Vanya twirled through the trees, jumping from branch to branch in a flurry of blues, greens, white and gold. The whoosh of air around her jingled her bells, the tiny tinkering sound floating through the air. It felt so wonderful to have time to herself; to be able to move so freely. She'd forgotten what it had felt like. First the pregnancy; long and difficult. She could barely walk, let alone jump and dance. Then the children were born and her time was spent looking after them; teaching them the ways of the Flock. Not that she would change anything for the world; she had three beautiful, happy and healthy daughters and she couldn't be more happier. But now time had passed and her children had reached an age of independence meaning she had time to herself again. She'd took to dancing the second she could, returning her figure to what it once was.
Jumping from the branch to land in a clearing, Vanya stopped to catch her breath. She caught sight of a group of flowers and made note to take them home for Vanmoriel. Sitting and leaning against the trunk of a tree, Vanya steadied her breath and closed her eyes for a moment. It was peaceful, cool and she was calm and happy. Beautiful daughters, a harem of beautiful stallions and a family that extended beyond those she'd given birth to.
A smile crossed her lips; the family could always use extending and she could always use more handsome stallions to surround her. Perhaps it was time to find a new addition; someone handsome. Someone beautiful.. Someone worthy of giving her children.. She fluttered her feathers, and chirped softly. The excitement of the hunt; this feeling had long since disappeared and she was glad to have it back.

Thane heard the danty chimes of his gold jewelry joining the wind that blew through his wings and hair. Everything around him was so beautiful this time of year, as always. His second favorite thing, next to the ocean, was summer time. Even with his dark pelt, Thane enjoyed the heat, the sweat, the gorgeous greenery. The sunlight made everything better. He silently chuckled to himself, thinking how his pelt was so close to a night sky. Of course he would find pleasantry in the sun. Thats simply how the world worked, he was finding out. You're never pleased with what you have, always wanting more.
And right now, Thane wanted to sun bathe. There were too many trees surrounding him to get a real good patch of sun. Looking around, he saw the trees thin pretty clearly some ways to his right. He started that way, letting his mind wander, preparing to take a nap.

The stallion's dark coat hid him well in the shade of the trees so that it wasn't until he stepped into the light that Vanya noticed his arrival; a jump and gasp of shock. She moved herself to her feet, watching him carefully. Ever since the skin walker attack; she'd been very careful and judgmental of stallions. A wind unicorn hybrid, it seemed. She'd known from her studies that those breeds weren't known for being evil, but there were a few exceptions. Brushing past it all, she realized just how perfect this was. A stallion who seemed worthy had wandered right into her path; apparently the Great Goddess wanted Vanya's genes to continue as much as she did.
Clearing her throat, she alerted the stallion of his presence. "It's funny how things fall into place, isn't it?" She smiled sweetly, claws digging into the ground. "You seem to be far from home, my dear." She spoke slow, voice soft and low. Taking a hesitant step towards him, she mentally made note of her location. Not far from the nesting grounds; guards would no doubt be close.

**This RP is now being logged from PMs to make it easier for Roman. <3**Roman Foi Thane raised his eyebrows in mild shock, but didn't take on an threatened stance or heavy reaction. It seemed to just be a pretty mare that blended nicely with the trees. The grass was tall enough to hide her taloned claws, and he was too care free that day to be suspicious. That was going to cost him more than he knew.
"Me? Oh, well. Yes, I am a ways a bit from home." He smile politely, chuckling inwardly as how her first comment seemed soon in tune with his previous thoughts. It didn't strike him funny that she would mention that at all. Maybe it was just a comment regarding something else? Many things would have turned out differently had Thane used his wiser sense at this meeting, But he didn't.
He didn't make a move toward her, or back. He didn't know if this field was hers to claim, or if it was simply where she planned on resting. He was going to intrude on her by no means. "Were you planning on sun bathing as well?"

Vanya watched him carefully under the lids of her eyes. The more she looked at him, the more worthy he became. He looked like the night sky. She mentally chuckled; it was quite funny; some had compared her to the moon. The night and the moon; what a perfect match. She dug her claws into the dirt for a second before returning to her seated position against the trunk of the tree. He seemed to not notice anything and Vanya concluded it would be an easy capture.
"Not sunbathing, just resting for a bit. I should be returning home shortly." This would be her angle. A mare on her own, seeking companionship in a stallion she'd just met. If everything went as planned, the excitement and thrill would bring him in. If not, well.. they would have to do things the hard way. She hoped he would come easily; it would be a shame to ruin that lovely coat with scars from a chase.
"This is your first time around here, yes?"

Roman Foi Thane took her relaxed posture as an invitation to approach. The heat felt good, baking his back warmly. He could only imagine the sun beaming off the ocean waves right now. He kept a friendly smile on his face, his eyes bright with kindness. "Yes. I've been traveling everywhere." He laughed. "To the point I've forgotten what I've been searching for."
As he moved closer, he could see the differences, very faintly, her feet held. He tilted his head, eying them, and then corrected himself immediately. "Oh, I'm very sorry to stare, miss." He bowed his head, eyes closed. His mother had raised his manners up correctly. He flicked his tail left and right, only a little unnerved by his discovery. She still seemed pleasant enough.

Vanya followed his gaze to her claws and flexed them; looking at them as if they were the most normal thing in the world. "It's fine. Where I'm from, some might stare at yours." She laughed lightly. That might be the case for the foals, but most adults in the Flock were aware of those who didn't have hooves; especially since some bred with them.
"Perhaps you were searching for me and didn't even realise it." She averted her gaze, acting coy. "Perhaps it's fate." Her eyes met his now and she smiled softly. "What places have you seen? I'd love to see the ocean; but it's a little too far."

Roman Foi Thane smiled faintly in return to hers. He wasnt completely oblivious to flirting and he had to admit, many females had tried their hand with him.
At the mention of the ocean, thanes eyes lit up and his smile broadened. "oh, but it is so worth it! Really, it is such an amazing sight, and well worth it. Is there anything holding you back? A herd maybe?"

Vanya nodded. "My duties are here; as well as my family." She shrugged. "From what I hear, as beautiful as the ocean is; the salt air ruins your hair." Vanya made a face like she'd eaten something sour and gross at the same time. "I'll stick to stories of it, I think." Instinctively, her claws went to her hair and she began combing her claws through the long locks.
"You don't have a herd, then? Or family?" This was important. It would determined whether or not she would go ahead with the capture. He might be claimed by another mare; mated as was common practice outside the flock. Or he could have a large herd that would come looking for him. Family wasn't as much of an issue; especially if he traveled frequently. Ruffling her feathers, she let out a little squeaky sound, stretching.

Roman Foi He was said that she didnt seem to hold quite a passion for the ocean as he did, but quickly moved on. Mentally, first, he commented that his mother didnt seem to mind the salt water.
He smiled a little more, finding her quiet noise to be really funny. With humor in his voice, he answered. "No herd. But my family is just the same thing. My mother, father, and brother are very dear to me. As Im sure you understand." he nodded and smiled, like they had a little bond, or were apart of the same club. "they're back at the ocean. Not too fond of travel. Im starting to think neither am I."

Vanya smiled and nodded in agreement. Family was important to her; even those who weren't related to her by blood. Her sisters were just as important to her as her own daughters; even the males in her harem were important to her, even if it was less than the females in her life.
"Perhaps it's time to settle down with a pretty mare, then," she spoke teasingly, chuckling lightly with that sweet smile dancing across her face. "She'll be very lucky, whoever she is." Pouting lightly, Vanya whined. "I'm jealous and I don't even know who she is." Her expression remained the same before she broke into laughter.
Eying the sky, she realised the sun was steadily making his decent into the horizon. It would be dark soon enough; she needed to wrap this up. "Ah, I should be heading home soon. Would you perhaps walk me back? I don't much like traveling alone in the dark." Not a total lie; Vanya didn't like traveling in the dark; out of annoyance more than fear. It was hard to notice tiny twigs that pulled and knotted her hair in the dark.

Roman Foi Thane politely smiled at her mild flirting. He was very flattered, and honestly had given quite a bit of thought about settling down. Maybe it was time. He wasnt doing thing else in his life but wandering and that had lost its pleasure a while ago. Maybe return to his family and find a nice girl. Who knew.
At her request, he didnt hesitate. "Why, of course. Itd be no trouble at all maam. About how far are you?"

Vanya inwardly danced with joy when he accepted her request. This was easier than she thought it was going to be. But that was always how it was, wasn't it? Men believed her because of her beauty, size and facade she put on. They all but threw themselves at her. A small part of her hated them for that. She wanted a stallion to come with her because she bested him or because he was taken by her personality.
Mentally shrugging it off, she focused on the task at hand. "Not far; but it's a pleasant walk with company." She smiled softly. No doubt guards would be waiting. Sisters would congratulate her once more on a job well done and the stallion would be initiated. Simple as that.
