It smelled like kitsune. Canine ish. He’d seen the ghoul in passing and had been automatically curious. Her species was not one he’d ever encountered before. Like fox but just that hint, that faint edge that told him it wasn’t. Or, it was a kitsune of a different clan. He’d known Tomoko’s clan most of his life, so… it might be possible that he’d just never encountered another kitsune to find the scent of species rather than the scent of a clan.

Gathering up his courage, he chased after the ghoul, trying to wave her down. “Excuse me, miss?” When he managed to catch up to her he smiled, red eyes moving to her tail and ears. “Ah, this may seem a bit odd but, you’re a kitsune are you not?”

A fox demon, but not a kitsune. He'd never heard of a kumiho before and as she explained , he sniffed the air around her again. She also smelled nothing like a succubus. "You don't smell like lust or runt or mating." It was a curious tone. He half expected her to with the description of succubus.

His tail mimicked her own, back and forth not quite a wag but more a gentle sway. "No, hardly. Though I am a canine, I am a ghost rather than demon. A white wolfos to be exact." Smiling he bowed at her. "Frost in the Storm. Are you a first year?"

Eras pricked at the comment. "School is... a bad thing to your kin? Forgive me, but that seems rather.. foolish all things considered." He'd come because he needed to learn. Why was being sent to school such a bad thing? The thought didn't make sense to him.

"And it's not surprising. My tribe lives to the far north, a few days from the nearest 'city'." He used finger quotes even. "It's a rural town is anything, and well... we're have been isolated. So when I was chosen as heir to the Alpha, I made the choice to become more worldly. A school seemed like the best route for such."

Circling around her a bit, his head turned at the sigh of her tails. "I have been here since Scarentines. Its such a strange festival. That and Prom. People here are far to invested in rutting and mating."

King nodded. From that reasoning, he could understand why school was less a choice and more a needed opportunity. Still in must be hard to be forcesd to go to schoool. In his assumtions 'ing equated it to being forced to sit out of a hunt and then be put on gathering duty.

Looking the ghoul up and down he snorted. "I do not think there is such a thing as a proper demon. No one has ever told me of such and there is certainly no such thing as a proper ghost or white wolfos." His tail puffed out a bit showing his displeasure. "There might be an ideal, but not a proper form."

Calming down from the huff and puff King smiled. "As for flirting it is not that hard. I am not good at it but... Yes. Quite a few students desire to rut. Not so much find a mate proper but...scarentines was a festival of hormones really."

It was one way to look at it. Personally King didn't see the appeal of looking for a true mate so soon. Not to mention when he would be the alpha he would need the stongest mate and that had nothing to do with emotions whatsoever. "I think it is the reality that many of us are unready for mates and pups. If we seek them out so soon who is to say we will not change in the next few winters?"

Chuckling he shook his head before going on. "And if it is of an comfort, my tribe and many other wolfos mate only to produce the strongest offspring. Male or female does not matter to us, but the strength of parentage does. As for students..." He shrugged.

"Rutting is fun and rather nice but yes they do go a bit obsessive about it. If they put that energy into studying I expect the school would be better off. All that aside I have not kept you from an appointment hasve I?"

He rather hoped people wanted to learn. It seemed almost pointless to be at school otherwise. Not to mention it was annoying being paired with people who didn't want to learn and were more focused on other things. Like food or clothes or getting a ghoil or boilfriend.

"Ahahah-" laughing King shook his head, "-hardly. I was more worried I was keeping you. But as you say you're meeting friends I assume I have kept you long enough." Bowing, King smiled. "I didn't introduce myself. I am Frost in the Storm. And like I said a second year ghost."
