Ami would, as promised, recieve a text exactly the next morning from Allan.

TEXT FROM ALLAN

^_________^ OHAYO AMI-CHAN. ARE YOU READY TO GENKI? LET'S DO A MISSION TOGETHER!! ~ :0: o :0: ~ MEET ME AT THE TRAINING FIELDS, BRING SOME NAKAMA TOO!

OOC
Ami can bring up to three others with her on this small transfer mission. Just have them post arriving at the training fields as well!

Mission? Well he seemed ... sort of too happy. Maybe it was going to be an easy mission? Yeahhh ...

Allan's messages always had her googling. Genki was an era. Was she ready to ... go back in time? What did that even mean? Could hunter technology even take them that-

This was a stupid line of thinking. Doing a mission together- that was understandable. Training fields? Check. Bring some Nakama. Well it was either some friends/comrades or a city ... Ami assumed he meant friends, but to be fair, this was Deus. Allan could've easily been asking for a city.

syusaki
Allan is ... asking me to go on a mission. He wants me to bring three friends ... peers? I'm not really sure. What's a Genki? Anyways, training fields?

istoleyurvamps
Allan wants to do a mission, and I need help. Training fields?

lividpeas
Allan wants to go on a mission. You should probably know your leader d: Training fields?

Ami herself showed up at the fields right after receiving the text. Hopefully they'd show up soon. It would reflect poorly on her if she didn't bring everyone on time.

By now, Wilson had made himself comfortable in Gale’s home (plus an Eva). There had certainly been a heated (???) conversation about who would take the extra room and who would take the couch, but eventually he won in the end. Legs crossed and leaning into the couch, Wilson fiddled with his Rubik’s Cube, one of the few things that hadn’t been waterlogged when he finally checked on his dorm. He sort of wished he had a book or something more interesting. Video games would have been preferable, but alas. His phone rang and Wilson tossed the cube to the side, letting it quietly clatter to the floor because that cube was damn sturdy.

He opened the new message and the first thing he did was frown at the mention of Allan.

Allan.

Allan was nice and he meant well, but the man was odd. However, if coming to the training field meant he could help Ami with this mission, he would gladly oblige. The trainee began to walk backwards, calling out to Gale and Eva. “I’ll be back later!” He hopped down the stairs (still backwards??!) and began to text Ami a message back.

“Genki isn’t a noun. It’s more of an adjective! It’s supposed to mean energetic or healthy.” Thank you otaku friend from college. Wilson was still walking backwards when he entered the training fields, but as soon as he spotted Ami he turned around and waved. “Hey!”

The moon trainee arrived quickly enough, texting Ami back that he was on his way. With the note that it was Allan who was running the mission, Marcus took a small detour to pick up some runic bandages. If the sun lead was involved... yeah, no chances to be taken thank you.

Arriving at the field he gave Ami and Wilson a small wave. "Anyone else coming?" So they had two moons and a death so far. Not a bad team really.

Kat lay sprawled across her bed when she received the text. Not willing to move quite yet, she lazily reached over for the phone, but ended up knocking the damned thing off the table and down onto the floor. "Oh for--" Growing irritated by the constant buzzing, she finally pushed away from the bed and went in search of the phone.

Flipping it open, she found that the text was from Ami, and that she had invited her on a mission. And Allan was going to be there as well? Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she punched in a quick reply, letting her know she would be there soon. After she grabbed a large cup of coffee along the way.

Dragging herself along, she was more awake now, thanks to chugging the coffee down as she walked over to the training fields. She was a bit nervous as to what this mission would involve..hopefully nothing as crazy as the training Ami and the others had endured..Kat would die!

Finally arriving, she swallowed the last of her coffee and waved to the others who had already arrived. "Sorry I'm late."

And there, like a bolt from the blue, was the Sun Division leader, doing the strange art of practicing on the training field. There was nothing wrong with practicing, especially among the higher ranked Hunters, in order to keep their skills sharp and improve coordination with their weapon-

-But most trainees that had been around Deus Ex for a while probably did not remember large craters plaguing half the expanse of the training field. The target dummies were also, for lack of a better word, entirely blasted away

"Trainee-tachi!" Allan quickly de-summoned his weapon, refastening the bandages wrapped around both hands as he ran towards them - jumping enthusiastically over two large craters on the way. "Just in time!"

Hopefully, he did not mean just in time to become practice dummies because that sounded extremely painful and possibly more painful. The Sun lead walked over to his duffle bag and pulled out-

-Four passes, on a string. They clearly wrote on them "SUNDAY OTAKU" with a picture of some strange cartoon girl smiling on them. Allan had also taken the liberty to write their names for them on each tag, and as he passed them to the trainees, apparently Ami's name was Kawaii, Wilson Moe, Marcus Yaoi, and Kat Pikachu

"Okay, so mission information stuff," One could practically see Allan's eyes glint with determination," You trainee-tachi are going in disguise, as secretly as possible to find me four items of power. But first!" He reached into his bag-

Of course there were costumes.

OOC

-You can choose for your trainee any costume from cosplay.com, or any anime-themed costume. Once your trainee puts it on they are in disguise. The next part of the mission will begin shortly

Ami put her pass around her neck as a way to safeguard it. Kawaii? Who the ******** was named Kawaii? Then again, some people had weird names. Maybe it was part of the disguise? It must've just been a name like "Susan" or "Tina" but for Japan. Yeah that probably it.

She couldn't decide between a really pretty pink dress or a strange sort of uniform, but in the end the uniform won out. The heels that went with the pink dress just looked sort of annoying. Not to mention it came with a shield, and Ami wasn't a big fan of shields. They were hard to use. Plus the uniform would "blend in" more. Wasn't he talking about some sort of stealth mission?

Ami changed in a matter of seconds behind a training wall that wasn't destroyed, and changed into her outfit. Her braid kept snagging on the little buttons, so she took it down, letting all of her strawberry blonde hair down. There that was much better. She felt awkward and incredibly stupid, but if Allan said jump, she'd ask how high.

"Ah ... is this good?" she asked the general group.

Wilson smiled and waved to Kat and Marcus. “Hey! No problem Kat, Allan hasn’t brief—“ He took another look around the training field. T-There were craters everywhere. Then he remembered how easily Allan threw people around and he took a tiny step away from the Sun division leader. Just in time? Hopefully not training dummies—wait there were passes in his hands. Wilson reached out to take one and eyed it. “Moe?” That didn’t sound like an appropriate nickname for a guy at all. Actually when he thought about it and with his (incomplete) definition of moe it sounded kind of creepy. Oh well. He put the pass around his neck anyways.

The trainee threw Allan a look. What kind of powerful items required costumes? Errr he was going to skip that part then. He looked at the costumes, his eyes lighting up with vague recognition at one in particular and reached for it. Once upon a time someone had told him to cosplay it. Except he didn’t really watch anime or read manga. What was this from again? Black Butler?

Something like that.

As he buttoned his coat, Wilson turned toward Ami and grinned. “Looks really cute.”

Allan was going to kill them all. Looking at the sun lead's damage to the training field, Marcus the send of dread creeped up upon him when Dis casually mentioned the horror stories Marcus had heard. Allan was like Julie. Prone to ruining all forms of self respect.

Still not knowing what tachi meant, Marcus assumed 'b***h' and listened to the sun lead's 'mission'. The yaoi made him visibly flinch. He knew what that meant now. He didn't like it, even if Dis did. Costumes set out, Marcus flinched again. They were probably like the headbands. Going to ******** him up. Still you couldn't really say no to a division lead.

Shuffling through the costumes, he checked sizes again and again only to see that yes, too small. When he did find an outfit that worked? "The ******** is this?"
I like.
Of course you would.

The outfit reminded Marcus of some kind of gay anime thing he'd seen once.

Once he put it on? "I feel ridiculous."
Your skin and hair don't match the costume.
Does it look like I care?

Small bonus, Allan wasn't making him spoon Wilson.
Yet.

Kat's shoulder sagged a little as she was handed her own pass. Somehow, she was sure she wasn't going to like this..and-- "Pikachu..?" The sun hunter groaned inwardly as she hung the name tag around her neck. What exactly was Otaku anyways?

As if things couldn't get worse than the name tags..now they had to suffer this as well? Cosplay? She had never cosplayed before in her life!

Oh gawd..if anyone sees me in this..

Now..she didn't hate pokemon, but she sure didn't want to dress up as one, especially when she would be out in public like this. Suddenly, she wished she was doing the training instead.

Once changed into her costume, Kat folded her arms and re-joined the group. "Please kill me now."

(( ahaha sorry, just ended up doodling one instead OTL ))

Ami tried to hide her satisfaction in seeing Wilson in a suit, but Marcus earned an open guffaw. Damn they looked nice. Kat too! She was adorable in that little pikachu costume! Yeah, Ami at least knew pikachu. How could you not?

At Wilson's comment, Ami looked over at Marcus, completing trying to ignore it, but a crimson color on her face giving her away. "Th-The suit looks great on you Marcus! Cass will like what she sees when the big day comes." She smiled. Marcus and Cass' wedding was going to be great!

Noticing Kat's discomfort, she said, "It looks okay Kat- there's no need to get angry!" She smiled and said, "Besides, it's better than what I picked out!"

When Wilson turned to see what costume Marcus had put on, he chuckled. “Really? I think you look pretty good in it, and looks like we match!” Something told Wilson that Marcus’ costume was missing something and he looked around for a picture. “Oh! Marcus, you’re missing some glasses, hold on.” The man looked more amused than he should have been when he placed a pair of thin-framed spectacles on the moon trainee.

He smirked at Kat. “Nice choice of costume. Now you match your tag name,” Wilson noted as he pointed to the pass around Kat’s neck.

Ami and Wilson made him smile even if he didn't agree. He had his suit fitted and whatnot, and just- costumes. He couldn't take them seriously. "thanks but really." He sighed. Taking the glasses, the trainee put them on, pulled them off, then put them on again.

"....Are there ones without making my vision all ******** up?"

Allan seemed pleased, as per usual, to see all the trainees dressed so appropriately for the occasion. However, oddly enough, the eccentric Sun lead did not change his outfit but simple remained wearing his usual attire: maybe he just wanted to encourage genki in the trainees, whatever that meant.

"Okay," Elaborated the Sun lead, "You need to act very, very carefully in this mission like a ninja. A ninja nakama. Something has happened recently in the civilian world that is a big big no-no, and we need to use our chikara and kokoro to stop it before it is too late! Do you think you can do it, trainee-tachi?"

It didn't help that Allan kept on stooping down to talk to them as if they were five year olds.

However, a second later, he was ushering them all into the portal, telling them to be careful, meet up at the same spot, check their cell phones and, grab those items and-

- The stench of barely showered, sweaty bodies followed by the assault of moving colours everywhere overwhelmed the trainees for a second. It took them a second longer to realize that the moving colours were actually bodies, bodies covered head to toe in cheap flimsy fabrics, bodies that were very much alive, breathing, and smelling of rancid sweat and urine.

It was absolutely disgusting and overwhelming. Several of them were shouting something about a trailer show time - they appeared to have stumbled into a line-up of some sort down a narrow hallway-

- And a second later, the line-up was moving, the trainees forcefully shoved forward, into furry tails, sweaty fabric, and the occasional bulge of fat that was definitely not DD bosom material. Fortunately up ahead were chairs, in what seemed like a large auditorium.

The screen in front of then reconfirmed the obvious. They were watching a movie showing? Actually, the bright gold banner reclarified that they were watching a movie special edition exclusive never seen before trailer. Apparently for some movie called-

-The lights went off as the whole crowd cheered. A clip started playing, displaying the Universal Studio and Lions Gate logos: it was almost incredible how normal everything was really.

"They live amongst us." The trailer continued to blare, panning to a nice view of a tropical ocean. "They hide amongst us, sworn to secrecy for centuries." There was a sudden scene change to some panoramic views of ancient ruins, including shots of the pyramids of Giza and the Parthenon, like any Hollywood movie. "But how much do you really know about them"

An action shot, a large CG monster screeching at the screen, raising its wings wide. Regular people were running and screaming all directions when suddenly from the crowd-

-Emerged several figures in white and gold coats and glowing weapons. The rest was pretty much a train wreck in itself as the figures wearing very familiar white and gold coats with glowing weapons all being represented by famous actors did a few pretty amazing aerial techniques and flashily slayed the creature, landing dramatically as the camera zoomed in to their perfect actor and actress faces. "Some may know them as silent saviors, but we call them-"

Another zoom in to one of the actor's flawless face-

-"The Hunters, the divine hand of God."

A moment of silence and then the entire room burst into excited cheers and babbles as the movie screen faded to black and promised 'Coming Soon.'

Two full minutes later, the trainees would all receive a text:

TEXT FROM ALLAN

Trainee-tachi, do Allan-taichou proud!! You need to take the item of power before it's too late! Ganbatte!! Allan-taichou trusts you to fix this problem!

A second text showed the photo of the "item of power", the film projector and accompanying trailer piece.

For the record, any sort of public release about Hunters was generally a very, very bad idea. Thankfully it seemed the film projection room wasn't far, if they could only make it past the sea of bodies.

Ami was absolutely horrified by the smell, the sight ... She liked movie theaters, she did, but this? This was just murder to the senses. Bright colors, sweaty bodies- NO THANK YOU.

"Ewww ew ew ew," she whispered to Kat, shaking her head.

It hadn't even dawned on her to look up at the screen until now. Why would the leaders allow a movie to be shown in the civilian world? She could never see any of them approving this- not even Allan, as happy-go-lucky as he was. They'd never let people view hunters- not this closely. "How can we take it down..." Options options. There was also the problem of GETTING to the projector. How could they do this without-

Okay calm. Think. They could take the projector out without too much fuss. It might be risky- surely there was someone running it who would have to be dealt with. The trailer piece was probably sitting up there- it would be easy once the projector was taken. Game plan, that's what they needed. She spoke quickly, her thoughts not really connecting to each other, but having enough direction behind them to carry it. "We should head for the projector first- take out the movie as soon as possible. The trailer can wait." She looked over at Wilson and said, "Wilson, go scout up around the booth and look for the best way to get into the booth. Kat, once we're in you can take out ... immobilize the person guarding it. Marcus and I will come in from behind and turn the projector off. Marcus, since you're biggest you'll probably have to carry it back- can you handle it?" She rubbed the bridge of her nose realizing she was talking too much. "That's the only way I can think to do it."

Was this awkward for her to give commands? She was so used to Marcus telling her what to do, who to guard, who to block. She just hoped this would work.

In the back of her mind she was wondering why they were dressed up for this, but that was an entirely different path to go down.
