For years now, a user called mamarita has been asking developers and even working with them on ways to improve guilds and unfortunately, nothing was put into action. Since then, there have been questions like "when will guilds receive an update?" Or, "why haven't guilds been updated in such a long time?" Those questions have mostly been asked in ATA (ask the admins) meetings every Monday and most of the time ignored.
However, I propose this:
We come up with a list of clean and organized proposals that will benefit not just guilds, but Gaia as a whole. Guilds was a huge part of Gaia before and now it's dying out due to the lack of updates it receives. Every week TGGM holds a meeting in a thread or towns and we ask for new ideas that will benefit guilds. We will have these meetings until we have a list chuck full of ideas and then we post them anywhere and everywhere -- just don't break the rules! Post in places like Site Feedback, or Ask the Admins or the Guilds Forum on Gaia. However, don't go around spamming forums because that WILL NOT help our cause. It will most likely damage it if anything.

I like the idea. That's what I was thinking we would could do at the meet-ups is discuss new ideas and our movements progress.

This is exactly what the movement needs. Thank you.
I'll start organizing a list here soon.
To help with this we should try doing more with our meetings than protest. We should hold open discussions about why we love our guilds and things that can be done to improve them. A Gaia Guild Network Town Hall rather than a single guild protest.
In fact 'protest' should probably not be done at this time. Once we have more people and have been around a while longer doing things the right way then we can start protesting but for right now we need to focus on organizing.
Gathering this list is the first step in that process.
The second step is affiliating with large, old, active, and wholesome guilds. We really need to be careful about our affiliates as having even one gray one will make the mods and other Gaians wary of us.
