Adjusting back to this sort of life hadn't come easy for one Seto Kaiba. He's spent far too long among the ranks of Team Rocket, far longer than he had planned. Although that was probably due to the fact that he actually kind of enjoyed that sort of life. It kept him on his toes. But then some woman had to come into his life and screw things up. Leaving him feeling even more empty than ever before, and in a position he thought he wanted, but now wasn't so sure.
Corporate life was starting to wear on him. Sure it kept him busy and distracted, but it wasn't really all that fulfilling. Plus there was more to be done than work in an office all day. He had to promote the company, show up places, do things with important people. That was the part he really didn't care for. However, there was one he didn't mind so much.
Seto now found himself strolling the grounds of a local orphanage, behind a dark haired man who directed the place. Seto Kaiba had consistently given large donations to the facility, and had been asked to come for a tour.
As he walked the grounds, quietly observing where his funds had been put to use, he was reminded of a place not dissimilar to this one. It brought back memories, ones he didn't really care to recall. Not that they were all bad, but by and large weren't pleasant. He had been an orphan himself, after all. It was the whole reason he supported this place.

Today some one was supposed to come to their home and inspect it. He didn't know what that meant, but he knew it meant something rather important as all of the adults were making sure their beds were made properly, they brushed their teeth until they were all shiny white, and they even made him wash Noishe!
Looking down at the squeaky clean stuffed animal, Lloyd frowned with a small pout.
"Noishe doesn't like to be washed..."
He looked out of place now, like he just bought him when in fact he's had the stuffed animal since he was born. Daddy gave it to him after all, and he didn't think he needed to wash it, he took good care of it...Right?
Oh well was the only thing the small child could think when he saw some of the older children standing straight in line. Maybe he should too? This whole thing was so confusing to him, so he decided to just squat down and cuddle Noishe close to him with the hope that this inspection guy wouldn't make him wash his long time buddy again. Maybe if he pretended to play with Noishe he wouldn't get washed anymore?
So he decided to do just that, playing with Noishe until he forgot that he was playing pretend with the adults, falling out of line with a bright laugh.

As they came into a different room, Seto kept a carefully neutral face as he saw the children lined up as if for an inspection. He held back a sigh but did tilt his gaze away as if in distaste. He could remember much the same thing when he had been a child and his step father had come to visit the orphanage. He said nothing, and merely continued to follow his escort, avoiding the curious gazes of the children.
However, he paused as he heard laughter, tilting his blue gaze in that direction. The man escorting him had noticed as well and bent down next to a young boy who was playing with a stuffed toy.
"Oh Lloyd, must you play on the floor? You're in Mister Kaiba's way. Please get back in line," the man gently chided.
Seto just watched this in silence.

The small child usually had no problem listening to his caretaker, but today it seemed like he was being difficult. He wanted to play, not stand in line and watch the adults walk by! It was so boring...Lloyd looked up to his caretaker, the desire to disobey shinning clearly in his eyes. No, today was the day he was going to play jungle adventure with Noishe and there was nothing his caretaker or this Mr. kaiba person was going to do about it.
"I'm playing jungle adventure. Noishe doesn't like to stay still and its so boooooring standing in line. I wanna play..."
With that said, the six year old boy went back to exploring the jungle with his trusty sidekick, who apparently, could make plants wither and die with his unnatural farts of death and doom.
Lloyd was fed up with waiting on these adults to finnish their business...Its play time for him now.

The caretaker pushed up his glasses and sighed at the currently obstinate boy. He then stood and turned to Seto. "I apologize Mister Kaiba, usually he is not this unruly. If you would like to..." But his words trailed off when he realized that Mister Kaiba wasn't paying him much attention.
The tall brunette didn't respond, and was instead watching the boy with some interest. His gaze directed at Lloyd and seemingly distant. The boy reminded him, in some ways, of both himself and his brother when they were young.
Seto brushed past the caretaker and approached the boy, bending to be more on the child's level while lifting a hand to place it on the boy's head.

Lloyd was so into his game of Jungle Adventure, he didn't notice the tall burnette approach him, much less raise a hand to place it on his head. As far as he was concerned, him and Noishe were almost out of the dense, tropical rainforest full of beedrills and what have you.
Infact, because he was so engrossed in his game that he rolled away from Seto and then sommersaulted right into the man's leg, resulting in a harsh thumping sound upon impact.
Now, Lloyd considered himself to be one of those big boys that never cried and always, always, ALWAYS came back up swinging.
It seems like today wasn't a day for him to test that theory. The impact made his head hurt pretty bad and Noishe wasn't doing anything to make it feel better. Instead of a few tears comming out, Lloyd settled for the whole barrage, outright bawling while rubbing his head. It was the big man's fault! What was he? A mountain?!

Seth lifted a brow when the boy rolled into his leg then sat back and started crying. Hmph. Instead of losing his cool or patience through, he put his hand on the boy's head again. Upon inspection it looked like he was fine, just a bump, and so he ruffled the kid's hair.
"What are you crying for? You're fine," he said gruffly and then put his hands under the boy's arms to pick him up and set him on his feet.
Something then came to mind, and the man smirked a little to himself.
"Do you know why we fall?" This said in a slightly more gentle tone.

Lloyd thought he was going to keep on crying until he ffelt hands place him on his feet. These hands were huge! Almost as big as...Daddy's hands, and he didnt think anyone could be bigger than his daddy!
Then the giant had the nerve to say he'd be fine! Like this bump on his head would just absorb into some magical space located on his body...Using one hand to whipe his eyes and the other to rub his head, Lloyd looked up at the blue eyed giant man before quickly grabbing Noishe, cuddling him as close as possible.
Fall? Does he know the answer to this question?
"No. Noishe thinks we fall because we're clumsy..."
And Noishe is always right...

At that answer, Seth couldn't help but crack an amused grin. ... Just a little one.
Heh.
"Well, he's close." He told the boy, unable to hide the amusement in his voice. Seems like this kid had quite an attachment to that toy. This brought back... so many memories. Memories he had shoved to the back of his mind to the point that he'd nearly forgotten.
"It's so we can pick ourselves up again."
And with that, Seth stood, looking down at the small boy from his very high vantage point.
"So Lloyd, how old are you?"

Pick ourselves up again?
That sure sounded weird to the small boy, but he didnt voice his oppinion about it. Adults can be so weird sometimes with their odd language and strange ways of dress...Lloyed hopped he wouldnt become one of them one day, an adult that talked weird and dressed so oddly that not even little kids would know what to do with him...
When asked about his age, Lloyd's chest puffed up a little, clearly an act of trying to appear manly.
"Im six years old"

Hm. He was about that age when... everything went to hell.
Hopefully this boy wouldn't have to go through all the crap he'd been through, but already his future was pretty bleak. What with being stuck in an orphanage and all. He knew all about what it was like to live in one.
Again Seth smirked, but not unkindly, at the little boy. "Heh, you're pretty grown up." He said as the kid tried to make a show of what a big boy he was. Cute.
"Do you like it here, Lloyd?"

Did he like it here? That was a good question.Truthfully the little tike didn't know the answer, but he decided to go with something that should seem appropriate for the adult before him.
"I.....Me and Noishe want to go some place else...Its so boring here and there's not enough jungle to explore because we always have to stay in one spot."
When Seto commented about him being grown up, Lloyds chest swelled and he gave the man a beaming smile. Of course he was pretty grown up! He plays jungle explorer with Noishe by himself! Only the bravest of the brave could do that! He can even play it in the dark!

Needed more jungle to explore, huh? Seto smirked a little at that, too. He could probably fix that. He couldn't blame the kid for not really preferring this place though.
"I think I know a big jungle you and Noishe could explore. I could take you there, if that's what you wanted. You wouldn't have to stay here anymore."
He watched the boy to see what he thought of this idea.
