A while back I was browsing around on YouTube and I stumbled across one of the "Who pooped in the Nintendo" videos by the VlogBrothers. After watching that one video I went back onto the VlogBrothers channel and spent about five hours just watching videos. At the time I had no idea who the VlogBrothers were or what a NerdFighter was, but ever since than I have been one. :3

I was in the LD on Gaia 3 years ago when someone replyed to a thread with John's 'How to make a baby video'. It was the FUNNIEST thing I had seen in a long time and over that year I slowly became a nerdfighter. Now I have a bunch of RL Nerdfighter friends, I've been to Tour de Nerdfighting, read all John's books, and even turned my mom into a Nerdfighter emotion_awesome

I have used both "nerd" and "geek" as proud defining terms for myself for years.

My first Vlogbrothers video came about because of a phone conversation with my brother back in January...about pornography. He told me to go watch John's "I am not a pornographer" video. Up until that point I had never heard of the Vlogbrothers.

Shortly after that I embarked on a (procrastination) quest to watch all of the Vlogbrothers videos in order from the beginning. They made me laugh, cry, and think. Which is a rare treat on the internet.

I shared a number of videos with my friends, and had to stop myself from using DFTBA as a "goodbye" around those who wouldn't understand what that meant.

After I watched all the Vlogbrothers videos I watched all of SciShow and Crash Course.

However, I didn't feel like I could call myself a "nerdfighter" until one day I looked over at my bookshelf and started giggling uncontrollably. I had just "in your pants"ed a title without thinking about it. I felt that now I was truly able to use the title.

More than a nerd, I am a Nerdfighter!
