The inside of this palace is huge and lined with rib-like columns, like the inside of some great beast's stomach. There are blood stains and bone fragments all over the floor, the remains of things Cell 9 couldn't salvage (or things Carmellia just felt like eating). There are several shelves on the walls with things tied up in some silk-like substance and other things in various jars. On the floors, however, are many sticky webs so it is advisable to watch your step.
It is here where Carmellia Veloso, Espada of Cell 9, resides. And is currently sleeping in a web hammock.

Frysa woke up from her nap and yawned loudly. Stretching her one arm, she looked around and saw Carmellia still asleep in her hammock. A grin formed on her face as she snuck toward the hammock. Once close enough, she jumped on top of Carmellia shouting "Surprise! Wakey wakey Carmel!" forgetting once again that she'd done the exact same thing eight times already that month.

 Novena Espada: Carmellia Veloso "OOF!" Carmellia sprang up when her only Fraccion jumped on her stomach. She coughed for a few seconds before glaring at Frysa. "Frysa Solsken...this is the eighth time this month. How many times must I tell you not to do that?!"

Frysa gave a blank look as she processed that information. "Oops, I forgot." That also happened every time. "Are... are you mad?" she said with a sniff and big puppy dog eyes.

Novena Espada: Carmellia Veloso Carmellia stared right back at Frysa's puppy dog eyes. She couldn't help but facepalm as they got her every time. Regardless, she put a sleeve covered hand on Frysa's head. "Just a little...but it's nothing to cry about by this point."

"Yaaaaay!" said Frysa, throwing her hands up in glee. She stayed like that for a moment before curling into a ball and looking at Carmellia again with the puppy dog eyes. "Hu~ngry." she said, accompanied by a stomach growl.

Novena Espada: Carmellia Veloso Carmellia put her arms around Frysa as she stated how hungry she was. "Yeah. I'm getting a little hungry too. Let's go raid that little shop in the World of the Living." The "shop" was actually a Mini-Mart in Karakura Town which (she didn't know) Hanataro Yamada worked at at one point.

Frysa started drooling at the mention of minimart food. She wriggled out of Carmellia's arms and ran around in circles around the hammock saying "Letsgoletsgoletsgoletsgoletsgo!"

Novena Espada: Carmellia Veloso "Just try to contain yourself this time," Carmellia said, snapping her fingers and opening a Garganta. "I'd rather not have a repeat of your last sugar buzz." For those of you who don't know, being a little kid means even the tiniest spoonful of sugar makes one hyper. And Frysa's powers had actually lost control before and frozen up Carmellia's room as well as sending gigantic icicles through the walls.

"Oka~y." she said with a pout. She was always gets a bit upset at the mention of the powers she can't use or control. It was pretty clear from the outset that she was a broken arrancar, an arrancar who survived a lethal mask injury but lost her power and reverted to childhood because of it. She knew her powers were ice based (the sugar buzz incident was pretty clear confirmation of that) but she couldn't use those powers. She wanted to be able to shoot lasers and move fast and lift heavy things like Carmellia, but couldn't do it when she wanted. The repeated failures had given her a sour grape attitude about the whole thing. Still, if there's one thing that can distract Frysa from past failures, it's food. She ran through the Garganta while yelling "Wheeeee!"

Novena Espada: Carmellia Veloso Suddenly, Carmellia felt bad about bringing up that little incident after seeing Frysa's face. It wasn't her fault the girl couldn't control her powers. Still she would've loved to have seen her in her prime. In fact, she only saw it once before...albeit she only saw her rather attractive silhouette through some icy fog before Frysa turned into a little girl again. Putting that aside, Carmellia quietly followed her through the Garganta.

Novena Espada: Carmellia Veloso Carmellia soon made it back to her chamber with her hand to her face. Apparently, she spent the walk here explaining again and again who Santa Claus was and that High Clark was assuredly no such person.

"...kay, so Santa is a clone of Mr. Clark with red hair and a suit who steals people's christmas presents and kills children with coal..." said Frysa as she entered the room, showing (to no one's surprise) that half the point was missed, and the other half understood for all the wrong reasons. "Sounds badass, do you think I could meet him?"
