There was nothing in her life that had ever made her this angry. She had been angry for all sorts of reasons through out her life. She was a firekin and short tempers were well known but she wasn't too hot headed. Her mate might disagree but she wasn't that bad. Now however there was nothing more that she wanted then to dig her claws into something. Some where out there a lion was wandering and he had killed her son. He wasn't instantly killed however the damages were so severe that her son didn't have a chance he wasn't a fighter, he was one of the most cheerful lions that she knew and she enjoyed his company. He almost always made her laugh, it was her favorite thing to see. He smiles and laughs and it was contagious.
Now there were no smiles or laughs, from the drought to tough decisions and now there was more. She was so angry and she wanted to fight. She wanted to hurt whoever brought this to her son and her family. She wanted to hurt them the way that her son was hurt and she felt like everyone was getting in her way. No matter what she did some one was telling her to behave herself. They told her she wasn't in the right mind but she knew in the heart that she was fine that she had this going.
For now she was in her den. Trying to contain her emotions. She was tired and angry and hurt. She wanted to hurt something and she was even more mad that everyone told her that she couldn't do this. She was going to do this and she didn't care who got in her way. But for now she needed to spend some time to herself, in her den, not doing anything for at least a few minutes. She didn't know what to do and she also knew she had to talk to Khin, if only she knew what he was doing.

Khin had been in no better a state than his mate. Their dear Celosia was trying her best to bring her parent some small cheer, but by now even she had accepted that some things could only be made right by revenge. And of course, self-declared little princess that she was, she didn't like that one bit. Honestly, just what kind of Firekin was she?
Of course, Khindel could think that now, but deep down in the part of his mind that still could think rationally he knew that Celosia was just as much Firekin as his mate.
When he finally entered the den one could almost see the dark cloud of anger and woe that surrounded him. His growls, not directed at anyone in particular, were like thunder, and the flash of his eyes upon one like lightening.
"The more these feelings are left to simmer, steep, marinade, the sweeter the revenge will be," He uttered, flicking his tail behind him.

Azar's attention turned toward her mate as she started to wander in her direction, toward the den. She wasn't expecting to see him at home this soon. But at the same time with everything going on there were a lot of things that were different at the second she didn't really bother to think twice about it. She stared at him as he wanted through and rolled her eyes at his answer. No matter how angry she was and how unlike herself it was for her she did want some comfort and she knew that he could do it the best.
She shifted herself up so she was sitting then turned toward him. "Well I really don't want to do this waiting. I hate it." She half snarled her answer. She seriously hated not being able to do anything atht moment not be able to release all of her anger. She didn't know what to do with herself or with this angry energy and she didn't like not being able to do anything about it. She pushed herself up on her feet and moved toward his side. Gently bumpping her head into his in a friendly way. She wasn't exactly sure how he was feeling but she was pretty sure it was the same way that she was feeling.

"I know. So do I."
They bumped heads and Khindel laid down, crossing his paws in front of him, tail still twitching.
"From the looks of it though, we have little choice in the matter. But I don't want any of our children leaving these lands with thoughts of revenge. That vengeance is ours. I won't let them risk their lives. We won't lose them, too."
It was only sheer anger and determination holding him together right now. As far as he was concerned, he needed to hold on to it, or else he would fall apart. And if he fell apart, then who would Azar have to turn to? Who would his children look to for strength? That and..he didn't want the pity.

Azar laid close to her made, by his side leaning on him trying to calm herself down. She was so angry, it was hard to contain herself and pull herself in and calm herself down, but it wasn't really working, her tail twitched along with his, her claws dug into the ground she was so frustrated. "We really don't have any choice." She said through her clenched teeth, she leaned into him a little more, there was something that she didn't really agree with that was for sure. "I think we should tell our grown children what to do." She said simply. she didn't want Kakek to fight not at all, but at the same time, new cubs or not. She wasn't sure what she could do or how she felt. "Especially Kakek, I mean he was there."
She held back her feelings again the best she could. This was the upset part. This was the sad part. She was feeling emotional. She was feeling all of the sad feelings at the same time the angry feelings. "I don't know Khin, this is all weird." She growled through her teeth. She didn't like feeling like this, she liked to be the rock and when she couldn't be it made her angry.

"Kekek's cubs need a father," Khindel said as if that settled the matter.
Honestly he didn't feel like arguing, and he aimed to leave little room for such.
"Either way, we have to wait. The pride's agenda has been put before our own. As much as I'm sure neither of us like it... We need strength if we are to annihilate those responsible for this who debacle."
Khindel hated to admit it, but none of them were at their top strength, not with the lack of nourishment. With the water scarce, so was the food. None of them were eating well. Khindel had been doing his best to ignore his hunger for a long time now...
"And like I said...the longer we have to wait, the sweeter our revenge will be..." He then lifted his voice, "So let us take our anger and pain and use it to complete the pride's new mission. We will strengthen our bodies, sharpen our claws, and then, only then, set out for blood."

Azar held her breath, not really wanting to say anything else to him about it. She didn't want to argue either. They could argue about it now, or maybe even Kakek could fight for his own. She knew that he would do fine by himself. He was a firekin and could be just as stubborn as both of his parents combined and when they were combined it could be pretty bad.
"Mmm... I know." She huffed at the idea of not being in shape. she hated this she wanted to be like she liked to be, fit and ready to kick butt. That was what she was used to. She liked to fight she liked to duel but suddenly she couldn't do it. She was tired and hungry and thirsty and it was all of the time not just some times. She knew it wasn't just that it was also her cubs, well they weren't cubs anymore, it was also her mate and her parents and her siblings. She was angry and frustrated and there was nothing she could do.
She smiled a little. "It will be?" She didn't really want it to be a question but it had to be. "I wish I could do something about this." She growled a little frustrated with this but she then leaned over laying her head on his paws.

He shifted one of his paws out from beneath her and patted her on the head.
"Our options are, indeed, limited. We have to keep strong. No falling apart now. The time when our strength and barriers may fall, but it is not this day."
Khindel licked Azar's forehead, then whispered in her ear;
"The wait will give us time to think of the cruelest, most painful way possible to extract our revenge," and he could only grin the wickedest grin...
Indeed, his mind spun like a spider spinning its web, all the possibilities...

Azar couldn't help but to snicker a little as he placed his paw on me. she leaned into him and closed her eyes, taking a few moments to relax. she didn't know what was going to be coming into her den. She felt like there were times where some one would just walk in. One of her siblings would wander in, one of her children wander in or even then a grandchild would wander in. It was always interesting but for now she wanted to enjoy this, not sure if anyone was going to wander in or not, to a point she didn't care, she just wanted to relax and enjoy her time with her mate.
She giggled at what he whispered and then she twisted herself on to her side and relaxed closing her eyes possibly for a nap, still up against him. "Revenge is going to be nice, but a nap sounds nicer for now." She said almost as an offer to him, she was hoping that he might join her, she knew that he too liked naps.

Khindel nodded.
"A nap it is, then."
He shifted in to a more comfortable position, stretching out a little. After all, who was he to say no to a nap? Even as angry and sad as he was, sleep at least took his mind away from the hunger and the thirst for a little while...
But now watch - his dreams would be tormented with fat wildebeast that he could neither catch nor eat. Or worse, some monster that he could likewise not yet slay.... Either way, he welcomed the nap with his mate.

And she too welcomed the nap. She was glad that he agreed to the nap. It was nice to be able to relax and rest with her mate after everything was going on. She felt like she hadn't been able to do this for a log time. Not able to relax and spend some time closing her eyes. Although she knew it wasn't for long it was better than no rest at all. And even if she knew that when she woke up everything was still going to be going on she still knew that it was going to be okay at the moment ,at least it was at the moment.
