Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Lizzie groaned when she saw this stadium. The randomizer had to pick a field that was disadvantageous to her didn't it? Well, she'll just have to work extra hard to pull through.

((Nope, I guess the person who goes first has to.))
Zinnia's trainers box was a little crowded with all three pokemon out of their pokeballs, ready and waiting for their turn in the match. Luckily none of them were too big, though, so there was wiggle room. Shadow Mew was floating up near the ceiling. Zyk was in his usual spot on Zinnia's shoulder. And Dreydonna was floating on Zinnia's other side, grinning in anticipation as she examined the field and their opponent.
"Electric, huh?" Zinnia noted. Poor Zyk wouldn't like that. But on the bright side, all of her pokemon could fly (or float), so they'd probably be able to avoid the hazards of the field itself. "Good luck, guys. You've got this." She smiled at her beloved friends, and pet Zyk's soft head. This was a going to be a big match! But they were ready.

"Dreydonna, you go first," Zinnia said decisively. The ghost pokemon was rather impatient, so it was probably best to let her go before she decided to try something that would get them all disqualified.
Dreydonna cackled and did a flip over the rails of the trainer's box, floating gently and upside-down to her place on the field.
"Dreydonna, Thunderpunch!"
The ghost pokemon zoomed across the field, her fist clenched and crackling with electricity aided by the field's own generators. Without a visible target, Dreydonna aimed instead for Lizzie herself.
"'Donna! No!" Zin exclaimed in horror as she realized what was about to happen, but it was too late for her to stop it.

Lizzie's eyes widened as the Gengar threw a Thunderpunch at herself. The trainer. She had never seen happen before but she didn't waste a second in sending out her own Pokemon. Portal appeared in a flash of red light and took the brunt of the attack, landing on the ground with all four feet.
"Get a hold of your Pokemon!" Lizzie said. This battle was not going to go well if the other trainer couldn't even control them. "Portal, use Confuse Ray."
The Umbreon glanced at Dreydonna and flashed her rings in an hypnotic pattern.

Zinnia cringed as the other trainer berated her. It wasn't really her fault, was it? Dreydonna was still a recently captured pokemon for her, but ever since day one she had been something of a menace. She had never thought that 'Donna would actually hurt someone, though...
Focus, she told herself as Dreydonna was confused by the odd rings coming from the umbreon. "Shadow Ball!"
Dreydonna blinked several times, but the after images of the bright rings would not vanish from her vision. Nevertheless, she summoned up a ball of dark purple energy between her clawed hands and tried to release it at Portal.

Portal cackled as the Shadow ball backfired in the Gengar's hands. Her rings continued to flash in hopes of confusing her even more. She wasn't going to let Dreydonna lay a finger on her trainer if she could help it!

"Ahh, be careful, 'Donna!" Zinnia exclaimed as the ghost was confused once again. "Okay, come back. Zyk, it's your turn!" She lifted Dreydonna's empty pokeball and returned the confused ghost in a beam of red light.
Zyk flung himself off of his trainer's shoulder and into the air. He squeaked in loud defiance at the umbreon, ready for the fight.

Muttering under her breath, Lizzie took a minute to decide her next move. Or rather, she decided to not move and call back her Umbreon instead. The next red flash released a flustered looking Pidgeot that did not look happy with this battlefield choice.

Zinnia's eyes narrowed at the appearance of the pidgeot. "Zyk, come back," she said, lifting Dreydonna's pokeball again. As Zyk reentered the trainer's box (feeling a bit disappointed that he hadn't been allowed to fight), Zinnia released her ghost pokemon, who appeared in a beam of red light.

Lizzie figured that now was as good as any time to attack. She didn't want this to turn into a switch-a-thon after all. "Go for a Faint attack." She commanded and Kestrel disappeared into the shadows, only to strike from behind. Sneaking up on a Gengar? That's an interesting thing to behold indeed.

Dreydonna winced at the attack, but her maniacal grin quickly reappeared. Without waiting for a command, she used another Thunder Punch, this time aiming for the proper target, Kestrel.
"Dreydonna, wait for my command!" Zinnia scolded ineffectually.

Kestrel let out a loud cry as the Thunderpunch smacked him in the shoulder. Feeling pain and numbness at the same time, he fell to the ground with a sickening thud.
"Kestrel!" Lizzie cried out. She tightly held onto the rail in anticipation, then let out a sigh of relief as he picked himself back up. But no matter how hard he tried Kestrel couldn't get more than a foot off the ground with some pathetic wingflaps.
"No matter. Two can play at this game." She said. "Mirror Move."
Kestrel squawked again and half-hopped over to Dreydonna, wing electrified and aiming to paralyze.

"Dreydonna!" Zinnia cried out in alarm as her gengar was suddenly frozen in her place in the air. She took a deep breath in order to calm down. Hadn't the other trainer just told her to remain in control? "Thunderpunch," she commanded.
Dreydonna attempted to summon up more electricity around her fist even as static was causing her ghostly muscles to spasm.
