Coa was missing a part to her newest project, a robotic dog that she wanted to program to be just as smart and trainable as a real dog. She just needed one thing, a brain for it to make it learning compatible like a real dog. She wandered over to Hess's lab and smiled as she knocked, wiping her hands clean of dirt or grease on the rag in her pocket. "Hess? Are you in?"

Hess was again deep into his bio technology as he reached over from the mess in his lab and hit a small button to have the door to his room open. He moved the goggles to his forehead as he arched a brow seeing Coa. "I'm always here. What do you need, Coa?"

Coa walked in and smiled at him. "Oh wonderful! I need some help with my newest project and i think, and hope, your just the person i need to talk to about fixing it!" she said with a smile as she leaned on his table, not in the way of anything and wagged her tail. "I need a brain for a dog...my Robot dog I'm making."

Humm?" He pulled a chair over and sat down, he was standing all day and needed the rest a bit. "Depends, you mean like an A.I. chip? It not as easy as it sounds to make one of those. I doubt you mean a real living bio organic brain.. What are you aiming for with this project?"

Coa smiled at him and thought about it. "I suppose either would work ok if theres a working and smart way to go about the second one. I wouldnt mind a real bio brain it would add so much more to my project. I want a dog thats trainable and as close to a real dog as possible." she said with a smile.

"You mean making it a Technorganic. If you used a living brain with the mechanics it may not last long depending what you use to put it together. As for an A.I. system it's a chip that allows your creation to learn and grown in mind. If you want a dog so much though why not as your parents?" He leaned back in his seat as he grabbed up a few files he had out of order, flipping through them.

She thought about it and frowned. "I think that the chip would be easiest and the best route. And i don't want a dog. I want to prove i can make a mechanical dog that's just as real and love able and train able as a real dog. And there's a robotics competition I'm entering with it next month and this is the last step i have to do for it before i can start training it so i can win."

Hess just gave a sigh. But it was what she wanted so he didn't argue. Getting up from his chair he went to one of the filing cabinets he had build into the wall that had electronic locks on them. Glancing though them he typed in the code for one letting it open up before he took out a small tube and closing the drawer. Walking up to her he placed it on the counter in front of Coa. He made so many of them when he was younger and kept them locked up for his own reasons, this one tube carried the chip inside that she needed though. "It's fragile so don't break it. and try not to get grease on it. That could disrupt it as well."

She made a rather high pitches squeel of pleasure and nuzzled him happily, tail wagging. "Your the best!! I promise i'll keep it safe and use gloves when i put it in!" she kissed his face and laughed as she took the tube and held it close and safely. "I'll make sure your the first to see him in action! Thanks Hess!" she said as she hurried out of the room.

Hess just gave a sigh as he adjusted his glasses, watching her leave as he wiped his face once she was gone. Glancing back around his lab he shook his head. "Looks like some cleaning is in order again." He started his cleaning routine he usually did once every few months when it build up to bad. It took him only a few hours then he went out to grab some coffee. A break was in order before he went back to work.

Coa spent the next few hours trying to get the chip in the dogs head. She had to adjust a few things and make a connector that would accommodate the chip she had gotten from Hess but she got it to work...but it wasn't turning on. she went over and over it and then finally had it working. She started talking to it and teaching him his name, Fang, she had him sitting with in an hour of it turning on and she was excited. "HESS!" she called on her com to him wanting him to come see. She was teaching it to follow her around her office. "Come over quickly if you can!"

Hess gave a sigh, he was about to see his parents when he was called. Turning around he made his way over to Coa's lab. Opening the door, he stepped over any grease spots and looked a her. "You don't need to yell." He said in his usual soft but usual calm way. "At least you have it working." He looked at the dog, he wasn't to impressed, or so his face showed but that was usual as well.

She laughed at him and blushed a bit. "Sorry i was so excited! and this is amazing are you crazy. Watch. Fang, Speak." she said as she snapped. He barked and it was rather life like. He wagged the nub of a tail that she had given him and smiled as his little robot ears adjusted to the sound as he moved to her side and she pet him. "Hes amazing! And its all cause of you!" she said hugging him and smiling as she nuzzled him. "Your too smart for your own good you know that. Look and your not even impressed." she said with a pout. Fang barked again and came over and seemed to be sniffing at Hess.

"So you gave it a sensor system where it can load the five senses?" He moved his hand away from the dog, he wasn't a dog person, even though at times his dad, Drift did act like a puppy when it came to his mom. He was more of a cat person himself. "You did most of the work, Coa. Why don't you show it to your parents?" He never really reacted to affection. So he really didn't mind if Coa cling and nuzzled him. he was so immersed into his work most of the time he never really thought or reacted in such a way. He was like that since he was a kid. His dad would call him Captain Oblivious, then his mom would smack his dad upside the head.

Coa laughed and smiled. "it wouldn't have a brain or be able to use the senses i gave it if it wasn't for that chip of yours. It was just what i needed!" she said with a smile. "Do you want me to make you a kitty?" she asked. "Or what about a bunny? I was going to make one or the other next." she said with a smile as she pet the dogs head. He wagged his tail and even looked to be panting like a real dog, even though it didn't breath. It had a system in his chest that made it seem to pant.

"No thank you, I feel any animals in my laboratory wouldn't last long with the chemicals used or would shed and mess with my work, be it real or Technorganic.It's hard enough with my own." He told her flat out. Though he wouldn't really mind having a real kitten, he was also afraid it may take up to much of his attention from his work. "I need to get back to my own project. Making a Bio-organic plant that takes care of itself in a sealed environment is taking up my time as is." He had plenty of other blueprints he was working on, but he hopes this one would at least help make the base more pleasant to work in. Like how he saw Prowls room.

Coa frowned a little and looked at him. He didn't know he was attractive did he? Did he even remotely think she was? Or think about anyone? She sighed to her self and tried to hide her disappointment. She would talk to one of his fathers later on. She looked at him and laughed. "Mine have no fur, as you see, and they have an off button if you wish for it. AND its made out of corrosive resistant steal. Not much can harm it. I suppose it could have a fake fur body cover if you wanted...well if you wanted something i made in the first place." she said softly. Damn he didn't think about anything but his work. She turned from him and waved him off. "Go play with your plant I'll see you some other time. I have training with Fang to do." she said as the dog followed her and let Hess leave, her tail low and sad.

"It would probably gather dust in my lab anyways." It sounded cold of him but Coa probably knew he didn't mean it that way, being himself and all. Returning the wave he went back to his lab to grab a few thing so he could speak with his mother, Percy. The few times anyone would see his sweet genuine smile or hear his laugh was when he worked with him. It was like work didn't matter as much, even if he did work. Taking a seat in his usual spot at Percy's desk he placed some blueprints and files down for him to look at. Most didn't understand half of what they were saying to each other with all the scientific terms they used. Drift though would mess up Hess' hair when he came in only to leave them to their bonding time as he sat outside the lab to polish his samurai swords.

Drift glanced up as he gave a smile toward Coa, he watched as she grew up into the lovely woman she is now. He remembered her and her siblings playing with his kids as they got older. He gave the dog a pat on the head after putting his swords away. A smirk came across his lips as he heard her speak about his son, Hess again. "I see, seems like ever since you were little you've always went to Hess for some kind of help." He got to his feet before placing a hand on her head, giving it a pat. "Such a clever girl. Going to enter the pup into the competition you've been looking forward to? I bet you'll win first place." He gave a sigh. "It's a shame Captain Oblivious hasn't noticed your flirts or passes. He really is a lot like his Mother." He laughed, teasing her some. "It took me forever to win Percy's heart back when I first met him. I'm still stumped at how it finally worked in the end. If I could remember I'd tell you how I did it, that way you could try it on Hess."

"Percy also had to know his surroundings more and be more cautious because there were bullets flying by us constantly in the wars we fought together in. But I do have to say as for his emotions I had a bit in that part on getting him to show it more.One of the old Cons I use to work with when I first met Percy shot his down, so while the battle presumed I was sure to take out my old Commander and rescue Percy in return. It took months for him to recover. But that was also the start of a good friendship. We've saved each others hides a lot of times depending on if we worked together or not. It wasn't glorious I can tell you that. I'm just glad it isn't as bad as it was in those days." He gave a feint smile reminiscing, before laughing out loud. "And here I go telling you old boring war stories. Sorry about that. I know Percy doesn't want his son to fight in any battles we went though he's rather protective of Hess. He was the only one to survive of his siblings when Percy was hurt that day." He started to frown then shook his head trying to forget as he wrapped an arm around Coa's shoulder and hugged her. "I'm sure he'll notice one day, just don't give up hope. So who are you taking with you for the competition?"

"Don't give up, things will work out for the better. I'd hate for you to go alone as well." He thought about it for awhile as he glanced through the window at Percy's door, seeing the two talk to each other. "I know! How about is Hess went with you. He may surprise you. besides he needs some fresh air and some....make that a lot of time away from his work. Even if I have to lock him out of his lab myself."

"Alright little Missy I didn't want to do this but you left me no choice." Drift just sighed as he lead her into Percy's room. "Hey Captain Oblivious! Think there's anyway you can conciser going with Coa to her competition that's a month from now?"

Percy gave a glare at Drift. He hated when his lover called their son such.

Hess looked up from his drink he was actually genuinely smiling as his dad came in and shook his head. "You know Mom's going to scold you later for that name again." He glanced over at Coa, seeing she was rather upset. "I don't mind coming, as long as it's alright with Coa."

"In the end it's up to you Coa. I'm not going to force you to decide though." Hess to a sip from his tea as he waited on her answer.

Percy just gave a sigh, smiling. "I get it now. Coa, if you're not to busy, would you like to join us? We're working on a few updated from Hess' blueprints and could use the extra Intel." He knew for awhile that Coa really liked his son, he figured instead of her constantly going to him for help, maybe they should switch roles, it may help break the ice some more for Hess. "After some help I'm sure you both will feel better after going out tonight for some fresh air, maybe grab a bite to eat later."

Drift smirked, as his tail wagged. He moved so Coa would stop hiding behind himself as he gave her a nudge forward. "You have some fun, I still need to go meet Prowl for some help training the rest of the kids." He meant the two youngest of Hess' sibling and anyone else who was joining. Leaving the room he closed the door behind himself, making his way to Prowls room.

"You've improved quite a bit since your first invention, Coa. I bet Sky is quite proud of you." Percy reached down giving the dog a gentle pet. "Hess came up with some quite impressive technology from his studies, that could help our defenses. With the samples we got from Viral we may be able to prevent her from hacking into our system and taking any of our files again. Let's say she'll get what she dishes out." He explained as he offered her his seat while he pulled another to the table sitting across from them both.

"I know First Aid is still looking on a way to counter her viruses and they symptoms on patients, I haven't been able to crack that one yet. I'm not a doctor, but if we can find a way to protect our home base we can help prevent less attacks in general." Hess slid the blueprints and papers over to Coa so she could read them over. "Any place you'd like to eat?"

"Killing? No information has been noted yet." That look on Hess' face was pretty obvious, he wanted to find out for himself. the more information the better. He knew if he had more samples of her dna or if he could question her himself he could get a better aspect on it.

Percy just sighed as he gathered up all the papers. "You both need some fresh air and take your time while you're out. Coa be sure you both come back safe tonight. If you have to get someone to come along...Say a double date that would be fine to." He joked some.

Hess looked up not listening to his mom on the subject for the moment as he snapped out of his own little thought bubble. "Huh? Oh yeah." Getting up he straitened out his coat before looking at Coa. "You said you were getting hungry earlier."
