Avari frowned, her eyes staring up at the descending sun through the cover of the trees she laid beside. It had been all day since Eckar had left to do whatever he needed and she began to feel the creep of anxiety under her skin. There had never been a time frame for his return discussed, but surely this was too long. Brows pulling together she dropped her gaze to go a sweep of the forest around her hoping to see a sign of the dark terrorcorn in the distance, but the developing shadows in the area made it hard to spot him if he was around. Letting out a quiet sigh she returned her gaze to the sky to watch the time pass. He was smart, he wouldn't fall into a human trap, but the thought he was stuck somewhere wouldn't leave her mind. She'll give him a little longer before searching..

She had heard his steps before he had called out to her and quickly rose from her position, ears poised as she looked around for him. It wasn't until he'd spoke her name that she caught sight of him calling out for her to join him. Smile gracing her maw, Avari quietly made her way over to him eyeing the basket in his mouth curiously before she lifted her eyes to his. "Eckar." She sighed in relief as she neared, and stepped forward to nose his neck lightly in soft affection. "A surprise?" Avari questioned pulling her head back to look down at the basket. "Is this why you were gone for half the day? What is it?" She smiled as she spoke.
