Siha's pride had been small, though she was not sure if the Mistweavers had always been that way. The pride had constantly struggled to keep steady numbers, and in the end even Siha felt it better to move on. It was curious how the rogue life was not much different than the one she had led before. There was more company at times, yes, and being close to her family had a great level of comfort. But, they were all grown up, and all had gone their seperate ways.

Every now and then Siha would run into someone, but never was it someone she had met before. She had not seen her family in ages, and it surprised her that it didn't really bother her. Siha was a large lioness, at least considering that she was Mistweaver born. Most of the lions around her had been small. Coloration-wise, she was simple and elegant. There was hardly anything threatening about her, and so she passed through lands with relative ease. A lot of the time, no one even noticed her. She was fine with that, really.

The lioness was moving through an area thickened by woods and underbrush, but she had the skill to move through them quietly. However, it hindered her vision. She couldn't see around the trees, through the brush. The splotched patterned lioness would just have to make do.

Doko had never been out of the swamplands in his life. He knew it was expected of him, as he had to find his true name at some point... but still the rogue lands had proven to be slightly overwhelming. He was interested in some of the rogues he'd seen, but he'd never been able to strike up the nerve to speak to them. Mostly it was because the very land itself had him on edge. Where were all of the trees? There were hardly any! And it was so dry, it was alarming! He felt so exposed, traveling across the lands out in the open. Night proved to be the best time to move, because at least he could flit through the land feeling relatively camouflaged. With the exception of his very light mane, but mud could have taken care of that. If he'd been able to find any! He'd only passed two watering holes since he'd left the swamps... that too was weird.

He almost wanted to turn around and go back... but how could he without having found his true name? It would be shameful. He had found a smaller grove of trees... a small wooded area. He liked it, it made him feel safer. He'd decided to explore it, moving easily and comfortably through the thick underbrush and woods. But the longer he moved forward, the more he was sure he could hear someone else headed toward him. His gaze flitted over all of the shadows and near bushes, but the woods made it hard to see very far ahead.

Should he speak up? Maybe this was his chance to speak to a rogue... He slowed his pace, tail flicking. Or maybe he should stay silent? "H-hello?" But it had come out barely a whisper, there was no way anyone else would have heard his words.

Siha hadn't heard anything, which was likely because Doko had not spoken loudly, and had likewise stopped moving. The only way she could have heard something was if he was rustling a branch or running into a bush. She was weaving her way between roots and branches, carefully picking her feet up with each step she made. Siha rounded a tree only to bump her nose against well...

    Oh gods!

She stared blankly at the lion's whose nose her own was touching, not daring to move an inch in case she startled him further. He was so darkly colored that she just hadn't seen him before it was too late, and now things had gone from frightening to awkward. With a short cough she stepped back and glanced to any spot in the forest but him.

    "S-sorry."

He had not seen the lioness until it had been too late... though he there probably had been a moment where he could have shouted warning. Doko didn't though, he'd tried to muster up the courage but nothing had come out of his mouth after the weak hello. His eyes were shockingly wide as they stared into the darker ones facing him, as she took a step back so did he. As her gaze flickered anywhere around them but him he found himself just watching her, letting his bright eyes flow long her mostly white pelt. She had a few large splashes of black, they contrasted in a very lovely manner.

She'd said sorry, it seemed this was equally awkward for you. "Oh no, I sort of... think it was my fault." He mumbled horribly as he spoke, his gaze finally dropping to his paws. He was too embarrassed to admit that he'd heard her, he just hadn't been able to... warn her of his presence. His nose felt alarmingly strange, like he could still feel her nose against his. He wasn't sure, but he thought there was something intimate about it... The thought caused him to clear his throat, and now he was having trouble looking at her. "I'm uh..." Should he give her his cub name? It wasn't his true name... but he couldn't just not give her a name! "Dokoko. Are you a rogue? Or maybe did I stumble into a pride? I've never been out of my pride before and.." He was still mumbling, but his words were slow, persistent. He thought perhaps she might not want to hear that many questions. He looked rather silly, talking at the ground like he was.

Siha felt that as long as she did not look at him, she was not overwhelmed by her embarrassment over her accidental action. She really hadn't heard him! At least he wasn't reacting... poorly to the incident. Okay, so she could feel his embarrassment radiating all the way from him to her, or was that some residual feeling due to their sudden contact? "Let's just resolve to say it was... both of our faults, and we are equally sorry," Siha responded quickly, still unable to glance towards the younger male.

"Siha," she responded while still looking towards her own feet. "I am a rogue, and I don't think we are in any pride's lands. This forest would be a menace to work around." Siha wasn't sure how much she should say to someone new. She was so used to being on her own that now she had finally met someone, she had no idea how to act. "Why are you out of your pride? Did you leave it?" Was he like her?

Ah! That was a very smart idea, he could live with that. It seemed to calm him almost instantly, only hints of embarrassment remaining. At least enough for him to glance up. When he caught her in basically the same posture as himself he found himself laughing, though only at how awkward and silly the whole situation was. "I'm sorry!" He managed through his laughter, feeling a new wave of embarrassment. Still, it seemed different somehow.

"Siha, you said?" His words were still quiet and slightly shy, but the strength was growing behind them. It was a lot less hard speaking to a stranger than he thought it would be. "It's nice to uhm... have run into you." He mumbled, offering a shy smile at his lame joke. He looked around at her comment about the forest, and found himself chuckling a little more. It wasn't much different than the swamps, surely! "Well... I guess since we don't know the area it's hard to move around but... maybe not if you'd been living here for a long time." He cleared his throat, watching her again.

"Uhm..." How to explain this to an outsider? Just be direct? "I'm searching for my name." He said slowly, and then realized it was too direct, it would be too confusing not giving any background information. "When we come of age in my pride we are sent on a pilgrimage to seek our true names, our names before this are just cub names..." He supposed that would do. Was he even allowed to tell her this stuff?
