She had resumed at least the appearance of normal life. Siddie had been going to classes, walking her druttens, and occasionally socializing. But she hadn't been with Sammy as often as she had been before the Insanity. It was stupid, and she should stop it. She loved Sammy. Sammy had just stepped out the shower, Ixxy frolicing about between her legs having sneaked in to enjoy the warm steam. "Shoo shoo girl c'mon I gota get to the bed!" She nudged the scareon to the side before moving over to scoop up her skellyphone. "Maul?" She paused for a moment thinking, quickly she flipped the phone open punching in a simple response.Prolixity Text To Siddie: Just cleaned up be there in 10
"Is m'lady ready to go?"
"Maow!" Ixxy inquired, shouted, oh who cared she was making adorable faces and thumping her tail at Siddie.

Siddie opened the door to find that Sammy had dressed up. "Oh! You look good," she said approvingly, and bent to scoop Ixxy up, giving the scareon the earfin-rubs she was demanding. "Hi there, pretty-pretty," she cooed. Clove peered over its mistress's shoulder and chirped at Ixxy.
"Just let me get my bag," she said, and handed Ixxy back to Sammy, ducking back to her bed to loop the strap of a black-lace-embellished sling bag over her shoulder. "I want to do some boot shopping, okay? But I promise not to drag you into too many clothing stores."

"Thanks s'not much but its easier to get on and off then all the other stuff I normally wear." A subtle hint that she would be trying on outfits? Maybe just a bit. Ixxy of course was more then happy to get her fin rubs and returned each one with a happy coo.
"Aight." The zombie said as she placed Ixxy on her shoulder, the scareon quickly wound her way around her neck laying down comfy like a sorta wana be scarf of fins and cuddles. "Hey I'm down with boots, but you know I like mine broken in." She wiggled her foot showing off the boots Shehk got her for the Haunted House trip so long ago, she liked the metal skull tipped design on them. "I was thinking something a bit more then saaay boots. But we can worry about that when we get there right?"

"Oh, are you looking for something?" Siddie locked her door and turned to look at Sammy's boots. "Well - I do like your boots," she offered. "I'm looking forward to seeing what you'd pick, though," she added brightly, and leaned up for a quick kiss before starting down the hallway.

"Something is a good way to put it I guess." She winked at the smaller ghoul as she wiggled her boots one last time. "I dun know, I kinda hate new clothes. They just... I like things that I've worn, that have millage?" Her shoulders rolled lazily as if trying to pop, "Weird isn't it because it makes any clothes I don't own weird to me...." Her thought was cut off, most delightfully by a short kiss.
"...you know I forget what I was worried about with clothes. Shopping means kissing and seeing you squeal a bit is good enough for me." Spinning about wit a slight squeak from her boots she marched off after the other ghoul Ixxy swaying her tail as she rode along.

Eventually they would arrive to the maul, making a b-line straight to the shoes or rather boots. Very serious difference. As soon as they entered Sammy started to shift towards the boils section before remembering this was for Siddie, her shopping was a bit later.
"Alright you. Boots abound, I love this place though my taste might be different they have a huge ghouls section... Ixxy no get back here!"
Ixxy of course saw a box. It was empty. Ixxy fit in the box. By Scareon logic, if it fits. I sit.
Ixxy was now loafed inside an empty shoe box churring happily tail poked out over the edge thumping softly. "And this is why I never go anywhere nice. Ixxy you ruin everything." Scooping up the box she followed after Siddie carrying her scareon about like a pair of shoes.

So many shoes and boots and sandals and flats and - no, no, Siddie was behaving herself and they were going to look at boots, because she liked boots and Sammy liked boots and therefore it was something they could both enjoy. Siddie thoughtfully picked up a heeled boot with delicate brass chains netted around the ankle. "Oh, Sammy, what do you think - "
When she turned around, Sammy was ineffectively scolding Ixxy, who had found a box to sit in. The scareon settled into the box and made huge cute eyes at her mistress; predictably, Sammy caved and picked the box up. Siddie giggled. "Scareons and boxes!" she said sympathetically. "At least now she'll stay put, right?"

Sammy held the box up a bit higher shrugging, "She's not going to leave this box for at least thirty minutes, she get's like this sometimes."

"See, she's made her statement, she's staying put it seems." Shifting the box to tuck awkwardly under one arm she leaned over inspecting the boots. "The heals a bit narrow but that is nice, the gold chains a good touch but I think Junko would throw a hissy fit if I wore them with... anything. That ghoul hatttttes boots."

Siddie giggled again and gave Ixxy another scritch behind the earfin. "You're such a spoiled little scareon ghoulie, yes you are," she cooed.
She studied the boot again. "You're right," she decided. "Okay, new challenge! I will find a boot that both you and Junko like." She put the chained boot down and struck a pose, then laughed again and went to inspect more rows of boots. "Platform heel, I think ... "

A large finned tail thumped happily against the box as Ixxy was spoiled all the more by Siddie's petting. She had no issue with Siddie moving away only shifting side to side in her box before cooing one last time.
"Okay, platform works, nice and level. As for Junko.... something that zips up maybe? Or has really classy buckles instead of like, big thick laces like military ones." She frowned a bit pondering, "Honestly it's hard to say what the ghoul will think. Besides you she's the only other person who really huffs at me for wearing clunky military boots with nice outfits."
She tilted her head again, "Well, you don't huff too much. You just like dressing me up."

"Buckles, I think." Siddie hummed to herself. "I don't mind the big clunky boots, but a fancy outfit has to be very particular to go with that kind of boot. And you usually don't like that kind of particular." She kissed Sammy's cheek. "I do like to dress you up~ I'm grateful you put up with me. I'm such a ghoul, and you are so very not ghoulie." She picked up a pair of boots with a platform heel studded with metal, lined with buckles. "How about this?"

"I can dig buckles, buckles are always a plus." Ixxy responded only with a tettering series of purrs from her box where she sat, tail thumping again at the talk of things that made momma Sammy happy. "Well we have to be particular this time because it's the whole masqurade prom thingy." She returned the kiss on the cheek before following along.
"Maybe before I was a corpse I was a real boy who wore boots and stuff and they just stuck me in the wrong corpse when I got here?" She shrugged her shoulders before inspecting the next pair of boots. "I like the buckles but I feel the heel's are too much." She paused, "Jack Dammit I'm fussing over this because I'm worried Junko's going to chase me around Prom slapping me upside the head for not dressing up 'proper'!"
"MAOW!" Louder noises, Ixxy wants to join in!

"What kind of costume are you going to wear?" Siddie asked thoughtfully. "Maybe we should try working with that instead of just looking aimlessly." She put the boot in her hand down and cuddled up to Sammy's side, relaxing a little. It was just Sammy, Sammy being herself.
"I like you as a ghoul," she pouted. "I'll make sure Junko doesn't slap you, okay? I promise."

"I dun know I mean... I saw a dress... hell just a dress is enough to disguise me if I wore one. I never wear those things." She glanced out the window of the shoe shop, a series of dresses lingering in a window just across the way.
With Ixxy tucked under one arm, the other twined around Siddie's waist as she cuddled close. "Dress before the boot..." she pondered for a moment looking down slightly at Siddie, "Alright alright, you will be my shining knight against Junko's assault of fashion knowledge." Slowly she tugged away moving to the window pointing. "That one." she said poking a finger to the glass, "That one right there."

"Ohhhhh, that will be really pretty," Siddie said. She hugged Sammy delightedly from behind, then looked thoughtfully around the shoe department. "Let's see. Not much heel, buckles ... oh!" She trotted over to a display and picked up a boot. " These?"
