Rosciel:
Text to Sin
Lunch today? Meet me at my dorm, door's open

Rosc looked around, making sure everything was just right. He'd made sure Ban hadn't tracked in any more jackrabbits, stuck her with Nightingale and Ripley into the closet, the dustbunnies were out of sight and not causing trouble... Everything looked fine.

He hit the send button on his phone, leaned against his desk with his arms crossed, and waited.

Sin Err:
Sin was in relatively high spirits, she was doing her best to keep her mind occupied lest she slip into a dark pattern of thought that haunted her sleep. When she was awake with the pumpkin suns warm glow coming through her window it was easier to smile and pretend things weren't...wrong. She had startled herself awake that morning frightened by the half images and fading memories of a nightmare, a quick cold shower had revived her spirits. She dressed and brushed her hair out while eyeing her calender and trying to decide how to squeeze in more time for classes.

Her eyephone gave a cats yowl and she blinked turning to check the text. Her face lit up and she almost startled herself in the mirror...it was still a bit surprising to see a reflection closer to her mothers than her own. It was the eyes...before she had looked at things so dismissively, now she had seen things that she couldn't forget and everything she looked at seemed important somehow. She tore her gaze away from her reflection dismissing it as foolish vanity and responding to the text.

On my way <3

She stood and looked herself over again, hmm maybe this was too casual for lunch? She eyed her outfit again and smiled, the top was just a simple wrap around her chest leaving her midriff and shoulders exposed and the skirt allowed the perfect view of her long legs. She tilted her head and grinned, Rosc would like it...but he would probably hustle her to a private lunch to keep her from any random boils view. Sin slipped on her demon eye brooch and headed down the hall glad she would get to share the news of her exam pass with him in person.

Rosciel:
Rosc tilted his head when a succession of notes on a harp told him SIn had gotten back to him. He checked the text, pocketed the phone, and moved away from the desk, heading for his dresser. Inside the drawer with his medical supplies... Ah, there it was, his minis hadn't moved it. His hand brushed the intricate craftsmanship once before closing the draw again, hoping this would work out like he planned for it to. Now all he needed was his ghoulfriend to show up.

Sin Err:
Sin slowly opened the door and walked in making sure the click as she closed it was audible. She didn't want Rosc to think she was sneaking in on him, but she felt silly announcing her presence in any obvious way.

"So what's for lunch?" She asked as she walked over to him resisting the urge to blurt out the news that she had passed her exam. Alright maybe she shouldn't be so proud, it had been a pretty easy exam, but still!

Rosciel:
Rosc smiled when she entered and wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her close, but not so much that he couldn't properly look down at her. He gave her a short kiss and a smirk.

"What is it? I can tell when you're excited about something, Sin, and lunch with me isn't that exciting." He wondered what it was, she seemed in such a pleasant mood, it had to be something good. It made him smirk even more. If she was happy already, he wondered how she'd look when bothersome little rabbits came out from under the bed.

Sin Err:
"I passes Savage's exam! I'm officially a second year student!" She grinned and hugged him glad to share her good news with him before she looked up and sighed. "Of course I really ought to be further along, but I don't think my credits from my private tutors or the Demon Academy will transfer over...and honestly they were under par anyway. I'm just excited I can go back to real classes...and learn useful things."

Her excitement slowly eased off and she managed to get her grin under control. "I AM excited about lunch though, I skipped breakfast this morning in favor of working out a little. I hope I can get back on the Fearleading squad without too much trouble."

Rosciel:
"Well, then, I think anywhere you would like to go seems appropriate for lunch. But first..." Rosc hugged her back when she hugged him, but slowly pulled away after a moment. He was proud of her, completing her exam and moving up in her studies. He should really get on that, he wasn't too far away from his own second year exam. But now wasn't the time to be thinking about things like that, he had something, well, something less important than school in the long run, but very important to him at the moment.

He let out a quick whistle sound. It took him longer than he would have liked, but as soon as they started moving they were quick little things. In a flash from under the bed came three fuzzy little bodies. All three were dustbunnies, a prince, an urusu, and a white hare, and each of them had a little sign with two words on in. Like he'd worked so hard to train them recently, they got into a line and held up their signs, their ears and noses twitching.
Together, the signs read, "with me? the prom Go to"
Rosc was too busy looking for her reaction to see that they weren't in the right order.

Sin Err:
Sin was trying to decide what she felt like for lunch as Rosc pulled away, no doubt going for his coat. She was trying to decide if she could convince him to take her to the Maul...for food...and then maybe convince him to stay so she could shop. Of course Rosc hated the crowds, and the idea of a more romantic lunch near the lake sounded rather appealing.

She looked up startled by the whistle and looking at Rosc confused before she caught movement from under the bed. What was...did Rosc have some new minipets he wanted to show her? Oh dust bunnies! They were adorable...and holding up little signs.

with me? the prom Go to... For a second Sin just stared, she wasn't stupid, she understood exactly what the signs were supposed to say. Go to the prom with me? She was just shocked, her mouth couldn't form the simple three letter word. Rosc? Antisocial, jealous, quiet Rosc was asking her to go to a crowded dance...and in the most surprisingly romantic way? For a moment she wondered if this was just a dream, something she WANTED but would never really happen. Then she remembered how Rosc had shown up at the tail end of the Scarentines Dance for her, just to please her. Yes, this was real, and this was just one of the reasons she loved him so very much.

Rosciel:
er silence scared the hell out of him, she just kept staring at the bunnies. At that moment, he followed her gaze and-
"Oh, Jack dammit, they're in the wrong order, aren't they?" he asked, pressing a hand to his blindfold in frustration. He could tell, mostly because Rabbit was not where he was supposed to be. And what the hell, Crackle had started nibbling on her sign. He let out a long sigh, turned away, and retrieved the object from his dresser drawer.

It was a mask, feminine, intricate, and very bat-like in its appearance. He moved behind Sin, wrapping his arms around her and holding up the mask for her to see.
"Your silence is deafening, my swan. I know you can figure out what that's supposed to say."

Sin Err:
Sin snapped out of her stunned silence when she saw the beautiful bat mask. She reached up to touch the intricately molded leather and gave a soft dreamy sigh before leaning up to kiss his cheek.

"Rosciel...I think this is the sweetest thing anyones ever done for me..." She wrapped her arms and wings close around him for a moment before letting him go. "You didn't really think there was any chance of me saying no did you?"

He looked somewhat...nervous? cautious? Had he really thought her answer would be anything but a resounding yes?

"Of course I'd love to go to the prom with you...what will you dress as?" She reached to take the bat mask and hold it up with a smirk. "I'll need a new dress..."

Rosciel:
Rosc didn't realize there was a tension in his shoulders until she said yes and it released. He smiled and kissed her.
"I don't really care, as long as you're with me," he replied softly, then smiled a bit.
"And you know I don't have a varied wardrobe. I thought you might like to pick something out, since I chose the..." He paused there, gesturing to the mask in her hand. "Theme for yours."

Much as he hated the crowds and all of the things he'd never see properly, Rosc decided he would go to the mall with her, if she wanted him to. It wasn't like he didn't have taste when it came to style, just not color.
"If you want, we could go to the maul, have lunch there and you can look at dresses?" Oh, man, he was making all of the wonderful gestures today!

Sin Err:
She thought of how tragic his life had been, but Rosc had risen above all that, he didn't need anyone's pity. She thought of one of her minipets, a beautiful phoenix unique for it's white plumage. That was Rosc a phoenix rising from the ashes unstoppable. Except of course she knew he wouldn't want to wear a white tux, she would have to take him shopping...or go for him. Her head jerked up and she looked at him startled then laughed.

Rosc asking her to prom? offering to go to the maul with her? "Are you sure you aren't some bodysnatcher in my boilfriends body?"

Rosciel:
Rosc chuckled and shook his head.
"If I am, I'm a really good one since I don't even know," he replied and gave her a squeeze.
"I know how much these dances mean to you and it's about time I took you to one. And..." His head turned slightly as if he were looking away or trying to avoid her gaze.

"You need to get your mind off things. I know what that's like, and doing something you enjoy always helps," he finally said, his voice a great deal more serious than it had been. He glanced over to the cello in its cradle. How many lonely, aching nights had he curled up in a chair and played out his pain?
"I know how much you like clothes."

Sin Err:
"Thank you...I know how much you hate crowds and...this means a lot to me Rosc..." She leaned up to kiss him trying not to let her mind dwell on the idea of getting her mind of things. Things...like...no...she couldn't...she just couldn't bear to think of all that right now, this moment was so wonderful she wouldn't spoil it with such sadness.

"Clothes, yes I was thinking how dashing you would look with a phoenix mask... no raven this time." She smiled and twined her fingers with his. "But first...lunch?"

Rosciel:
"I told you I'd walk through a crowded ballroom only if it meant I got to see you," Rosc replied, putting his hand under her chin when she kissed him. "I meant it."

He lifted her hand and tucked it into the crook of his arm, as much of a gentleman as any other formally trained demon when he wanted to be. Sin was the only one that could truly bring it out of him. Nic would probably kiss her if he found out.
"Mmhmm, let's go," he said and led her out of his dorm, closing and locking the door behind them.
