Now, that was a good start of a good adventure. Heidla was standing in front of the Weeping forest, ready for any fun that could befall her.
"Ad-d-d-venture!" Her body and her mind sang in unison. What would other priestesses say if they could see her now... Heidla smirked. Good there were enough places there a priestess of Death can hide and play on her own and satisfy her childish instincts without being seen by her comrades. Not that she minded company, but most of the serious priestess would find it ridiculous to rush into the forest crying with joy and hunting all the small creatures as if one was a barbarian from the war clan...
She was lucky enough to get rid of all the obligations and duties for today and to slip away from the ever-growing needs of the Horsemen community. After all, if in the realities of the new world a priestess could be asked to find a well and bring water or plant trees, then the world is upside down enough to find a priestess to go looking for a bit of fun.
Now, what she should do? Heidla was contemplating various possibilities. Should she just rush after smaller beasts causing havoc and panic? Or should she play with some bigger ones? Or should she follow some curious paths she noticed before?

Unsurprisingly, Zhiqiang was bored once again. It was not as if he had nothing to do--there were a fair number of chores for the Conquest horseman to partake in if he so desired--rather than the fact that he simply didn't want to do anything. He could have been scavenging for items, helping the other clanspeople build things, or even mending clothing. There was a vast range of things that Zhiqiang could do...
...But he didn't feel like doing any of them.
The Conquest horseman sighed as he sprawled out on the forest floor, his expression impassive and blank. Wasn't there anything fun to do around these parts? Halloween, he was finding, was a most uneventful place. Perhaps part of this had to do with the fact that he rarely ventured out of the Lost Clans' new home, but it honestly didn't seem like there was much to do here. The only thing that sounded to be of any interest was Amityville's upcoming prom.
"Where is everyone?" He grumbled beneath his breath, rolling over until his face was planted in the dead leaves that covered the forest floor. When he spoke again, his voice was muffled. "Where are Jay and Senga and Lan and Tseng and...and..."
He trailed off with a groan, much like a the groan a whiny child would admit. He was so boooored.

Now there was a nice little lawn to catch dragonflies and experiment with tearing their wings off! No. Done it last time, no fun at all. Poor thing dropped dead. Or should she try to catch some pets to study their fear abilities? No, that wasn't fun either. Making a nest out of grass? Dumb, that would occupy her for some time, but then there's no use in it. Doing something useful? She hated being useful. She made a pout of bored impatience. Her grey eyes were turbulent and wild, lustful for adventure. Boring. Boring. She kicked the closest tree - and startled when she heard a groan coming from the dry grass and leaves. Speaking moss? My Jack. That's a promising start. There might be someone in there. At least it was something unexpected. "Hey there!" she cried out. "What are you doing? Humour me, show yourself!..." - and then tailed off capriciously. "Or should I drag you out..."

Zhiqiang jumped at the sudden voice, his whole body doing a strange twitch on the forest floor. Who...who was that? And what did she want?
...Was she here to drag him back and make him do some real work?
The thought was enough to encourage the Conquest horseman to push himself back up to his feet, his dark eyes wide with alarm. However, perhaps that was not the wisest of ideas--standing at 6'0", and with a very distinctive skin tone, Zhiqiang stood out like a sore thumb among the greens and neutral colors of the forest.
That, and when he took a quick look around, he realized that the person who had been calling for him to show himself was standing right there. He stared at her, and then flung both of his arms up in the air.
"I'M NOT WORKING!"
With that declaration--and with his arms still held upright--the Conquest horseman began awkwardly run away.

Heidla laughed. "Of course you are not! Or you would never see me here. I detest working, especially for communal causes. This is nooo fun". And actually, I am not supposed to work, haven't you noticed that? She added silently, indignant at the thought that someone could even associate her with work. The only type of work she recognized was mental strain. Or imagination. Or trance. But that definitely wasn't it. And the person she found there in the grass hiding definitely didn't look like he was experiencing trance visions. But who was it, after all? And should he be running right after he saw her, spoiling all the fun? Just when it started to get interesting! That was not fair! She just won't let him do it, - so she just rushed after him. What an awkward creature! Why should he run with his hands in the air? Was it because his sleeves were too long and he made it sure not to trip over them. Heidla jumped and caught one of his long sleeves that were waiving in the air like a flag at some official ceremony. ' Where do you think you're going? I have not dismissed you yet..." For from the height of her years in the Temple of Death Heidla was sure that if a priestess was kind enough to address a person, the only thing they could do is to stand there and let her speak. Kaiyumi God! He is funny. Sorry for my lame attack to catch him smile

"Nooooooooooooooooo..."
Zhiqiang's wail was long, drawn out...and completely over-dramatic. He was acting as if he had been tackled to the ground, but in reality, the stranger had only grasped one of his sleeves. If he really wanted to escape, it probably wouldn't have been a difficult task to simply yank himself free and flee, but apparently that fact was beyond the horseman's mental capabilities.
There was a big, sad frown on his face as he flailed the arm connected to his captured sleeve. He made no effort to escape--he just stood there, wriggling his arm in a very weak attempt to get free while wearing the biggest frown on his face. When it became obvious that he would not be released so easily, Zhiqiang went limp, flopping onto the ground face first.
"Let gooooooooo." Boozver Ahhhh, sorry I take so long to tag/that it's a short post! I have a lot of RPs to go through, lmao OTL ;; And I'm glad Zhiqiang amuses you, haha! >u> <33

"I will", Heidla nodded. " I will if you promise not to run away again". She scrutinized the person, still cautious enough not to let his sleeve go. There was something familiar in his features, and something around him that made her suspicious that he belonged to one of the Clans. Judging by his complex attire - too weird to her liking, but curious enough to admire - he could have been from the... " And just to put things straight, who exactly are you and why do you keep running away? Are you a member of the Conquest Clan?" To be exact, she could not be sure. If he was from the Conquest Clan, it would have been the first Conquest horseman she had seen in her life. But he could have told her he was from any other clan, or even any other place; she would have believed him with ease. Besides she did not exactly care as long as he could keep her company. Seeing him flopping down his face now buried in the grass again, she giggled: " Wow, you're amusing! Did anything happen to you here, clansman, that made you so distraught as to hide your face in the ground? Or is it an unknown ancient ritual of your clan?"

Zhiqiang lifted his head at the mention of his clan, peering up at the horsewoman as he nodded. There was a few moments of silence as he considered all the questions, and then--at a ridiculously fast speed and with no punctuation--he replied, "Well you see my name is Zhiqiang and I'm of the Conquest clan yes you guessed that right but anyways the reason I run from you is because--" Big breath in, "--you're here to make me do work and I'm not going to do work so there. You can't make me!"
And then he threw his arms up over his head again and flailed like a dying fish.
The question about whether his actions were connected to a ritual earned a laugh from the horseman. "Oh, no, nothing of the sort--" There was a pause, and then his head suddenly shot back up, eyes wide. Aw, shoot! In his eagerness to avoid doing any work, he had forgotten about a previous appointment he had made to help a friend. Turning to look at the horseman, he flailed one of his arms at her. "I HAVE TO GO! Nice talking to you!"
And with that, he hastily retreated...by rolling away across the forest ground.Boozver SORRY FOR HASTY POST. ;; I'm actually on vacation, and I didn't want to keep you waiting too long, so 8DD;;;;
