borobdin As detailed in the sig disable you received earlier, referral links are prohibited by the Gaia Terms of Service. Restoring your signature without changing it just leaves it open to be disabled again. Paying the fee is not paying to be allowed to break the rule. Since your signature is still in violation, it can be disabled again and the fee rises each time. Sure, you could probably afford it for a while, but why waste gold like that? It's your prerogative though. Do what you want. However, you may want to warn the rest of the members of the guild about the site. One of your members had their sig disabled for having the referral link and in response reported a large group of other members in your guild. Then rereported people who restored without changing anything. In any case, I don't want to be excessively disabling the sigs of your guildmembers. So this is a chance for you guys to resolve this without building up lots of penalties.

And I don't know why referal links aren't allowed <_< It's not like you're forcing them to sign up. I lost track of how many neopets ones I've seen on this site before, and other sites as well XP

is it that we cant use a url that autoreffers your username on that site if they sign up, or that we cant tell ppl to reffer us at all? b/c i just have a link to whuddle worlds main page and the graphic says to refer me haha

You can re-enable your Signature at the profile page located at http://www.gaiaonline.com/profile/index.php?view=core.UserAdmin&subView=signature.UserAdminSignature ^^^ Thats what the PM said for me...I read the Article V1 Clauses 6 and 7 and it didn't say anything about linking to sites that refer, but it did say something about linking to sites that arent GAIA related unless they are pictures and whatever. And I kind of have an idea of a person who would be bitter and spiteful and report everyone...

OMG THATS WHY! I got on today and got that message too and like rini that paragraph three really bugs me, that one of us got caught doing something wrong which dosent even seem fair and then thought if they got caught they should report everyone Im actualy thinking about quiting gaia right now >.<

Referral links aren't allowed? Since when? I've looked at the TOS and haven't ever seen that rule. x.x That's not fair that you can link to sites but not refer people... The whole point is to refer. I'm glad I didn't have one in my sig, the only reason I didn't was because like I said before in another thread, I feel like the kind of people on Gaia are maybe the kind that are messing up WW, though someone said they came from some other site instead. @.@

Hey guys, I'm a long time Q&A and Site Feedback lurker and this refferral thing is one of those rules that can be hinted at in the TOS, is enforced by the admins but you dont really know unless you go lurk in those areas. Its not fair but the admins do it this way and has been for a while, so tough luck people. Sorry that you guys are having this problem. The admins went tough on referral type links ever since the brain eating links got popular :/
