I thought that since I'm busy procrastinating (from both writing and from work razz ), that I'd start this thread. I figure that if you're in the distraction forum, like I am right now, then you're probably not currently writing.
For me, it's because I'm in my lab, finishing up my last hour of work. After that, it's probably going to be because I'm busy running errands and trying to clean up my room (I'm not very good at picking up after myself during the work week).
So.... Why aren't you writing right now?

I am one more gaming session away from finishing Mass Effect 3. My friend just got me hooked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My other friend introduced me to Blake's 7. I started reading Game of Thrones. I have work...Work is a flimsy excuse. D&D has taken up more hours in the past three days than I am scheduled to work this week...
I have too many excuses, really. I have to commit.

So far this morning, I've done laundry, washed and dried two sinks full of dishes, made waffles, made zucchini bread, and made chocolate zucchini muffins. No writing, but lots of baking and housework!

I'm watching anime and writing fanfictions-which I'm not counting for SuWriMos, so I really shouldn't be writing them, but I woke up to an inbox of lovely reviews and a new beta. How could I resist? Otherwise, I have anime to watch lolz. And drawing to work on. And homework to do-haven't started that yet. I need to buy the book first lolz. I should be practicing for color guard as well. Let's just say writing's not the only thing I'm procrastinating. As for why: I'm forcing myself to do character charts since I think it would help, but then I get stuck as I haven't gotten that far yet. crying

Haha, Mass Effect. You have been beaten. That's one major distraction down.

People. People. People. stare
If I'm not constantly badgered by the guy who thought I was "perfect" and am now horrible, it's the guy who thinks he likes me but keeps backing out of plans.
Then there are my friends who I make time for.
But then there is my family that make me make time for them.
And then finding a job in this town is, indeed, a full time job in and of itself. I can't remember half of the people I met just today because I went to so many places.
So yeah. It's people's fault... emotion_donotwant But also my cats' cat_rofl cat_blaugh

mine is work (20-30 hrs a week) and my three month old baby (well...2months and three weeks, even worse...)
I feed her, change her, play with her, get her to sleep, play a video game for a few minutes to mellow...and then it's time to feed her again... emotion_eyebrow
But she's *my* baby and I wouldn't have it any other way, not for all the stories in the world heart
I would like a few hours of sleep though baby....

For me, it's the fact that I have to go to work in a few minutes (and I'm not even fully dressed yet, lol), and I have a date after work, so I won't be back to the house until pretty late.

Sandra Argentium voice of the meadow For me, it's the fact that I have to go to work in a few minutes (and I'm not even fully dressed yet, lol), and I have a date after work, so I won't be back to the house until pretty late. Obligatory immature "Oooooh~" Hahahahaha. Although really the "being back late" part is just because my cabin is like 40 minutes away from any signs of civilization. But he took me to see Star Trek and kissed me good night, so it was an enjoyable evening of not writing. And I have a whole 55 minutes until midnight. I can write a bit before then, right?

Glad you had a good time, Meadow. Boy oh boy would Star Trek have been an awful date movie for me, though. At least the first time I saw it. I was practically on the floor of the theater and I think the lady next to me thought I was having a fit.
Yesterday I got exactly ten words written. I had a doctor's appointment in the morning, then my mother took me shopping, and afterward I went down to the college expecting to find a quiet corner to write in. But people always find you.

PMS: It certainly was an enjoyable reason not to be writing.
Sandra Argentium: Yeah, it probably wouldn't have been god if it had been my first viewing of Star Trek. Luckily, I'd already seen it, so my initial spazzing was over haha.
