The only movies I got jazzed about this year were Chronicle, Prometheus, and The Hobbit.
I've yet to see it, but Chronicle spiked an intense interest in Akira, after after hearing people compare the two. The last two? I'm an Alien & LOTR fan.
Also, Moonrise Kingdom.

The only movies I care about seeing this summer is Dark Shadows and Rock Of Ages. I was supposed to have seen Dark Shadows already, but my health keeps getting in the way of that. I hate my body. emo

Centipedes In Utero The only movies I got jazzed about this year were Chronicle, Prometheus, and The Hobbit.

Also, Moonrise Kingdom. I liked Chronicle, I just really hate the camera style it was shot in.
