Stepping through the foreign land, her eyes shimmered looking over all that she could see. Bright was the gaze of the mare with the dark markings, with the knowings of one who was hurt in ways that few knew to cure. It was hurting again, the place on her head that had caused her to be such a way. She both knew and did not know why. The injury, far further before in her life, was something she did not remember nor appreciate. Her mind's settle of indifference was... a hindering trait that left her confused around other Kirin, leaving her to wander as she was. The sense that was trying to well up from behind her forgotten feelings was unease. It was dark after all, and she was very much alone. "Nonsense..." She mumbled to herself, a thought having risen up in her mind. "I am no such fool..." A sound caught her attention, leaving her hooves to carry her over, head ducking below some low hanging branches so as to save her horns from any harm. "Is there someone there?"If they were, they were very quiet. Just as the forest was then, leaving the feeling of being around none for the female to know again. She snorted, turning to continue on her way to.... no where in particular. Again just a moving lost one in a strange land. Something that was relatively common.

Trotting along at a slow pace, Lirona's eyes caught sight of everything. She was still exploring this new world, so similar and yet so different to her lost home. The great migration had taken its toll, but she wouldn't allow herself to mope about. There was much to do as she and her father explored this new land. So tonight, while he slept, she did some exploring to keep thoughts of her lost family at bay.
She was eager to learn all she could about this place, and that included the other inhabitants as well. She hadn't had many friends back in her old home, and, truthfully, she hoped things would be different here. Thus, when she heard a distant voice call, her ears immediately pinpointed where it had come from. Taking a deep breath, she headed through the shadows. She slowed when she finally heard another set of hooves coming near. "Hello?" She called ahead, alert to where and how the other might respond.

Ah. It was another of her kind. She stepped through the foliage, no fear in her heart, though her mind had that ache again. "What...brings one like you here?" Her words seemed confused and almost unfeeling, as though she had never known or learned emotion. Her bright eyes shimmered as she stood there, awaiting an answer like a young one would a meal, or a mother her eggs to hatch.
Her legs moved, hooves pawing at the ground with no real purpose. Her mane tossed to the side and long tail flicked, not so effective as she was trying to move it more behind her. Wind blew, and was ignored. Her antler-like horns seemed to catch in the tree above them, leaving her to toss her head once. "Irritant."

Ears perking, she immediately lit with a welcoming smile. "Why, you do, of course." She replied, tipping her head. This stranger was a little difficult to see in the shadows, but thankfully the moon was full, and her eyes were well adjusted to the night. Her head tipped as she took in what the other was offering, noting how it seemed... how it seemed as though the stranger didn't quite know how to act.
Her smile turning slightly apologetic, she inclined her head in a sort of bow. She wasn't quite sure if the other was calling her an irritant, or the branches catching above... Her tail twitched as she kept herself from getting defensive. She really did want a friend... "I'm sorry if this is your territory. I'm.. new. I was just exploring the area, and I heard your voice. Are you looking for someone?"

"No..." She had moved after the trees caught her horns again, sighing softly. "Just wandering... I've got no home, and do wonder if this might be someone's place." The curiosity was indeed there. Her head bowed in return greeting. "My name is Star Spark. Was I really so loud?" Her head tilted, seeming confused as to how she was such.
The doe did her best to move silently and with very little sound so as not to rouse any unexpected or unwanted attention. To know she was loud was something all new and disliked.

Though relieved to hear she wasn't tromping around someone else's territory, she felt a sad understanding creep up. Essentially, she and her father were wandering as well.
Oh goodness! She'd approached this female and hadn't given her name first! "Greetings, Star Spark. My name is Lirona." She cocked her head slightly in turn, and then gently shook it. "No, you weren't loud. However, the night is quiet, and I heard your voice." A soft breeze made the trees whisper to theirselves, but aside from that, the world was asleep.
Tail twitching, she cleared her throat cautiously. "Star Spark, if I may ask.. were you born here, or did you come with the migration from Aerithe?"

"I was not born here." Her ears flicked, catching the sounds of the leaves. "It...is different here..." Her head hurt...what was that? She shook her head. "My landing was not soft, and the magics were not kind.... I do know I am grateful to live but...." She shut herself up, looking away as she had no idea what she was searching for to end what she was saying.

Slowly, Lirona nodded. "I wasn't born here, either." She said, looking up at the sky briefly. Then she shook her head and unconsciously stuck her chin out in a determined manner. "But, I am here now. I intend to make the best of it." Then, she allowed herself to smile again. "Star Spark. Have you seen any good berry patches recently? I'm in the mood to eat something sweet. ..And I'd enjoy it greatly if you would join me." She was done with thinking of her lost home, and her belly was starting to complain of being less than content. While she could simply eat where she stood, the occasion seemed to call for something special. After all, she'd found someone interesting to share at least a little time with. The world wasn't as empty as it had seemed.

"Ah..." The mare...actually wanted to spend time with her? That was new. Star shifted her standing point, tail shaking behind her as she looked around. "I passed one... that way." She motioned toward two oddly shaped trees that seemed to be intertwining. "It was near a stream I think..." She seemed to be very confused now. Her ears twitched, and she looked to Lirona, wondering what she was going to do really if anything.

Lirona's tail swayed wuth a hint of nervousness. She wasn't often the one to so openly invite a stranger to spend time together so soon after meeting. However, as she had told herself when she started out earlier tonight, she was going to find herself some friends.
She relaxed a little when Star didn't outright turn down the offer. "Near a stream? Those berries are usually quite good." Well.. that's how it was back home... No. This was home now. "If you don't mind a little backtracking then.." She gave Star an encouraging smile, and trotted by in the indicated direction. She had to pass close to Star to do so, and finally noticed the antlers on the other's head. "Your antlers are very interesting." She said impulsively, now doing her best not to stare like a child.

"Oh...Thank you." She blinked, looking up a bit as she moved a bit slower, seeming to stumble a bit when one got caught. "Oh... rats... They're a bit bothersome." She ducked her head and began taking the lead. "Easy to get trapped in...overhead messes.." Her ear flicked, listening for the earlier water sounds. "I don't think I've had berries before...that I can remember that is." Her voice was eased now. Having been speaking with the other mare she was now more confident with her words, but the confusion remained.

Watching Star have to fuss a bit with the branches, Lirona gave a little nod. Those antlers did seem to catch those branches rather easily. "You must be very patient then, to have antlers that catch so easily." She observed, suddenly grateful of her own horn.
Tipping her head slightly, she gave her mane a soothing shake. "Are you sure you're not looking for someone?" She asked, dark eyes holding a faint shimmer in the moonlight. Star seemed so distracted. Or, perhaps distracted wasn't the right word, but.. it was close.

"I...don't have any family... and no....friends." She didn't seem to know how to feel about that word, or really care a lot of it. "Others think me odd... they leave not soon after meeting..."

Lirona was rather amazed by the passive nature of Star's speech. She was speaking of things that Lirona thought quite sad, but Star spoke as though she were saying that the moon was out tonight. Perhaps it was a defense? "I suppose anyone could look odd to another." She said idly, thinking about the various kirin she had met before. Some of them had certainly seemed odd to her. Indeed, her own family had seemed odd at times!
Twitching her tail some more, she gave Star a small smile. "Perhaps it is friends and family that you should be searching for?" ..Well, no point is being private or subtle about it. "I- ..I have family, and I am now searching for friendship. I would be perfectly willing to get to know you better if you would like to do the same with me."

That caught the female by surprise. "Friend...ship..." Never had Star experienced such a thing. It was rather interesting in fact. "I....I have never had friends before." She was confused again, head hurting a bit as she walked, trying to remember the feeling and let her be happy and relieved....
She looked to Lirona, confused still. "Why....would you want to be my friend? What....what makes me friend worthy? And what did you mean search for family? I have none... no siblings nor parents.... I don't think." Her head tossed a moment to move hair from her eyes.
