It all happened as the clock struck midnight and began new year. Unknowingly, the next step in human evolution had begun. People who had once been ordinary began to discover that they were the next link in the evolutionary chain. Along with the development of otherworldly abilities, it was soon discovered that these new beings could not die, save for a few specific ways. As the hunting began of the new beings, a war was sparked, nearly destroying both races. As a result, an organization was created by the government in order to protect both worlds, known as "The School" the place served as both a haven, and a prison, for the new race...

~Vail~ Vail was sitting under willow tree at the cemetery thinking when she heard the sound of the bell. Oh no...i'll be put on probation if I'm late again... Vail sat up swiftly, gathering her books. She ran all the way back to school, and barely made it to class. As she walked in the door, all she saw was the disapproving looks from her class mates. She couldn't stop the look of hurt on her face before she turned away and walked quickly towards her desk. She sat down right as the teacher came through the door.

She looked up from her work as the door opened. She felt her heart pick up speed, as the person entered, she had yet to see their face. She was expecting them to come for her soon, they wouldn't let her actions go unpunished. She relaxed when she saw that it was only the newest student. She truned back to her work, as the girl sat down next to her, "Late again Vail."

~Vail~ She sighed, then looked at Rain, "Nice to see you too Rain. The teacher hasn't come in yet, right?" Vail looked back down at her hands lying on her desk, and then she whispered to Rain, "Why won't they stop staring at us?"

"Because you always talk to yourself and I'm an elf, why do you think," she hissed. "Why were you late?" Wincing at Vail's hurt look, she sighed, "Sorry, I'm just a little testy today. I-I was went to check on it."

~Vail~ Vail looked at Rain and was about to say something when the teacher came in. Mr. Davis came in the room and went to his desk. "Ok class, its time to commence with your calculus lesson!" Vail sighed and laid her head down on her desk, ' And that's my cue to go to sleep...'

Enelya did not know where she was she could only see blurry images. She could feel hands grabbing her and dragging her away from her home out in the normal world. She was pretty badly injured and was having some issues staying awake. She had lived pretty normally out in the other world until she lost control of her light power and caused a power outage in her town. She had been caught and beaten and now was being taken to the so called safe haven for people like her. They brought her to the gate closest to the school and threw her in laughing the entire time as they closed the gate behind her.
Enelya just laid unable to move due to the pain in her right shoulder and in her chest area. Not to mention the deep gash on her forehead.
