Anywhere but here. Anywhere but here. Anywhere but here.
Maybe she could just keep running and running and the hurt would fade away. Her chest wouldn’t feel as tight and she wouldn’t feel like a complete and utter failure. Hel tore her way down the stairs three to even four at a time. At the last landing she couldn’t even be bothered so she leapt over the railing and landed with a loud clang. The ghoul tore through the common room and barreled right through the door…
But right into someone as well.
The ghoul let out a surprised cry, shaking her head as she stumbled.
“So…sorry…” She wasn’t even going to bother with seeing who she ran into, as she was already making her way down the front stairs.

Now, ever since Shun lost his eye, he had been a bit clumsier than usual. Bumping into things more often and whatnot. However the collision that occurred while he was about to enter the Reaper dorms was not attributed to that in the slightest. No, someone had just barreled right into him, knocking him over as a result.
"Kussoooo...." he hissed after he hit the ground. Ah that stung a bit. Hearing Hel's voice, he sat up, and glared right at the Valkyrie.
"Where the hell are you going in a rush?" he asked, not sounding particularly happy. She just knocked him over right now after all. She should really watch where the hell she was going!

Oddly, Hel did not stop, but she did slow down to look back after she recognized Shun’s voice.
“…Sor…Sorry…!” She called out again, her voice cracking. “Just…anywhere but here, alright!?” Then she kept right on going. The further from the reaper dorms right now, the better.

Ok. Something was not right. Shun frowned as he heard her voice cracking before keeping on running. What the ******** happened? The dorm didn't look like it was on fire or anything like that. And so he disappeared into some shadowy wisps, aiming to quickly cut off the Valkyrie.
It. Well. His aim was a bit off. Aside from still training himself, Hel was a moving target.
When he reappeared, he more or less just ended up colliding with her. Again.
And so he also swore once more, though a bit more sharply this time around.

Kept on going she did…until she ran into something or someone again.
This time, the collision threw Hel right off of her feet, and the valkyrie landed on her back with a loud ‘OOF!’ She made no sudden movements to get up, and instead her chest just rapidly rose up and down and she seemed to be hyperventilating. It hurt. A lot. She buried her face in her hands and tried to take in a deep breath, anything to relieve the tightness in her chest.

he hissed. Shun had landed harder that time around and most likely he ended up scraping something. Or just got a large bruise. Either or. Grumbling to himself, he pushed himself up to a sitting position in the least noting that Hel wasn't getting up. Instead, she was laying there with her face in her hands, breathing really heavily. Practically hyperventilating. The first thought was that she had been injured badly, but that didn't add up. She wasn't clutching anywhere. Just.. covering her face.
Rubbing his elbow gingerly, he shifted himself over and looked over the Valkyrie. No. There were no physical injures as far as he could see. But pain was rather evident.
It also wasn't every day that he'd see Hel in this sort of state. In fact, he didn't recall seeing this ever.
Letting out a sigh, he started to get up to his feet, but not before grabbing onto her arm to try and pull her up as well.
"Come on. Let's walk."

Hel was still for a moment before under Shun’s urging, she started to clumsily push herself up as well. Shun’s first statement more or less hit the nail on the head, but his next statement was whole heartedly welcomed. Walking sounded good. Just needed to get as far away from there as possible.
The ghoul lowered her hands, and luckily, for the time being, she hadn’t burst into tears yet. Crying was something Hel never, ever liked to do, even when she was in a lot of pain. Her expression was just…down. Crestfallen, sorrowful as she stared down at the path once she was back on her feet. She nodded her head a bit, waiting for Shun to get back on his feet before she started to walk, shoulders slumped.

Once they were up, Shun dusted himself off and rubbed his elbow once more. There was a dull ache there so he figured he had landed on that during one of the two falls. Shaking off some of the pain, he just stuffed his hands into his pockets and moved along with the Valkyrie. He didn't say anything yet, as he was observing how she was walking. Yes, this was not the Hel he was familiar with. Her posture was slumped down and the expression upon her face spoke much.
There were few individuals in which this reaper would really care that this was happening. Hell, if it had been just about anyone else that resided int he reaper dorms, he probably would have just cursed at them and moved on his way at the first collision. It wasn't within his nature to reach out to most.
And so he walked along silently, waiting to see if she would speak on her own account. He didn't bother asking if something was wrong. Obviously, there was.

Hel didn’t speak up until they were past the Amityville gates.
“…It is over.” She muttered, still staring down at the ground, and instead of heading towards town, was heading in the direction of some woods with a nearby lake. “He makes me sad being him…and I…I upset him being myself.” Hel used the words he had used.

Shun let Hel lead the way, having not much of an idea where she wanted to go right now. And sure enough, she was bringing them towards the woods rather than the town itself. It was fine enough with him. The woods were quieter. More secluded.
When she finally began to speak, the reaper listened carefully, but her words were a little cryptic. However, she was referring some male. He could get an idea of what happened with a slight idea of why it did. It didn't quite sound like the same case of what happened to Lizzy and Mac awhile back.
"You clash," he said quietly, trying to see if he was understanding this correctly.

The reaper hopped off the side walk and started in towards a trail at the forest’s edge.
A small, dry chuckle escaped her lips. “…That is it in a nut shell, friend.” She murmured bitterly. “We clash. Too much…too badly…this clash broke the mini’s back.” She didn’t know what else to say at the moment…but this was Shun…he didn’t care to hear a lot of words, and for that she was thankful. Hel stepped over some roots along the way as she went down the path, and caught some here and there, stumbling.

It sounded like they had been fighting quite a bit. Shun was no expert on love or relationships, but he could only imagine the strain should he and Mitsu seriously butt heads often. In fact, that sounded like it would be pretty damn stressful. Thinking this over, he carefully made his way through the trail, not wanting to trip over anything.
"So then you both decided this?" he asked.

“…I…I said…sometimes I thought it might be a good idea…he said we should and…ya…I agreed. He agreed...” Hel replied, stepping over a large rock.
The reaper came out of the forest and to the shore of the lake, where she paused at the water’s edge and just looked out over it with a heavy sigh, her shoulders slumping. She bit her lip and stared up at the sky now, just standing there. “Shun…” The ghoul murmured, tilting her head down to look at her reflection in the water now. “…I want to be anyone else but me right now.”

Hrm... Shun wasn't entirely certain what to make of this situation. It wasn't like the one Lizzy and Mac were in. Not quite. Frowning, he paused a few steps away from the water's edge. He didn't want to accidentally fall in or anything. Granted, the shore should be safe for him to stand at. Should.
Letting out a breath, he stood behind her, peering into the reflecting.
"So you would rather be a cowardly and backstabbing mouse instead of a proud warrior?"

Hel wasn’t really…expecting any words or advice. There was no way to fix this situation…in terms of a break up; it was probably one of the more ‘smooth’ ones. Still. That thought didn’t make it feel any better.
The reaper paused at Shun’s words though, and cast a bit of a wide eyed look at him. Now, to Shun, those words probably didn’t seem like it…but they were nice. Shun thought she was a proud warrior, and that meant the world to her, for him to have such a high opinion of her. So whether he intended for it to or not…she smiled briefly before it faded.
“Oh…no…no…never that. I always want to be a proud warrior…just…a proud warrior who is not me. A proud warrior who…does not upset Mot.”
