- The weather had been blistering hot for most of the day, very normal for the firekin lands. Though it did put a damper on things like hunting and training, some still went about their daily activities. Their duties. Canicus had taken the morning and most of the afternoon to rest in his den, though by the time the sun had started it's slow decent to the horizon he was feeling restless and slightly cranky. He was not one made to lull about for even one day. He realized he would need to get back some semblance of his daily activities... which usually consisted of being down by the dueling pits or hunting when it was needed.
He had not seen Bodair for quite some time... he thought that for the better, really. The situation still confused him greatly, and he struggled daily with the feelings he'd held for her. Much of them had disappeared when they'd made their family connection... but of course something like love could not so easily be warded off. It disgusted him, upset him. He did not know how to fix this knowledge... how to erase it.
He sighed and rose from his den, moving out into the desert sands. Doubtless that others would be down hear the pits still, but his mind seemed too weighed down to participate in a proper spar. An idle firekin was not a good firekin though, at least in his own beliefs. He would need to find something to do, but what?
