For the umpteenth time, Shaheen had to tell herself that she had entered into this little game...wait, no! Competition! Because it would be a great way to hone new skills. As a result, she may have taken her mission just a tad too seriously, as she had camped herself out in a tree outside of the school, awaiting the appearance of her first target. She held the pin she had received in hand, the image of the student that came with it engraved in her memory as she stared down at the school doors with narrowed eyes. He was a students, and eventually, he would be coming this way. Who cares if she had been camped out up here for hours now, studying every single student, teacher, and ToTer that walked in and out of those doors? This was a serious matter, and needed to be treated as such!
And then, finally, he came into sight. The horsewoman pushed herself from sitting to crouching in her tree, creeping forward on hands and feet until he was in just the right place, before she threw herself to the ground to land behind him, hoping to be able to sneak up from behind. wings unfurled to slow her fall. She landed on the ground in a crouch, almost silently, head tilted to the side, one eyebrow raised, and a smirk creeping across her face before she straightened up and began to make her move.

West had completely forgotten about the stupid game. He had signed up to play a while ago, right after he had returned from the foggy ruin that had once been the Isles of the Four Clans. Back then he hadn't been able to suppress the feeling that he might start sobbing at any moment, nor the fear that went with that loss of control. He had needed to feel happy, but the time for cute pins and pointless chases had passed. He was fine. Life was back to normal for now. The boil was on his way back to his dorm where a shiny envelope containing instructions and a picture of Shine awaited him, but at the moment, he had no idea that anything was amiss. Even if he had been paying attention, he likely wouldn't have noticed his stealthy pursuer.

Perfect! Everyhing was going so well! The chieftain had so far been able to shadow the student without him even noticing her presense. Now all she had to do was reach out with the pin and... ..But no. It just felt so wrong. So...sneaky and underhanded! No, Shaheen actually preferred to face her opponents face on. She was no coward to slink along in the shadows and strike when her enemies back was turned. This student deserved a fighting chance, and she was going to give him one. Reaching out with her free hand, the one not holding the pin, she tapped him on the shoulder with a loud, "Hey you!" And waited for him to turn around and acknoweldge her presense. Belatedly she realized it may have been at least polite to have bothered to memorize the students name. Oh well, no time for that now. Besides, he was just going to be another casulty of war, probably not even worth remembering. HP:15 Damage: 2

The boil spun in place, eyes narrowed. Who in their right mind would prod at a Jackin' Hob? Nevermind that, who would poke him? West drew back his fist without thinking, but when he saw who, or rather what, had tapped him, he shook his hand instead in a sloppy attempt to cover. Why yes, saucy, sassy War Horseman. I was just stretching."Yeah," he said with a forced chuckle. "Me. It's me. Walkin'." He had never met a member of the War clan who wasn't Eris, and that ghoul made him twitchy for reasons he couldn't quite put into words. Actually, he probably could have, but he had a feeling Levi would punch him if she heard. Hm. No, no, that would be bad. "So. Y'wanted me?"HP: 13 Damage: 0

Don't think she didn't catch that raised fist, West! Shaheen see's everything! The horsewoman raised her eyebrows at him, eyes darting towards the fist now being shaken out and back to his face. The message was clear in the look she was giving him. The look said 'Just try it. I dare you.', though an arrogant smirk was already spreading across her lips. This was a feisty one, she could tell already! He might even actually be worth her time. Hands came up to rest on her hips, though the pin she held was still tweaked between thumb and index finger. "We are to play.." Ugh, how she hated the word play, but too late to take it back now. "..survivor. You are my first target. Please, feel free to try and run, or defend yourself. I encourage you to not let me take you down peacefully." Because really, where would be the fun competition in that? HP:15 Damage: nah~

"Survivor?" he blurted. Was that some sort of horseman game? Why was she playing it with him? West's gaze darted over to the pin she held in her hand. Hey, it kind of looked like him! Oh. That game. Okay. Now that he knew what in the hell was going on, he actually felt a lot better. His slightly clueless expression melted into a more devious one, and he dropped his hovering fist back to his side. "Okay, y'got it. Not peaceful." He backed up a step, looked to his left in one of the most spectacularly awful fake-outs ever, then took off running to the right across the crispy grass. Normally he would have tried to attack, but he couldn't see the point in getting close. If he just swung at her, what was to prevent her from slapping that pin on him and walking away? Why hadn't she done that already? These were questions. HP: 13 Damage: and then they made faces at each other all day

Shaheen continued to watch him carefully, weighing him with her eyes. Yes, he definitely had potential, she could just sense it! Her face alighted with a cocky, lopsided grin as he agreed to her simple terms, but then she simply rolled her eyes as he looked in one direction, then took off in the other. Maybe her senses had been a little bit off today. In no real hurry, she stood where he had left for for a couple of moments, feigning and interest in her finger nails before her wings snapped open and she took a running leap up into the sky. Higher and higher she climbed, wing beats carrying her as she ghosted after her target, her keen eyes tracking him from above. It didn't take her long to catch up, and her wings suddenly tucked in behind her as her arms outstretched in front and she began head long dive towards the ground. The air whistled in her ears as made her rapid descent, her teeth gritted, her face determined. At the very last moment she let her wings unfurl once more and the horsewoman (all 6'2" of her) attempted to wrap her arms around the wrath demon from behind and use her momentum to take him to the ground. It had been a very long shot that she might actually fall for such a juvenile move. To be honest, West would have been disappointed if she had. He didn't look behind him as he ran, concentrating instead on darting around trees and not tripping over rock saboteurs. It was a mistake. When Shaheen crashed into him, West's eyes went wide and he dropped like a sack of rotten potatoes. His cheek rammed into the packed dirt and he let out a sharp nonsensical shout, whipping his tail toward the horseman in the hopes of distracting her long enough so he could get away. HP: 7 Damage: 1

Ugh, but that had been much too easy! The horsewoman took the demon to the ground and began to roll off of him almost instantly in a flurry of feathers. His tail lashed out towards her, and even as she tried to dart back out of the way it was too late as it slapped against her right cheek, leaving a small but painful red welt. That was a little bit more like it! She barked out a laugh, straightening out from her crouched position at his side, weary of this tail now as she reached out a foot to prod into him. "Get up!" She all but commanded. "You need to try again, and try harder this time."Was she really going to let him run again, like a cat playing with a mouse just before finally putting it out of it's misery? Why yes, yes she was! HP:14 Damage: 1

He did as she said, partly because she was kicking his a** and he needed the head start, but mostly because it was fun. Getting up any sort of speed took a bit more effort this time, but he was soon running again, his mind racing with kickass ways to retaliate while his limbs carried out none of them. West didn't even bother summoning his own wings. He was finally grasping how to make the most of flying, but the boil knew to use them now would be akin to forfeit. "Yes, sir!" he shouted over his shoulder. O ho ho. Burn.HP: 6 Damage: nope

She gave a nod of approval when the student stood up and took off once more, though this time she didn't hesitate to follow as she decided to at least give him a fighting chance and go after him on foot instead of by wing. She knew she was a fast runner, and that he probably still didn't stand a chance (or so she liked to think) but hey, it was a lot more fair then diving on him again! He should be grateful. The fact that he shouted 'Sir' at her didn't even register as she took off at a sprint after him, her wings tucked in firmly behind her so that they would not slow her down. Of course, that small dip in the ground that she stumbled over probably didn't speed her up much. HP: 14 Damage:0

West didn't see her stumble, but that was because he was finally carrying out one of his grand plans. He darted under a withered old tree, grabbing one of the low-hanging branches as he passed and yanking the dead thing with as much force as he could muster. It fell behind him with a soft crash. He hoped it was enough to trip her up. HP: 6 Damage: 3

The stumble only set her a couple of paces back, fortunately, and she was soon back on stride, her long and powerful legs gracing her with the speed necessary to start catching up. She had her target well in her sights, eyes locked on his back as he moved. She was actually starting to close in on him when he pulled his little tree branch stunt, and she actually made a small yelp of surprise as the branch collided with her legs, tangling her up mid stride. That was a dirty little trick! She had to grin even as she let herself fall to the ground, arms stretched in front of her so that she could tuck herself into a forward roll before springing back to her feet. Her shin throbbed a little from where the branch had struck, but she ignored it as she came back into full stride and started to gain on him once more. The pin clutched in her hand seemed almost eager to do it's work, and it began snapping open and closed. Soon... She thought. HP: 11 Damage: 3

It didn't take much longer for the boil to begin to tire. The adrenaline rush that had kept him going since she had tackled him ebbed away and he stumbled to a stop before turning to face her, bent at the waist with his hands propped on his thighs. "Let's do this," he said, more to the ground than the horseman. HP: 3 Damage: 2

As the student began to slow, her pace slowed as well. The horsewoman hadn't even broken a sweat and here this child was, slowing to a stop, bent over double and speaking to her while staring at the ground. How completely and utterly disappointing. Shaheen had stopped across from him, hands coming up to rest on hips and a foot tapping on the ground impatiently. "Let's do what?" She asked, her voice sounding somewhat amused as she brought up a hand to gesture in the air in front of her. Oh right, he probably couldn't even see that. HP: 9 Damage: nada!
