The noised that had been coming from room ten during the night had grown increasingly disturbing. Sure, random and shouts and screams were common in the attic area where the boggart rattled his chains, but the floors beneath were mostly soundproofed. So, when Fiore had been getting complaints of sleepless, terrified nights from some of the tenants, he knew he had to do something. He was just scared to death to even knock on the door though. He'd only seen the occupant of room ten only once and that was when the hellhound arrived. Fiore wasn't even sure if the male ate anything, especially considered he never saw him for meals.
Taking a deep breath, the unicorn marched up the creepy steps of the house and up to the second flood. The long hallway of rooms stretched before him and he could seen the room in question easily. The door was closed, of course, and Fiore didn't anticipate it opening, even if he knock. Sucking in another breath, he started his journey, nodding and smiling to the other whose doors were open. Once he made it to room ten, he stared at the letters on the door that spelled out "Lucas."
"I'm the landlord here," Fiore muttered to himself bravely, though his ears were flat. "It's my job to make sure everyone is safe and happy." He ended up gulping though as he raised his hand to rap smartly on the door a few times. Now, he would wait and hopefully not allow himself to dash away like he wanted to.

Lucas had just caught the glimpse of the fluffy pink tail he had seen once before wandering up the steps to the second floor. Thinking that the unicorn was only heading to his own room, Lucas didn't pay much attention to the other plush. Only when he heard a few knocks and the declaration of status did it peak his interest. Upon walking closer, he saw the pink unicorn standing outside of a familiar door. Lucas' door.
"Hello." Lucas said as he approached the other from behind. "What brings you to my room, tonight?" He dropped the question without any hesitation after his greeting. If Lucas had remembered correctly, the landlord's name was Fiore? It would be quite embarrassing to call the landlord by the wrong name. In his defense, he had only met the landlord once when moving in. With Lucas' bad schedule of leaving his room it was hard to run into anyone at all despite the number of tenants in the building.
"Would you care to come in?" Lucas took a few more steps closer to the door, pulling at the key that hung around his neck with one of his paws.

The voice that suddenly sounded behind him startled Fiore so badly that his plush fur fluffed out and he jumped nearly a mile in the air. He whirled around to face the voice and was surprised to see it was the very person he'd come to see.
"Lucas," he cried, not bothering to hide the surprise in his voice. "I wasn't expecting you to...uh, be out and about." As he spoke, Fiore's tail curled discreetly around one back leg, despite the fact that he met Lucas' gaze head on. "And I love to come in if you have a moment. I need to speak with you about something and I doubt it would be wise to air our conversation out in the hallway." The term "the walls have ears" applied heavily in the house. Outside of a personal room, anything said was game to be taken.
Patiently, Fiore waited for Lucas to unlock the door so that he could follow the hellhound in. Hopefully the male wouldn't be too upset or anything since Fiore had no idea what to expect.

Lucas let out a chuckle as the unicorn seemed to jump out of his skin. It would be a lie to say that Lucas didn't find the unicorn cute and amusing to watch. "It's true, most times I am in my room. You caught me at an unordinary time today."
He slid the key into the doorknob and turned it with the same paw. "Please, make yourself at home." He pushed the door open, allowing for the unicorn to go in first. The wooden door opened easily, stopping before it hit the dry wall inside. Dents were the last thing that Lucas wanted in the walls of his room, especially if he were to live here for long.
"Please excuse the mess, I wasn't expecting guests." He said, though the room had so few things that it couldn't have possibly been disorganized. The room looked like it was stripped bare with only a bed in the corner and a small television that sat on the floor. Everything else was hidden, perhaps in the closet to the side of the room. It seemed spacious enough, but it was only an illusion caused from the lack of stuff that Lucas owned.

Fiore nodded in agreement as he followed Lucas in, only to stop at the bareness of the room. He squinted at the pain walls and the even plainer bed. "You sure didn't do much with this room," he blurted before he could stop himself. "I-I mean it's a nice room. You've been comfortable, haven't you? The room is actually something I need to talk to you about." Fiore wanted to get down to business. No use in disturbing Lucas any more than necessary. Though, at the state of the room, Fiore wondered if Lucas needed a few more friends in his life.
"Anyways, I've been getting complaints from your neighbors recently about some strange noises coming from your room at night." As he spoke, Fiore went to the nearby window, looking out over the garden below. "You know you're allowed to have pets, right? You don't have to hide it in here or anything." Not that Fiore thought the problem was something as benign as a pet poodle or something. It couldn't hurt to ask though, that was for sure.

After the two were safely in, Lucas locked the door and slid the chain lock on. "Im a minimalist." He said, though it was only because had neither the funds to purchase more things nor any attachment to any other kinds of furniture. Who would have guessed that things in the human world costed so much? "But yes, it has been quite nice. Though I haven't noticed any noises at all. What did these noises sound like? I may have to pay closer attention to catch them." Lucas took a seat on the end of his bed, pushing the large down feather blanket near the wall, revealing more of the mattress for Fiore to take a seat if he so wished to.
Lucas raised an eyebrow at Fiore's proposal. "I assure you I do not have that kind of companionship." He stated. He could barely feed himself let alone another pleading mouth.

Fiore watched nervously as Lucas bolted the door. Okay, that was little weird. Was the male afraid of someone busting into his room? Trying desperately not to fidget, Fiore declined the offer of sitting on the bed (the bed!) and remained standing. Was Lucas struggling that much? Did he know that he, Fiore, as well as Lamentes and many others were here to help ease the way? The hellhound certainly didn't have to do things alone and if this conversation went well, Fiore hoped to help the other further.
"The noises were shouting or something. Just a loud sound," Fiore replied with a shrug. "And I figured you didn't have a pet. Couldn't hurt to ask though." Nervously he bit his lip looking away for a second before facing Lucas again. "Are you doing alright, Lucas? You know I'm here to help, right?"

"That's very peculiar." Lucas thought aloud. He placed a paw on his jaw. "I don't think I've heard anything of the sort." His nights were calm as can be, perhaps with a little bit of television or radio to soothe the quiet that the room seemed to produce. "I'll keep my television very low, then." He said, considering it one of the possibilities of the noise. Sometimes if he fell asleep with the television or radio on, it could have been something from a horror movie.
The question felt like a bomb being dropped. Was he okay? Was his minky torn somewhere and he didn't notice it? "What makes you say that?" He asked, not actually answering Fiore's question. Lucas placed one paw above the other, laying his plush body across the width of the end of the bed while still looking Fiore in the eyes. The unicorn seemed sincere enough. But then again, to Lucas, Fiore didn't seem like the kind of person who could lie through their teeth easily.

"I don't think it was your television," Fiore replied with a shrug. He honestly didn't know what it could have been, but the others were concerned enough about the noise that he was sure that it wasn't just from some movie or something. A person could usually tell if it was the t.v or something.
Honestly, Fiore was more concerned with his second question. He didn't miss Lucas' surprised look. "Why do I ask? Because I hardly ever see you, Lucas. No one else has either. Your room is completely bare and you never seem to be around for meals. I know I said the pantry is open to anyone at any time, but are you even eating properly?" At this point, Fiore had moved closer to the hellhound, despite his earlier trepidations. He plopped himself on the bed to peer at Lucas curiously.
"Oh! I have an idea. How about I sleep over tonight? Then I can make sure it really is your television and not something entirely different. This house is a bit haunted you know. I have to make sure nothing scary is hanging around where its not supposed to."

Lucas moved further down the bed as Fiore placed himself down. "I don't particularly have a set schedule for eating. I catch the night owls more often than not." He replied. He had been down to the pantry a few times to have his meals, but it really hasn't been that long since he moved in. He was the newest tenant (or at least, he hasn't seen any others who have moved in after he did). "You needn't worry about me so much, though I am glad you do." Lucas reassured Fiore with a small smile, something that he hadn't done since he came to the boarding house. There was no real reason to smile for anyone if you never saw them.
"If it will calm you, I will try to go to meals from now on." Lucas said with a nod. If it means getting the unicorn off of his case, he'd try his best. And he should get to know some of the other tenants at any rate.
Lucas used a paw to cover stifle a cough at Fiore's proposal as well as his statement about the house being haunted. "Ghosts, you say?" He managed to make out behind a chuckle. "Well, if you insist, you can stay over tonight. Feel free to make yourself at home." Lucas said before pulling the blanket from behind Fiore with his mouth and placed it over half of Fiore's body.
"It gets quite chilly at night."

"You should be eating normally," Fiore chided, growing more bold as his tail swished from side to side. "And it's not about assuring me, you just have to be hea--" He stopped mid sentence and squeaked as the blanket was draped on him. He wiggled beneath the blanket before he shot out of it and pounced on Lucas.
"Yes, ghosts," he cried. "Big scary ones that live in the attic and the basement." Fiore had dropped his tone down low to sound more creepy as he lay atop Lucas. "They come out and scare people at night. Are you sure you're not being haunted, Lucas?" He tugged on the male's ear teasingly with a light n** before he jumped from the bed. "I'll be right back, hang on."
Fiore darted from the room (the door magically opening for him despite it being locked) and came back a moment later with a small back in his mouth. The door was closed and very obviously locked once again. He dropped the back onto the bed, miniature items that looked like they belonged in a dollhouse rolled out of it.
"Here, I have presents for you. It's to make your room look nice." There seemed to be a bed frame done in miniature as well as blankets and wall hangs and a number of other items. Of course, Lucas didn't have to take anything, but darned if Fiore wasn't going to try and help the male give his room more life.

Lucas' ears pressed against his head and he let out the air in his lungs as the unicorn pounced on him. "Get off of me. And yes, I am sure that I am not being haunted." His tone of voice didn't change at all even after the embrace. His eyes just narrowed at Fiore while listening to the story. "I'm sure you'd be enough to scare them all away especially with that scary voice of yours" Lucas said referencing Fiore's lowered voice, though it wasn't really creating a mood for Lucas at all. He tried to wiggle his body out from under Fiore, but before he knew it, the unicorn was prancing (no pun intended) around and then left the room.
Lucas picked himself up and fluffed out his fur that was now flat against his back. The unicorn vanished and as quickly as his tail left the door, his head popped right back in with stuff. Stuff that made the room feel homelier, but clutter nonetheless. "What's all this?" Lucas asked as he trotted closer to the pile of stuff on the ground. He placed a paw on the miniature bed frame, wondering what good it would ever come to.

"It's a present for you," Fiore pressed, pushing some of the items towards Lucas. "I got a bunch of stuff from Pelagius. If you like something, it'll get bigger and you can use it like normal. I'm not really sure how it works though." He shrugged, again nudging the stuff around and setting them into neat piles of like objects.
"What do you do during the day Lucas?" Fiore asked curiously, plopping himself down again as he looked at the hellhound expectantly, though didn't press on the subject of the miniature items.. Sure, the unicorn was a bit nosy, but he couldn't help it. The male was so foreign to him and coupled with the fact that Lucas was so mysterious, it made things impossible for Fiore to investigate.

"This is quite curious indeed. Do they shrink back, I wonder?" He said as he played with the tiny things. "But I needn't any of this. Thank you, though." He said as he placed the one he had under his paw back towards Fiore. He placed his behind down near to where Fiore had placed himself down.
"I do daily chores?" Lucas said with the raise of an eyebrow and a small turn of his head. "Just walking around town and finding a job to live day to day." He made it sound worse than it actually was. Though not many places are keen to hire a fae who was still bound to their plush form. "What do you do in your daily life?" Lucas tried to push the focus onto Fiore because he didn't know what the unicorn wanted him to say.
"I digress, but do you happen to have a curfew?" Lucas didn't want to have the unicorn or himself to be scolded for staying up too late into the night. In Lucas' eyes, Fiore was like a child even though he called himself a landlord. "We shan't neglect the time if you are to be in bed by a certain time."
