A spacious room lined with shelves full of scrolls and books. One wall is dominated by a large stylized window. In the center of the room, a wide table stands. Papers and scrolls are organized neatly on the table. The room is tastefully decorated in classic Japanese style.

Captain of Squad Eight The ends justify the means is a coward's method
to avoid responsibility for his actions
The normally clean room had become cluttered with paper on every surface. Zanzo was hunched over the desk scribbling down notes and reading a report. Despite all evidence to the contrary, she did not like being thought of as incompetent. Knowing that her recent behavior did her no favors only spurred her to work harder at her duty. She was, however, exhausted; and contemplating a bath. A knock from the door. "Enter." Zanzo said wearily. A nondescript woman with a tea set on a tray walked in. "Your afternoon tea ma'am." Zanzo gratefully took the tray and placed it on a flat stack of document envelopes. Pouring herself a cup and taking a sip, she said, "I do not know what I would do without tea."
"Oh, I suspect you'd do very well without it." said the woman with a smile. "That's kind of you to say," Zanzo replied, "Although some day--Did you hear that?" Zanzo suddenly snapped, sitting shock still listening for the noise she thought... yes, someone outside was screaming. "Oh," The woman said in a clinical tone, "That'd be the poison kicking in." Zanzo rose to her feet and faced her, eyes wide in shock. "Wha--GAHRGH!" she started to speak, but coughed out blood. She stared in horror at the blood as the woman continued speaking. "It's been the better part of an hour to hit every water supply in the compound, but the results are evident. I wouldn't worry too much however. I gave you a much faster variety." Zanzo could no longer stand. Her legs collapsed out from under her, and she fell; first prone on the table, then slid back to the floor. Looking from under the table at the woman, she tried to say something, but couldn't. The woman's face began to sprout cracks like a mirror; when she spoke again, she did not move her jaw. "Enjoy your final minute of life, au revoir!" The cracks closed shut again and she left the room, closing the door behind her. Zanzo after a moment of shuddering, forcibly vomited to remove as much of the poisoned substance from her stomach as possible. There was a fair amount of blood mixed in as well. She slowly crawled to the nearest vertical surface, a shelving unit, and propped herself so she could sit up. Omekata Zanzo fell unconscious just as the warning klaxons sounded throughout the compound, then throughout the seireitei.
The Hachibantai has already lost one third of standing force from the poison.

Do not offend me by thinking me incapable of it ((I've been hemming and hawing on whether to do this, so you know what? Damn the torpedos, full speed ahead! and in case it wasn't clear, I have no clue how poison works.))

Jasmine and Hiragana both appear beside the window. "Omekata!" Jasmine said, as she saw her laying on the floor unconscious, Jasmine rush to her side and kneel down beside her. "This doesn't look good. I need Jisaku right here to help with this." She said, as she look around trying to find something that would lead to who did this. Then she saw a tea cup on the floor not to far away from here as she went down to pick it up and smell it. "Poison. " She look over Omekata and put her hand right on the side of her neck. Knowing her pulse was weak she needs medical help right away, but for now Jasmine as to wait for Jisaku to get here, because he knows what to do. But for now Jasmine stay right at the spot till someone else gets here.
. . I won't think twice of killing you right here
. . I would make you pay for it, I won't let nothing happen to them

Jisaku followed Jasmine inside when he saw her helping up Omekata. The mess indicated that she had thrown up a fair bit. Right then, Jasmine had picked up the tea cup and guessed Omekata was poisoned. "Damn it..." Jisaku quickly went over and held his hands over her body and poured on the green kido. "I can stabilize her condition, but I need something to remove the poison. Sumiko-san, ask Ayumi-chan if there's anything we can use in the Medical Bay."

Those with power are called to use it. Rei appeared out of a flash step next to Jasmine and took the tea cup gently. He dipped his middle finger into the remaining tea and licked his finger, immediately spitting it back out onto the floor. "I... I've never come across anything like this before. We'll need to analyze it to get an antibody for the other affected Squad Eight members. Shin and I can get to Squad Four fastest." Almost on cue, Shingotsu formed into existence from a breeze through the open door. "Mmm. We'll take this sample and go now. Contact Ayumi and we'll meet her there, alright? Rei, we're going!" Rei nodded to Jasmine and Jisaku and left in another flash step to Squad Four.
[[Exit.]]
But what do we do when our duty makes us murderers?
What do we do, when the world makes us demons?

An explosion rocked the building. Furniture tipped over and discarded their contents all over the floor. The window shattered; through it, one could see the other buildings collapsing or bursting into flames, and the gardens catching alight. Then smoke began filling the room.

Squad Four Captain: Jisaku Morimoto
"I don't think we should leave her here," Jisaku said, "but we can't move her either or she might vomit again." Before he could think of a solution, an explosion sounded, briefly rattling Jisaku's brain... "OH CRAP! WHAT WAS THAT?!" ...and making him freak out. The force was so great, furniture started to fall over. Jisaku had to get on top of Zanzo in order to shield her from falling books and whatnot.
((Remember, Jisaku hates explosions))

Jasmine smacked Rei as he dip his finger in the poison because she could of kick him he exit with the cup. "We got to stay here, and do all we can till Rei comes back." Jasmine said. Right after she said that explosion, once smoke started to fill the room. "Stir Hiragana! High tide!" Jasmine said, as blue flames went around them stopping the smoke from going around them. "Remind me to give her a new office. But right now the my flames would catch the smoke from getting around us, along would help from the falling books. But just keep the shield out, and lets hope Rei comes back here fast. So we get her out of here." Jasmine said, as she kneel down beside her held her hands over body and try to hold the poison at bay for now. "Hiragana help Jisaku, by making shield with flames." Jasmine said, towards Hiragana.
"Yes." He said, as he went over where Jisaku was and hold out his hand making a huge fire shield right above high tide. "Captain Jisaku, I think I got this. You go help Jasmine. " Hiragana said, as they all where in like a big fire bowl, this way the smoke or anything that would fall on them would be burnt or stop.

Jisaku pushed himself back up, getting quite a few books off his back. "Oww..." He then noticed that Hiragana was out, creating a shield with blue flames. "All right. I got it." He got off Zanzo and pushed a few more books out of the way before holding his hands out to keep the Squad 8 Captain stabilized. "Sumiko-san, who do you think would do this to her?"

Jasmine look at Jisaku as he ask who could of done this. "I don't know but who ever it was, wants her dead or something. But right now all we can do is keep the poison at bay, and once Rei gets back with the medical stuff, and give it too her. You and Rei both got to leave first and then myself for last since I got high tide going and Hiragana with the fire shield. But there is a chance of the place coming down after we get out of here, if not that is a good thing. " Jasmine said, keeping her hands over her as there was a blue glow coming from her hands beside the normal green.

"Maybe we could use Hyapporankan to hold up the ceiling...Nah, that won't work." Jisaku briefly paused to wipe his brow before getting back to work. "I hope Rei-san hurries up."

Squad 4 Medic~ "Bankai: Chiyo Shinsei'Na" said a voice nearby as a wave of mist poured into the area around them as Ayumi and a crew of Squad four members rushed in making a circle around Jisaku, Sumiko and the squad 8 captain. Then a loud metal clang rang out as one large blade slammed into the ground behind everyone, then another and another. Upto Seven large blades longer than the average Naginata stabbed themselves into the ground at an angle to look like an Indian Tipi tent around the group to keep them safe from falling debris. Mist kept pouring from the large blades as Ayumi appeared beside Jisaku standing there calmly as the makeshift building made of her bankai blades held up to sheild them from deris.
"Lay out my kit beside the patient" ordered Ayumi as she knelt down making good use of the others being here, her bankai helping with the other victims out here untill she got to them, one of the squad four members laying out a kit of liquids, tools and needles used in medical care. Ayumi put on a rubber glove and picked up the teacup while looking at Omekata's symtoms, sniffing the cup slightly and touching the liquid slightly before taking a second to look at it, this being the second look after Rei gave her a sample. "Hmm, I got the sample but I need Omekata's stomach contents to see the effect" she hummed slightly as she turned to her kit and began to fiddle around slightly as the other squad members took blood samples Omekata spat up and gave it to Ayumi who began to observe and check things out.
She took a needle and filled up the thing with blue liquid from a vile where she put it into Omekata's arm then turned away to her kit where she began putting together a little formula.
She filled up the needle with upto three types of fluids & liquids where she began mixing it up slightly with the shakes of her hands. "This may take awhile" she said bluntly as she then injected the needle into the other arm of Omekata and then put her real hand on her neck to check the pulse as her squad members stood by. "..........." paused Ayumi
"Start making more of the cure I just mixed, Vials: b, c, & f into the other patients" she ordered as the group kept scrambling about working as Ayumi attempted to try and save Omekata. (srry been busy not in the mood for ******** ooc)

Jisaku turned around as he heard Ayumi's bankai activate. The mist seemed to have a rejuvenating effect on him as he was getting his spent energy back. Not only was he amazed at how efficiently she worked, but he was surprised that she relearned bankai already. When Ayumi injected the antibiotic she made for Zanzo, Jisaku crouched down so they could be eye to eye while he worked. "So...is she gonna be all right?"

Squad 4 Medic~ Ayumi kept feeling Omekata's pulse and had her head tilted slightly to have her ear pointed at the woman as she kept on checking her condition. "I hope so, poison can be a little up and down at times .. we just have to wait and see .. trial and error" she muttered having a little human qualities about her, Ayumi herself not sure if this would work but thats why she had her kit with her, the squad members mixing up formulas to give to the others. She was calm as she shut her eyes, the short girl a little focused on all this as she awaited a sign from Omekata that she was alright. "please" she muttered, not in the mood for loosing another patient after that young boy died under her care, even if he said stop to her to let him die.
