((I've been slacking, so anyone who reads this needs to know for the first several posts wokovu is still an adolecent. Thats when he was kidnapped, by thte time they find him again he's grown. XD This is for Dih-ji and Wokovu only, yes I'm RPing with myself. With that said let's get started =D)) ((This is from the openRP. I initially posted it there. :B So quotage, woo.)) Arafel Dih-ji shifted into the winds of the night, finally ready to complete his task. He couldn't wait to see what the other gods and goddess were doing about theres... now was time for action. Hope was long lost amongst the pride, and the god of hope himself's LAST hope was this cub.
As the hope of their creations dwindled so did his power, he felt weaker than he had in centuries. And it showed in the way the once mighty god now had a bit of a drag in his step. The feather's of his wings would dip ever so slightly into the sand.
He stopped outside the oversized hole in the ground. The current resting place of the mismatched family. There he waited for their return at dawn.
~~
The "last hope" was currently bounding along side something half his size. Grinning widely as he dragged a large bird in his mouth "Mm dff mrrmm mm!" he muffled out a brag, earning a sideglance from the fox beside him. "Don't talk with your mouth full!" she scolded, as a mother should. Age was becoming aparent on the Fox, her allready light fur getting lighter around her face, white hairs of age that were hardly noticable on the sandy colored fur.
Wokovu's ears drooped as he was scolded, dropping the bird on the sand with a plop. "I said i did pretty good!" His rear followed to the sand with another plop.
"Yes yes.."
"hey can we eat here?"
"Sure.. why not." She gave a crooked smile, moving over to dig into the smaller end of the bird. It may have been alot of work to feed a hungry cub with what little she could catch... but it obviously paid off now that he was doing the hunting.
~~
Just as the sun was rising the two returned to the den, Wokovu ramblig on about some sort and Yakuti smiling and listning. Dih-ji shifted, a frown apon his face as he stared at the two.
Yakuti went to an abrupt halt, staring at the god... Her eyes went wide, as she took a step back.. then one foreward infront of her boy.
Wokovu blinked, staring over the lion of sorts... But much much different. It was like looking into a still pond, his reflection staring back at him. But no.. somethign was different. The older lion looked much... colder. The thought of himself having an evil twin somewhere poped in for a moment, then quickly retreated.
Yakuti gulped, she'd never seen the god. His voice had lead her to Wokovu in the first place... but why on earth would a GOD grace them with his presence... Unless...
Dih-ji took a step foreward, giving a look to the fox, "Your work is done." then to the boy, "Come. You have much to learn."
Wokovu blinked, frownign a bit and grinding his paws into the sand. "What? I'm not goin' anywhere. I'm staying with mom."
Dih-ji stared a moment, "Don't be foolish... She's not your mother. You'll only be a burden to the creature if you stay here."
Wokovu's face faultered a bit... "No! She IS my mother. I don't care what she is... she's my mom."
"Your mother is dead. She was murdered the day you were born."
Wokovu felt a shot of pain rip through him. "..Then.. Yakuti saved me. She's my mother."
"If that is your logic then I'd be your father. This creature was meerly a tool to protect you. I sent her there, she never would have taken you on her own... Thats the way of life. And one day you'll see she's nothing more than a breakfast."
Yakuti fell silent, stepping away from her "son" He was right. She never would have...
Wokovu glanced to the fox, then to the god. His eyes filled with emotions for a breif moment before one locked in. "Who do you think you are?!" a low growl rose in his throat as claws extended into the sand, fur bristled and ready for a fight somewhere he knew he couldn't win. "You think you can come here and tell me what's what?! Why didn't you save me yourself? Hm? I'd NEVER eat her and how dare you even say it!" his voice roise to a pitch it never had before. Yakuti's eyes shimmered a bit as she looked to the lion cub... No. Her pup.
Dih-ji stared awhile longer. The boy was confused... Too long with the tiny creature. No emotion shone as his wings shot open, throwing a whirl of sand up around him. It engulfed wokovu, leaving the lion coughing.
"Goodbye, fox." was the last thing Yakuti heard before they were both gone. Her heart stopped. Paniced she ran about the sand her pup had just been standing in. "No..." she muttered, trembling slightly. Then she spun, taking off as fast as her tiny paws could carry her.
She had to find her friends... She had to get Wokovu back.

Part one: Tests The adolecent lion's tail curled around his legs as he watched the massive figure. Ears flicked once or twice. Anger shown in his expression, sholders hunching. They were somewhere odd... And there was no way for Wokovu to get off of here. Lest he wanted to leap into the clouds and hope there was somethign close underneith them.
Dih-ji turned to him, frowning a bit "Why do you insist on feelings towards such a lower creature?"
"She's my mom. She took me in, raised me.. kept me alive. She even would stay awake during the day for me when it hurt her..." Wokovu growled lightly. "How can you call her lower?!"
Dih-ji paused a moment, thinking over the times he'd watched the two. Yes. She had done a fine job... "Well then, how do you feel towards your fellow lion? You realize they would eat her as well."
Wokovu's eyes widened, sharply shaking his head. "They wouldn't! And anyone who tried would have to deal with me." The last almost seemed like a threat to the other. Woko had never thought about that... Everyone he had been with had the heart to leave her be... But only because she had been with him. Otherwise...
Dih-ji's expression remained unchanging as he watched the boy's. "Are these lions evil, perhaps one might try to eat her now..? Would you kill them?"
Wokovu paused... "No... i.. i couldn't kill anyone."
"So what would you do?"
"I..." his mind whirled as it tried to think, "I'd just tell them."
"Tell them what?"
"I'd tell them not to harm her."
"What if they were starving?"
"I'd.. get them some other food! Theres other things to eat."
"What if someone else tried to attack them? Perhaps one of your friend's wouldn't be as forgiving as you."
"I'd just stop them too!"
"You have alot of trust...Do you honestly think you could make everyone live in peace?"
"..." Wokovu's ears lowered. no..that would never happen... "No...But...I'd still try!" he puffed his chest out, locking eyes with the god. "How could i not?"
Dih-ji allowed a smile to break through. "I can't see any reason."
Wokovu blinked, confusion hitting his face.
Dih-ji stood, "I wanted to see how your life has affected you. You show strong loyalty to your friends and familiy, but you do not take to harming your own kind to protect them. You'll even protect a complete stranger after they threatened your mother. While some may find this foolish, I find this a good quality of a leader. You even would go out and find them somethign to eat, rather than using the easiest source nearby."
The god moved towards the ledge, peering over at the cloud's surrounding the tiny island-like cliff. "You will have to sacrifice... You're willing to give another creatures life, another's friend, to feed the stranger."
Wokovu blinked... He hadn't realized that. All this time he'd been killing for food... it could have been someone elses friend. "W-Wait! how...how can I keep from doing that?"
Dih-ji peered back at him "You can't." Wokovu's ears lowered as Dih-ji continued on "Follow me... I will tell you the ways of reality." Yes.. the boy had passed his first test. He had the heart, but would reality crush this spirit...? If that spirit was lost so would be his entire project. However... There was no other choice. It was do or die.

Part two: Reality
Dih-ji walked across a ledge of sorts, simple grace that comes with having wings. No fear of falling... Much oposite of the boy behind him. Still, wokovu followed curious for answeres.
"Life is a delicate thing. There is no way around death... There is no way to go through life not taking the happiness of others. For then, you yourself would die... As well as everyone else who tried this feat. However, hope... sacrificing for others, are all things required to create a strong group.
Thus is reality... Sacrifices and acheivments. One gives so another can go further... One gives their chance for offspring, so another may have theirs. Can you accept this reality?"
Wokovu blinked... It seemed so awful when put into words. His ears flicked... They stood in silence, strong breeze blowing over the high ledge as he thought hard, tried to make sense of it... To find his own feelings.
Finally, he spoke. "I.. I can. Without that... No one would ever live. We'd all live together, then die. And... thats no good for any of us."
"Thus is the balence of life..."
Dih-ji continued on a bit more, pausing at a dead end of the ledge.
"You, are firekin decent."
Wokovu's eyes widened. "What?"
"Think about it. You were born in the desert, you and your sibling allways held a strong resiliance to the harsh desert."
Wokovu's head lowered, he was one of those... Those who tried to take them as slaves... But... not all were bad. "Why are you telling me this...?"
"Let me tell you of your ancestory. Long ago... The firekin were a prospering race. They worshiped us, their creator... and while they ruled strongly over their surroundign area, they kept faith.
Soon, this faith dissolved as the firekin bloodline grew thinner... Our last follower was killed... How, i can not tell, however this started the downfall of the firekin.
They turned their eyes from us, leaving us helpless to protect them in any way. The plauge is a result of that... Many lives were lost, yet we could not do a thing as none had faith...." Dih-ji's normally cold look seemed to sadden slightly, before he continued sollemly.
"You...And your three siblings, were born of the firekin princess. We blessed you four so that we might bring you back to save the firekin... Your mother was killed after the truth of her breeding outside firekin blood was found out.
You are a halfbreed, but this makes you strong. You, wokovu, were born with both the strength of a firekin... and the heart of a rouge."
Dih-ji turned once again, stepping out into the clouds. "There were originally four saviors... However... They have gone from our reach, and you are the firekins last hope."
Wokovu stared a moment, his mind seeming to shut down as the information flooded him.
"Rest here for tonight..." the god shifted into teh sands, flying out across the heavy winds.
Wokovu nodded, turning to find a cave's sudden apperance. He shook his growing mane and stpped inside, the days events sucked his energy.. and no sooner was he in the dark he had fallen asleep.

Part three: Strength
Wokovu was torn from a lovely sleep by claws swiping across his shoulder. He let out a snarl, shoving to his feet to stagger away from his attacker. Traces of sleep still lingered in his eyes as he tried to focus, groggy and still tired... The sun hadn't even rose yet.
His eyes focused on the god that had previously been helping him... the older lion was advancing. Wokovu backed up against teh cave's wall "W-What are you doing?!" He shouted, fear filling his voice... Was this god jut going to kill him now? Why?
"You must be alert, you didn't even notice me come into the cave." Dih-ji frowned at him, his skills were poor... There was much to be done. "Left paw, block." The god's right paw flew at the boy. Wokovu hardly got out his "wha-" before the paw smacked across his head. Dih-ji frowned more.. "Again."
Wokovu shook his head, the paw flew at him again. Wokovu ducked back, growling "Stop trying to hit me!" he swiped at the male infront of him in frustration.
Dih-ji grinned as the paw nearly hit him "Thats it. Go with your instincts. You were made to be a fighter.. Give into it." He lunged foreward, preparing for a real fight.
Hours upon hours passed, the sun rose... then travled to the top of the sky. And finally... The yougner lion fell.
Dih-ji panted, he had been stronger than he thought... However, the boys skills must have increased significantly. The god composed himself, smiling at the adolecent lion. They'd pick it up again when he awoke.
The firekin were not easy... The boy would have to be at his top fighting skills if he wanted to take over.
