Rie walked along the river calmly munching on a few of the sweets she had purchased in town. Today was her day to indulge and relax. even though she was grown now her spoiling from Shade had in a way kept her a child, which mainly entailed her fondness for candy and pies. She smiled up at the sky and shut her eyes not really paying attention to her footing.

Raphael strolled down the pathway humming to himself, his eyes admiring and surveying his surroundings. A light breeze blew around him rippling the grass in a way that looked like a wave. His tail swished to and fro idly as he walked. The stallion looked like the bottom of a lake or a river. He stretched as he walked. It seemed peaceful today and he wondered what he would see and who he would encounter.

Rie opened her eyes and dug into her bag for yet another treat with a large grin on her face. She paused as she saw a stallion approaching and smiled. She always liked meeting new people. She wasted no time in walking over to him, "Hello, it's a gorgeous day, isn't it?"

Raphael paused in his humming and lightly bowed to the mare in greeting "indeed it is" he answered, smiling lightly at her. He titled his head to the side "what is a mare like yourself, doing out on your own?" he asked, his curiousity getting the better of him.

Rie smiled lightly and tilted her head. "What do you mean a mare like me? I was just enjoying the day and a bit of candy. Would you like some?" she asked holding out the bag.

Raphael frowned slightly, he may have worded that wrong, so much for the charming approach. He shook his head at the offer of candy "no thank you, but I appreciate the offer" he answered smiling ever so lightly. He extended his hand out for her to shake "My name is Raphael, or you can call my Raphy, y'know whatever you are comfortable saying" he told her.

Rie smiled and shook his hand, "I'm Rie, it's nice to meet you Raphy. Why the frown? I'm just honestly curious as to why you said that." He seemed nice but she didn't like to see anyone frown.

Raphael shook his head "not to worry, its nothing important" he told her with a light smile. He always thought going the charming way would be a good way to start a conversation, but he probably should have worded what he said differently. He shook his head at himself before glancing at the mare "pleasure to meet you Rie" he said lightly. Guess the charming approach didn't work with all mares, he knew that now.

Rie gigged lightly, he was interesting. "So what brought you to the river today, Raphy?" The mare looked him over and smiled, He held himself well and was cute when flustered, if only a little bit.

Raphael thought for a moment before answering "just enjoying the outdoors" he answered. He tilted his head and glanced at her "what brought you to the river Rie?" he asked her in return. He looked the mare over ,their colors seemed to match to an extent.

"I'm out here for much the same reason. I like the warm weather." She smiled at him, "Join me for a walk?"

Raphael nodded his head "I would love to join you for a walk" he told her with a smile. "So tell me a bit about yourself, Rie" he asked her politely. He would leave it up to her to decide what she felt comfortable telling him., since he was a complete stranger.

"Well... there isn't much to tell. I like sweets and flying. As of right now I'm staying with my father. I come into town regularly to do shopping. Today was just a day I had to myself."
