Gunji, but he was still her master - curious about him. He was weird, that was for sure. But he didn't seem too bad, at least not to her. So she wanted to see how he treated others.
Asten propped her chin in her palm and felt a twinge of sympathy for the blond man when he was just left there after trying to make the baby laugh. She wasn't sure whether he actually cared about it, or felt awkward or anything, but she did for him. At least he hadn't turned and started yelling at the baby like she'd seen one woman do. Her estimation of him crawled up a little. It didn't seem like he'd meant to scare the baby more. He was like...she couldn't put her wing on it yet, but it was something. It would come to her, it always did.
Leaning back in the chair as he returned, Asten appreciated the plates but ignored them all the same. It was pizza, for gods' sake. It was meant to be eaten - okay, not the way Gunji just did. She blinked and watched him, a bit amazed a human could open their mouth like that. It was...slightly nauseating and she hoped she never saw him eat anything icky like that or she'd lose her lunch. Speaking of which...the shifter glanced down and snagged a piece of pizza for herself, working through it faster than she had expected. Her stomach cramped for a few minutes in protest after not eating for days, but it soon calmed down and let her enjoy her meal. After two more slices, she looked back up at him. For all his niceness, as kind words might be pushing it, she felt she owed him something. How bizarre. "I, uh, didn't get a chance to reply before you left, but..." Asten trailed off, wiping her hands off on a napkin. "Thank you for saying I can shift. And of course I'd come back, I wouldn't leave anyway. I like your company." She blinked at him a few times, completely honest, before going for yet another slice.

Gunji had his mouth full of food when Asten spoke up again and swallowed his food as she spoke. He licked his fingers and wiped his mouth on his arm, smiling when she said she liked his company and wouldn't leave him. It actually made Gunji quite happy and he had the urge to pull her into a hug. The only problem was that he'd probably knock the table over in the process if he suddenly stood and trapped the girl in his arms. "I'm glad," Gunji said with a wide grin. He felt all fuzz inside and took a moment to try a register the feeling. He didn't understand right away and ignored it, beginning to eat again. He'd ended up eating about a pizza and a quarter, hoping that Asten didn't mind. Gunji could eat quite a bit and it was always a wonder where all of that food went. Maybe he worked it all off while working. Hopefully Asten wouldn't mind too much when she found out about Gunji's job but he really liked it. He would never hurt Asten on purpose even if he lacked proper logic 99.9% of the time.
"Are you finished eating?" Gunji asked after a while. They could go shopping for Asten's clothes and finish soon so that Gunji could go home and feed his stray animals. He needed to buy some food. "Oh yeah, I should probably tell you now that I need to work tonight. I'm not sure how quickly I'll be back. Usually I have to work randomly. I hope you don't mind. You could come with me to work I guess but then I might get into trouble," Gunji said with a wide grin as if his job was completely normal. To Gunji it was.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Wondering it was exactly that he did, Asten just tipped her head in that birdlike gesture again before nodding. What did it matter if she minded or not? What a weird man. But it was nice that she could at least make him smile, since that was what she was there for, after all. So she could do that properly, at least. "I don't mind. Is it all right if I explore the house? I like knowing where I'm at," she added sheepishly. It always made her feel better when she was in a new place, exploring so she knew where everything was, where everything was supposed to be. Maybe she'd even shift and hop in the bathtub, if there wasn't a pool. Four years without being a swan in water was beginning to eat at her.
It was funny. It wasn't like she'd shifted that much when she was free. But once it was forbidden, that part of her locked away and broken, it drove her nuts. Some days, all she wanted to do was try to shift, even if they did break her arms again. But Gunji wouldn't - he actually wanted her to. Asten still couldn't get over that. Finished with her last slice, she wiped her hands off again and nodded. "I'm done, Gunji, thank you for the food," she added with a small smile. Asten had never been much of a clothes shopper and Gunji didn't seem the type to spend hours going through a clothes rack, so maybe this could be quick and painless?

Gunji smiled and nodded, fine with her exploring the house. There wasn't anything she wasn't allowed to see anyways. "I don't mind, sweetheart. Go ahead. There's a garden outside in the back and theres a pool as well. Theres the fountains in the front and you can play in those too. I hope you aren't allergic to cats and dogs. You might see some wandering in and out of the house," Gunji added as if it was perfectly normal for him to have stray animals all over his mansion. The workers must hate cleaning up after him but Gunji even had litter boxes for the cats so that they didn't make any messes around the house. They should be nice to Asten.
Gunji smiled and nodded when he was thanked and tossed the boxes and plates in the trash, having the slightest decently to wipe his hands and mouth with a wet nap before he took Asten's hand and head her to look through shops. He swung their hands childishly and when he saw a shop with cute dresses and outfits in the window, Gunji smiled at Asten and pointed to the shop. "Let's go in here okay? I want to buy you cute clothes and dresses and accessories," Gunji said with a happy smile. Of course, he didn't seem like the type to to spend hours going through clothes racks but that was only when he shopped for himself. Gunji had actually been pretty excited to buy his pretty Asten clothes when he saw her. Gunji's closet was actually full of the same red hoodie he was wearing now along with many different jeans. He had some sweats and t-shirts (and matching pyjama tops and bottoms) for when he wanted something more comfortable but Gunji always preferred his jeans and red hoodie when he went out. He rarely put a shirt under his red hoodie. It just didn't feel right. For Asten though, Gunji wanted her to have lots of clothes to pick from and have clothes that would match her prettiness no matter what she wore.
As they walked, Gunji picked things off the racks, holding them to Asten to see if they met her prettiness. He shook his head at some and tossed others over his shoulder. In the end, Gunji even had clothes piled on his head and went to get a change room for Asten. "Here. Try some on to know your size" Gunji said a little too enthusiastically as he handed the large pile of clothes to Asten. "You and pick out the ones you like and don't like. Make sure you show me some outfits," Gunji added as he clapped his hands together excitedly. To tell the truth, when Gunji was little, he used to dress up babies and make sure they had outfits that were actually good looking. His mother always tossed his babies out but Gunji would go back out to the trash and find them. That's probably where his flare for female fashion came from.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ Gah. Cats? Lots of cats? It wasn't that she didn't like the furballs, but...she was a bird. They were cats. She'd just have to be careful and hope none of them tried to eat her when she shifted. But the notion that he let strays have free roam of the house brought another smile to her face. It seemed he had a soft side, even if he was sort of weird. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, in Asten's opinion. Weird people were often the most fun, in her experience before she was taken as a slave, and so far they'd gotten along all right. And if he liked animals, then she'd get to play with the strays wandering around. When she was in human form, that is. Letting him swing her hand, Asten was relieved he didn't walk so fast she had to skip to keep up, but her hopes of a quick and easy shopping trip were dashed by his enthusiastic grin.
It was flattering, or something, at least. No one had cared about what she looked like in years, even when she was free, so having an almost-complete stranger be so cheerful about buying her something was odd. Feeling sort of like a doll - and more like a doll as time went one - Asten followed Gunji around the store. Her offers to hold things were rebuffed and she was kept burden-free, apparently so he could move her this way and that way, looking between clothing and her as if considering something. What was there to consider? She'd always just found something that fit and put it on, having almost no regard for her appearance. How ironic that the dress the slavers forced her into was the nicest one she'd had in quite some time. She eyed the growing pile of clothing with trepidation and he ignored any feeble attempts at suggesting she didn't need that much. Whether he even heard her or was just too caught up in his euphoric shopping experience was another matter altogether and the poor shifter didn't know what to do, other than simply follow him around. Asten was surprised he had an opinion on every single thing, but was happy he picked out mostly dresses and skirts. Maybe it was part of a bird thing, or maybe a shifter thing, but she'd never really gotten comfortable with pants. She wore jeans every once in a while, but she preferred to have her legs free. Whether it was to run, or shift easier, or feel a little more like her graceful feathered counterpart, she wasn't entirely sure.
Gunji just seemed so damn happy as he found one thing after another. It boggled her mind. Was she really going to have to try every single thing on? Good God, they'd be here...oh well. Her job was to make him happy, wasn't it? That was the point and it wasn't too hard to do anyway. He seemed to like it if she was just quiet and looked pretty, and she could do that. Staggering under the sudden weight of clothes, Asten let herself be herded into the room and sighed softly. "I don't pants that much. I don't really wear shoes when I'm home, either," she told him softly through the door. God, he'd even thrown bras and such onto the pile. When had he even gotten those? She'd completely missed it! Burning a bit in embarrassment, Asten began to try on the underthings first - she sure as hell wasn't going to show him those - and kept on a pair that fit her better than the old things before working her way through the pile. She paused when she found some things she liked - those were the things she showed Gunji, favoring red a bit. Funny, everyone always thought swans were white, and they were, but that didn't mean she didn't like color. And red was so...vibrant. The complete opposite of her feathers. It was fun to be so different in one form than the other, and not just the shape.
Oh lord. She hoped he didn't mind molting.

"That's fine, you can just toss anything that you don't want out of the pile. I'll get you a few a pairs shoes for when you go out." Gunji said with a wide grin as he waited from Asten to look at the clothes and decide what she liked. He like the clothes she showed him and didn't mind all the red. Gunji loved red so it didn't matter to him. He'd thrown quite a bit of red into the pile anyways. the colour seemed fitting for Asten. It went well with her grown hair and golden eyes. For the things that didn't fit her, Gunji ran around looking for the right size for his pretty Asten. When she'd tried on enough clothes for Gunji, he helped her bring the large pile of clothes that she'd liked to the counter. "Do you need a bathing suit? You can swim right? I think I put a pretty red one in the pile. You like red right?" Gunji said, firing off questions. He'd assumed she liked red from all the red clothes he'd been showed and thrown many different colors of bathing suits into the pile for Asten. "We should get you some jewellery and accessories," Gunji added with a grin. The woman behind the counter seemed to be enjoying Gunji's enthusiasm for shopping for his slave. If she worked off commission she was going to be getting quite a bit of money today.
Once Gunji paid, he took all the bags of clothes and still managed to take Asten's hand. They shopped a little more and Gunji bought Asten all kinds of hair accessories and bracelets and rings and necklaces. He'd even gotten her a pretty little jewellery box. If she didn't like accessories and jewellery, Gunji wouldn't mind. He wasnt trying to make her feel like a dress up doll. Gunji simply wanted to buy thing for his treasured new pet. Once he got everything Asten would need, Gunji also bought a bag pet food. It was a lot of carry but Gunji managed, all while holding Asten's hand. People gave him strange looks but Gunji could care less. He'd just bought a whole lot of stuff for his pretty Asten. Gunji didn't see her smile too much and hoped that she would be happy and smiled for him. She was prettier when she smiled.
Gunji lead them back home and when he stepped onto the property, a few butlers and maids came and helped get the load of bags off of Gunji. It seemed they were used to him going out and randomly coming back with this much stuff. Asten was greeted with soft "Hello miss"es. Gunji didn't mind. "I don't need to work just yet Miss. Asten," Gunji teased as he walked her into the house. The maids and butlers were heading off to put the clothes into Asten's closet. When he opened the door, it wasn't like the house was filled with stray cats. There were only a few in sight although they might meet some other stays when they walked around. The amount of cats shouldn't be overwhelming in such a big house. As a white kitten welcomed then with a soft meow, Gunji's face lit up and he picked the kitten up, nuzzling his nose against it's. "Hello puppy! How is Pochi doing?" he asked the kitten. Right. Gunji had a habit of mixing cats and dogs up. The people who lived here didn't seem to mind. Smiling at Asten as he plopped the kitten on his shoulder, he took her hand again. "Do you want to see your room first? It's right beside mien but we can share my room," Gunji said as if it was perfectly normal. Gunji lead them up the stairs and showed her the master bedroom first. It had a king sized bed and it wasn't a mess for once. The farthest wall lead to a large balcony and Gunji led them onto it. "The balcony is connected to your room. Theres some people in there putting your new clothes and everything into your closet. I'll always keep the door from the balcony to my room open so that you can come and go as you please. If you need anything and I'm not here you can always ask a maid or butler... Do you like your new home so far?" Gunji asked with an enthusiastic grin.

⋠ คsten ⋡ ╚══════════════╝ The bathing suit question brought an embarrassed flush to the young woman's cheeks, though not for any reason he'd know. She'd never actually owned a swim suit her entire life. Being a waterbird, Asten had either swam in her swan form or a naked human one, she didn't like clothes getting between her and the water. But she obviously couldn't do that living with Gunji. Well, maybe not when he was home, at least. Wondering if he'd mind her doing that if he wasn't home, Asten followed him around. She actually liked the jewelery - maybe simply because it was shiny - and was glad he never really seemed to expect any answers to all the questions he was asking her.
Relieved when the shopping finally seemed to be over, she tried to carry some of the bags and was studiously ignored. Now she really wasn't sure if he heard her or was just good at tuning things he didn't want to hear out. She was pretty sure he was human, but couldn't figure out how the heck he was carrying all of the things plus the pet food. Deciding it was just a mystery she'd have to leave unsolved, Asten was beginning to get used to him holding her hand and let herself hold his hand back as they walked home, rather than just let her hand go limp for him to tug along. "Thank you for all of this. You didn't have to, honest," Asten said as they walked, not wanting to seem ungrateful. She gave him a small smile and had to skip a bit to keep up with him, now that it seemed he was eager to get home his strides had lengthened quite a bit.
Funnily enough, Asten didn't mind the quiet greetings of the staff when they got there, although she was surprised they were calling her 'miss'. Maybe because they were occupied with unloading their boss of his load, instead of just watching her, she was a lot more at ease. The shifter had been expecting some sort of horrible mess inside and was pleasantly surprised when not only was it nice and clean, but it wasn't overflowing with furry little creatures. Giggling when he addressed the kitten as a puppy, Asten thought about correcting him and decided people probably had already tried. Besides, it was cute. Petting a few of the cats as they walked by, she followed him happily. The house was big! And knowing there was a pool was making her a bit antsy to just strip and dive in, human or bird. Hearing that she was to share his room - at least, it sounded like he wanted her to - Asten blinked in surprise but went with it. She hated sleeping alone, it would be nice to have company. Her eyes brightened when they went over on the balcony and she looked around curiously. Heights, she got heights. Looking back to him, she grinned - a nice wide, honest grin that hadn't appeared on her face since she was made a slave. "I love it!" she said enthusiastically, taking her shoes off and hopping up to stand on the railing with inherent grace and balance. She paced back and forth on it - even if she somehow did fall, she could shift in a heartbeat and was in no danger of getting splattered. "Everything is so big and airy and nice!" Turning on her heel to look at Gunji again, smiling, she didn't even have to bend that much to hug him impulsively. "Thank you, Gunji, for taking me out of that horrible cage," she murmured, rubbing her cheek on his shoulder for a moment.

x╔══════ ☠ ══════╗ Ⓖ Ⓤ Ⓝ Ⓙ Ⓘ ╚══════ ☠ ══════╝ Gunji smiled back at the girl when she looked so happy. It was nice to see the smile and he enjoyed hearing her approve of her new home. Gunji hugger her back, kissed her cheek, then hopped up in the railing as well. It was rather wide and Gunji was good with balance as well so he didn't fret over falling down. He always stood up here. Every now and then he'd felt like jumping but one of the maids yelled at him to get down from the railing as soon as they noticed him staring at the ground with a bit too much interested. It was true, one or two of the maids actually tried Gunji like he was a child that needed to be taken care of every now and then. When he was scolded for doing stupid things like climbing on the railing and thinking of jumping, Gunji simply got down and pouted for the rest of the day. He might flip a few things over in frustration but it was a better mess to clean up than a dead body in the back yard.
"Let's go look at your room too then," Gunji said before he hopped off the railing and headed into the next room through an open sliding glass door. The maids and butlers had finished putting all the clothes away for Asten. The room was a bit smaller than Gunji's but still big. The bed was queen sized instead and at the wall across from it was a wardrobe with a mirror. On the wardrobe was Asten's full jewellery box and Gunji smiled to see the place all tidy and in order. "You could sleep here but I would like it better if you shared my room... You don't have to though," Gunji said, clearly hinting that he wanted Asten to sleep in his room. Gunji was never a fan on sleeping alone.
"I should show you the rest of the house too. Downstairs theres a ball room with instruments if you know how to play those. I have an office but i don't use it. There's a lot of books and stuff in there. It's like a library. The maids and butlers like to spend time in there when they don't need to work. Theres a pool and garden outside... I think I might have said that already. Feel free to wander around and play there while I'm gone tonight. I can be a litre late to work I guess," Gunji explained happily. Just then something in his pocket started buzzing and Gunji growled as he picked up with a moody tone saying, "Whaaaaaaaaat~" On the other end you could hear some yelling and when Gunji tried to talk back the man could be heard saying "You're already late!" and Gunji growled again as he agreed to go out now. Looking back at Asten, Gunji ruffled her hair and kissed her cheek. "I'm going to work now okay, Asten? You can ask the maids or butlers for anything you need. Go ahead and look around the house while I'm gone. I'm not sure when I'll be back but hopefully soon, okay?" Gunji said with a grin. He slid his claw back onto his hands and then headed off, singing some random obnoxious tune as he went off to work.
Gunji smiled happily as he marched off to the police station. When he got there, he was scolded a bit more before he was given tonight's job. On the piece of paper was a name, possible locations, and a picture and Gunji quickly headed off to do his work. His job every night was to find the person on the paper, kill them, clean up whatever mess he made, then return to whoever was giving him the job to get his pay for the night. Tonight he got quite a bit of money and Gunji thanked the police men before practically skipping back home. He'd been gone for a while. It took a long time to find the guy but Gunji had finished his job quickly so that he could go back home to his precious Asten as soon as possible. When he got back home, he was drenched in what looked like blood. The red fluid was matted into his hair and drying already.
"I'm home!" he called out in a sing songy voice, hoping Asten didn't mind waiting for him.
[[I feel like I'm moving too quickly. Am I? I hope I'm not godmodding or anything. ]]
